History

Established in 1979.

Crystal’s father, Wesley Daggett, started the business in 1979, when the plant he worked for went out of business. The Daggett Family was well known in the area for being industrious, honest, and very capable. Wes stuck a sign out on his front lawn with a list of his skills and a new business was born. Wesley talked Crystal and her husband, Chris into leaving their jobs at Procter & Gamble in Switzerland and joining the family business. They designed and built their family home, incorporating ideas from Switzerland, where Chris grew up. Chris and Crystal are now the sole owners of Daggett Builders. It is now a corporation and all business isn’t done soley on a handshake anymore, but they still work for many of the same people they worked for back in the 80’s. The values and work ethic remain. Visit Daggett Builders’ website or Face Book page to read the testimonials.

Meet the Business Owner

Christopher R.

Business Owner

Christopher grew up in Switzerland, the son of a not very handy but gifted translater, and the grandson of a Boston carpenter. Chris inherited his grandfather’s skills and performed most of the handyman projects in the family’s old farm house in Cheserex. Chris used to hang out in the local hardware stores as a child, learning from the owners. Chris designed and built his first home in 1986 with guidance from his father-in-law, Wesley Daggett. Wesley asked Chris to join his construction business and soon became a full partner. Chris took the business skills he learned in university and as a financial analyst for Procter & Gamble, AG and combined them with the hands on experience he gained by working with Wesley Daggett. Chris and his wife, Crystal, now run Daggett Builders by themselves but they haven’t forgotten their roots, the people, and the work ethic that put them where they are today.
