Oh, boy. This. isn’t my scene: loads of cheap, processed, packaged foods. Save-A-Lot reminds me of Aldi’s, with a backcountry twist. Low prices are fine, don’t get me wrong, but the quality of most of the food here is pretty bad. Everything is packaged and has a million ingredients. I probably shouldn’t judge because this place is supposed to be full of cheap, processed foods. It’s where you go when you can’t afford ‘better’ food. Some people don’t have a choice. I understand having low funds and needing to purchase cheap food. I’ve done it. I get it. That’s why I came here. But if you have a choice, this is… well, crappy. Heh. Nothing really healthy here. Even the vegetables look fake and terrible. However, yes, there are a few basic things you can purchase here that are OK. Still, why come here for those things when you can find those with good options for everything else elsewhere? Go to Ken’s Market in town instead. It’s MUCH better.
