Brusters Real Ice Cream

The ice cream here is the bomb! We came for our first time on $ 2 Double Scoop Tuesday which is such a great deal! The lady who helped us was super sweet and accommodating, and let us sample a ton of flavors. She was really knowledgable and we had such a great customer service experience. I love that they have so many options for flavors (although, I have to admit I’m quite indecisive so I am standing there for a while trying to narrow it down to what I want, haha!) and the portions are good too. Love that it’s super inexpensive for great ice cream! Definitely a better deal than Baskin Robbins and I would recommend coming on a Tuesday!

Idk how I have never heard of this place before being a huge ice cream lover! Definitely my new ice cream spot! Love that they have a variety of amazing flavors.
On Tuesdays they have a 2 scoop special for $ 2 which how can you beat that! They have so many flavors and will let you sample as many as you want.
The workers were so very friendly. That is so rare anymore. I love the banana chocolate chip and strawberry flavors. I want to try the banana split next time. Wish this place was closer to my to my house is the only downside.

Yummy, generous servings of ice cream at a decent price; and the plethora of flavor choices was amazing! They also let you taste as many as you want. We will definitely come back here for ice cream if we are in the area.

Brusters is your good old neighborhood ice cream joint! I’ve come here once with my family, and it’s just a great place to grab ice cream. The person who was helping us out (Asian dude who I can’t remember the name of T_​T) was really nice and let us try a whole bunch of flavors before choosing. They have all the standard flavors, and a lot of interesting ones as well. The one that we were all impressed with was the «Jamaican Me Crazy» flavor, which was a coconut ice cream with almonds and fudge.
We also got a stamp card that let’s us get a free scoop after buying 9 ice creams… which means I will be back here probably in a couple of days… Also, I noticed that there were special days with deals, so I have to check those out!

Oh man oh man do I love ice cream and since I am a professional food critic AKA Unilocaler lol, I would say this place rocks!!! I mean the flavors are amazing and they seem to have new flavors every month or so, if I were to guess they have like 40 different flavors and Fresh waffle cones made daily.
Pros: Great taste, Rich Creamy Texture, Flavors and Price, also the staff are friendly and fast. Oh and the owner and his wife were nice as well.
Cons: the bday ice cream cake, it would be a better idea to offer a cake with a bucket of ice cream on the side, it seems that its either too cold and becomes stiff, I dunno maybe the restaurant that stored the ice cream cake had a really cold fridge.
I usually go here about 3 times a week because its sooo good and I just want more then one flavor.
If its your first time get the sampler which is four scoops of different flavors and its a great price

Great variety of ice cream flavors! The servers are friendly and don’t make you feel rushed when trying to decide what flavors to get. Seating is limited so don’t plan on meeting here to catch-​up with friends unless you feel like standing the whole time. The prices are a bit steep for ice cream but when we get coupons for this place, it’s definitely worth coming here.

I think this place is a bit overrated. It’s good ice cream but nothing special. Its a walk up ice cream place which was a bummer because I was hoping for a sit down ice cream parlor. Came here on a week night and there was about 3 people ahead of me. Waited about 20 minutes before I finally got my turn. They graciously give as many samples as you want but that means everyone ahead of me took forever to make a decision while only one employee ran around fetching countless samples.
I ended up getting the 4 ice cream scoop combo for $ 6. I got mocha almond, pistachio, peanut butter crunch, and oreo cheesecake. All of the flavors were really sweet but I did like the peanut butter crunch the best. I do like how they have a lot of flavors to choose from so I may give it another try if I have a sweet tooth. Otherwise, just another ice cream place.

Real delicious ice cream! Super worth every penny of it. You can taste the difference in the texture & the taste, deliciously velvety & addicting. So many flavors to choose from & even offer yummy seasonal flavors. Great customer service & super friendly staff. Don’t be afraid to ask for a sample, & even if there’s a line, don’t be intimidated it, it moves fairly quick!
They have special promos throughout the week so take advantage if you happen to land on one of the days :)

I came here again to give this place another shot. My first experience was when Brusters first opened. I had thought that the ice cream was overly sweet… After a few months, I decided to try it again.
The service here is always very great. I was able to try the flavors I wanted and the girl who helped me was very helpful.
Graham Central Station: So good! I can see why this is a popular choice here. I wish that the graham swirl wasn’t so condense and more bready, but it’s still a great flavor.
Graham Canyon: I tried this to see if I would like it, but the sample I had was overpowered with caramel.
Salted Caramel: Good! Sweet with the right amount of salty. It’s actually salty, which I like.
Green Tea: Has strong green tea flavor. I tried it twice, but thought it was a little too sweet.
Overall, the ice cream here is pretty sweet, but still very good. They have many flavor options and also have italian ice, sorbet, and sherbert.
Their $ 2 small scoop on Tuesdays is a really great deal. If I was a big fan of waffle cone, I would definitely come on Wednesdays for the $ 3.49 small waffle deal.

Pretty good ice cream. Can’t complain for only $ 2.

My favorite ice cream spot!
I’ll be honest. I’ve been coming here twice a week.
This place has so many flavors. The girls at the counter are very helpful and friendly … And patient since I always sample their ice cream flavors :).
The business recently opened about 3 months ago. The lines are sometimes short and sometimes they’re long. But it’s worth the wait. They have specials on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s ;).

I am normally not a fan of dessert or ice cream but this place caught my attention and gave me a newound appreciation for ice cream ^_​^ I had tried the chocolate raspberry truffle and the graham central station flavors. Both really good!
I was very surprised by the chocolate raspberry truffle because i normally dont like dark chocolate or raspberry but this was delicious
Pricing is pretty decent. Especially for pints and what not!
I’d really recommend this place. On any occasion. Lines get long but worth waiting for :)

I was craving sweets on my way back home when I remembered Brusters. We pulled up and there was a huge menu in front of us. I tried the mint chip and cookie dough. We stuck to the basics and ordered a small of mint chip & a small of cotton candy/​oreo.
My mint chip was similar to Rite Aids, but it had a lot more chunks of chocolate chips. The cotton candy really tastes like the real stuff and the oreo was good too.
Next time I’ll order the 3 scoops for $ 4.99. Pete was right because it’s the best deal. I’ll also order a more unique flavor that I can’t get at Rite Aid.

I love ice cream. I mean, I REALLY love ice cream. In a cone, cup, donut, bowl, with cookies or sprinkles, in a sundae or alone or whatever! lol That being said, I have high expectations for ice cream as I have tried many and I know what I like. Below are my thoughts on Brusters.

The ice cream wasn’t bad but no wow factor. It was melting as soon as they handed it to us and I DO NOT like melted ice cream. The waffle cone was bland and started breaking immediately.
My fiancé and I drove 40 min to try their Banana Chocolate Chip flavor (based on Unilocal pic) and they were out. =(I was told they have around 170 flavors so they rotate constantly. =(I settled for regular Chocolate Chip instead.
All of the flavors we got, with the exception of Chocolate Chip, were personally too sweet for me. The type that is good initially but then becomes overwhelming. Graham Canyon, Chocolate Raspberry, and Banana Peanut Butter.
Sadly, I have no interest in coming back here.

I am always down for ice cream, and my husband read online that these guys were coming over from the east coast.
We stopped by on their second day as we took the day off work and even visited a bbq joint that is always insanely busy. We came to Brusters on our way home. Oh and thanks guys for not giving us a lecture about having ice cream too early even though you are open! (Unlike a particular place who gave us the «isn’t it too early for ice cream?» speech at 12:30pm.)
I love the huge variety of options they have here! Tons of flavors, oreo cookie sandwiches, shakes, waffle cones, sugar cones, and many more things I am not thinking of. Just go look, it will take you a while to try everything!
You are not able to go in and look at the flavors which is a downer, but they do let you sample anything you would like. I sampled the white chocolate raspberry truffle thinking it would be too sweet, but it was delicious. I already had my heart set on banana chocolate chip and triple chocolate oreo as my flavors though, so I went with a scoop of each for that. I will have that other flavor next round. My husband had mint chip and banana chocolate chip.
There isn’t any seating, so be prepared for that. There are a few benches nearby. We ate in the car.
They also have a punch card. For every nine punches from ice cream treats, you will get a small waffle cone, sugar cone, or cake cone for free.
During our visit, they could not get the credit card machine to work for anything. Luckily I had cash on me which is a rarity in itself. They were going to let us have our ice creams for free as I could not pay with the card. I told them I had cash and used it. For our patience and the trouble, they gave us another punch card with five punches to add to ours with two. Then my husband found another one left on the ground with two punches. Score! Free cone coming my way.
I am a fan of this place and hope to be back often to try many more options. If it were closer I would be around even more.

After sampling the White Turtle, Death by Chocolate & Jamaican Me Crazy, I went for a cup with Graham Central Station & Jamaican Me Crazy–
Graham Central Station is a must for Graham cracker lovers. Graham ice cream with Graham cracker swirl & chocolate flakes. Each bite bursting with it’s namesake taste. This is one of their most popular flavors & I can attest to that.
Jamaican Me Crazy is Jamaican Me Lovin it! Coconut ice cream with almonds & fudge. I’m a coconut lover from way back. Love pretty much anything coconut. Combine it with almonds & fudge? Fuhgeddaboutit!!! I relished each spoonful, reggae music playing in my mind.

Service was good. I was allowed to sample what I wanted to try. Unfortunately, the ice cream/​sorbet/​sherbet/​ice/​froyo is located inside the shop, unable to be seen by the public. I believe seeing the goods, like at a gelato shop, would help customers decide what they want. Here, decisions are made by sampling. I’m assuming the lines can get long when the weather gets warm.
Parking is in a private lot, on the corner of Walker Street. & Ball Rd.
Bruster’s Real Ice Cream has some real good frozen treats at a reasonable price. With $ 2 Tuesdays, $ 3.49 Waffle Wednesdays & the frequent Sweet Rewards e-​club coupons, it’s a no brainer that I’ll be back when I want some cool, flavorful treats to satiate my sweet tooth.

Strictly Walk up ice cream windows in a corner building in a strip mall at Ball and Walker in Cypress. Offer lots and lots of flavors of ice cream, some serbert, a little ice and a little fro yo in your choice of a bowl, regular cone, waffle cone, sundae, ect at inexpensive prices. For 2 small cups, it was under $ 7.00. Waffle cones are made on site, snd the sweet aroma fills the air.
Service was fast and friendly with the opportunity to try any and every flavor. The only thing is, you cant see the flavors. Which is something I need to see to intice me. After you order, the employees go back and retrieve your flavors from one of many rows of floor type freezers. Then give it back to you.
Taste wise, its ice cream. Its good but nothing extroadanary. Didnt get the wow factor. But, still its a pretty cool building. Kids working there were nice, however they haven’t studied ice cream 101 yet and haven’t memorized every ingredient or flavor in their blends. Thats what the cheat cards are for.
There is no where to sit, just a few planters and a few bences across the way. Its not a place for a social gathering or meet and greet. Its a grab and go, lick on your way.
To me, its just okay. Still not convinced. But there is a cool resturant near by, so you can have a double wammie.
I will be back though since there are only a handful of desert places in my area.

A number of years ago while on a trip to North Carolina I vividly remember enjoying Bruster’s ice cream. At the time I had no idea it was a chain but realized this was the case when I recently read that they were expanding to the west coast. I saw this location opened near my workplace so I decided to go see if it was as good as I remembered. I wasn’t disappointed — it’s delicious!
You order at an outside window. A list of the daily flavors is posted as well as your options (cones, cups, sundaes, milkshakes). I ordered a small cup which consists of two regular sized scoops of ice cream. The flavors I chose were salted caramel and coffee toffee. My cup of ice cream was presented to me seconds after I ordered.
This is very creamy ice cream. I thought the price was fine for the size (in rebuttal to some other reviews which whine about the price to size ratio). The salted caramel was excellent — full sweet caramel flavor mixed with saltiness. The coffee toffee was very good although I prefer a deeper coffee flavor than this had.
The downside to this Bruster’s is it is just a window. There is no indoor seating. Unfortunately there is also no outdoor seating either so you are forced to stand, eat in your car or sit on the edge of a large planter that stretches along the side of the building.
While I was standing and enjoying my ice cream a carload of grandmas pulled up. They got out of the car and started walking around the building looking for an entrance. I informed them that you couldn’t go inside and that customers order at the window. «We can’t go inside to sit?» one granny asked. «That’s too bad. I guess we’ll go somewhere else.» They all got back into the car and left.
A couple of benches or small tables outside would really benefit the customers; I hope they look into doing that.
***note: I’m told they are looking into some sort of outdoor seating; I hope this comes to fruition!

We all scream for ice cream, sorbet, sherbet, yogurt and Italian ice.
I’ll be the first to admit I don’t eat much ice cream but I do like GOOD ice cream. I usually a yogurt person with some fruit toppings. And on the very rare occasion I’ll do sorbet in the summer when its REALLY HOT!
What makes this place so COOL is they sell everything so you have VARIETY! The menu is small but you still have some choices like yogurt, sorbet, Italian ice, sherbet, and of course ice cream!
There are about 26 different ice cream flavors and they let you taste test to see what you want. There is also 2 different flavors of sherbet, sorbet, and Italian ice and one flavor of yogurt. So there is something for everybody!
The also make shakes, sundaes, ice cream sands, cookies, nana splits, ice cream cakes, you can buy by the pints and quarts and I think they have some blizzards type thing-​a-​ma-​bobs! Either way they pretty much got you covered in the sugar department or the low cal options.
There is PLEANTY of FREE parking which is GREAT! I was really surprised there were not more people out but there was no line. There are two windows, with two openings on different sides so even if there was a line it goes quickly.
Before we even walked up we were greeted with a smile and a HELLO. I was treating so my comrade got a sundae with two scoops of vanilla in a waffle bowl and topped with pineapple, strawberry, whip cream and a cherry. I got 2 scoops of my fav pistachio in a waffle bowl not toppings. I wanted the bowl but not any toppings. Probably should have just gotten a waffle cone but whateves.
I didn’t notice any seating so we hopped back in the car to devour our cream! SOOO GOOD! VERY RICH and CREAMY which is how ice cream should be! The scoops are small but I didn’t need much so for me I was good! I’m always so shocked how much ice cream cost these days. I guess I’m still stuck on the $ 0.25 pre scoop I used to pay when I was a kid. Toto I don’t think we are in Kansas anymore.
I will say I enjoyed it so much I went back the next day for more. This time I got the Italian Ice in the peach flavor which was SUPER DUPER refreshing since I was hot from running around. I also tried the sorbet in strawberry in a waffle cone. DELISH and minus the extra cals.
I LOVE there waffle cones because they are soft and NOT hard as a rock or stale. I hoping this is because they make them fresh all the time. Either way I’m sold and I’ll be back!
