I stopped going to see Dr. Cartagena because I didn’t feel confident I was receiving the best care. I had TMJ issues which meant a lot of pain in my jaw. Yet, she still instructed her assistant (maybe a student?) to set my jaw wide open for about an hour, without any breaks, so they could work on my teeth. Any dentist should realize how much pain and soreness that would cause a person with TMJ disorder. My jaw was in severe pain for about 3 days after that before the pain started to ease up.
I never returned after that and I do not recommend this office due to this incident.
My new dentist makes sure to give me breaks every few minutes to close & stretch my jaw. This is the minimum that should be expected.

I came to this office because if good Unilocal reviews. I don’t think i can base anything in this visit because i came in for a gum infection. The dentist however, did seem impatient with me when I felt pain. So I’m not sure that I would feel comfortable coming back here since I have extremely sensitive teeth.

I started to go there about 1 year ago and quickly recommended her to my family and friends. She is very professional and my daughter is completely comfortable with her. Dr. Cartagena is the best dentist we have ever had!

Dr. Cartagena is great! Her staff is friendly, she is courteous, fun and professional. Her office is well kept and clean.
I had been going to different desists until now, I can honestly say, I love my dentist.

Dr. Cartagena is the most skilled, professional and patient dentist I have ever had. She listens to her patients and explains everything she is going to do next. Her staff is very courteous and accomidating. I recommend this dentist to people I know all the time.

This dentist was so rough during the teeth cleaning. She sent me to several doctors because she couldn’t figure out that I had Trigeminal Neuralgia in a tooth that had had root canal. She is not well adversed, & belittles you for feeling pain. The office doesn’t even give you a free toothbrush or dental floss. For God’s sake, she didn’t even let me rinse after she did the teeth cleaning. Please drive to a different dentist office.
