Meet the Business Owner

Paul B.

Business Owner

Back in the late 70’s Paul loved to go fishing and, being such a good fisherman, he would come back with a lot of fish. And also being a «eat what you catch» sportsman, he needed someone to help eat all of his catches. He soon became the family chef. His brothers and sister and their families all lived very close and he would cook for them after every fishing expedition. Since everyone always raved about how good his cooking was, it just seemed natural to translate that talent into his own restaurant. His first restaurant was Paul’s Seafood and Oyster Boat; opening his Richmond location in 1980 and his Highway 6 location in 1983. He remained in the seafood restaurant business until 2003. After selling Paul’s and retiring for a couple of years, he got the itch to open another restaurant He wanted this one to be a full service, sit down, family-styled, «part of the community» restaurant. Cypress Station Grill was the result.
