I went in with allergy symptoms I’ve had for nearly 20 years. My allergies are so bad that it causes me to experience vertigo at times. I was misdiagnosed for several years in Houston and finally saw an ENT doctor in California that diagnosed the vertigo as stemming from allergies. Although I have to take allergy pills year round, I don’t get vertigo. Long story short, I ran out of allergy pills and came as a new patient to this office. The doctor automatically assumed that I was misdiagnosed and glossed over the fact that I didn’t have vertigo issues so long as I took allergy pills. He insisted the vertigo was likely caused by something else because it’s rare for vertigo to be caused by allergies. I challenged his «instant» assessment and the remainder of the visit didn’t go well.
