Founded in 1991, Tutoring Club has helped tens of thousands of students nationwide achieve their academic goals. Our mission today remains the same as when we first opened our doors: to meet the needs of every child with whom we work. Because we understand that each academic journey is unique, personal connection is essential to our individualized approach. We create a positive, welcoming environment where we get to know each child not only as a student, but as a person. We then define a customized game plan to master subject matter and cultivate study skills. As educators and mentors, we make real investments in the longterm academic success of our students, creating independent, confident, self-​motivated learners for life.

History

Established in 2006.

The Cypress Tutoring Club has the privilege of working successfully with ten local school districts. We work with students ranging in grade levels from K – 12 and also with students in our community colleges. Students work in the areas of reading, math, writing, SAT and ACT, homework support, high school classes for credit and Oxford Test Prep. Our tutors work with students in our center on a 1:3 ratio, in neighboring libraries on a 1:1 or in the student’s home.

The Cypress Tutoring Club is fortunate to have excellent tutors. All of our tutors have college degrees, with many holding Master Degrees and CA teaching credentials as well. Mady Gufarotti has been the owner of the Tutoring Club for 10 years and in the Tutoring industry for over 20 years. She is a credentialed teacher and is directly involved in all of the day to day operations of this business.
