Fernando’s is always a good place for a quick to go meal when I don’t feel like cooking. Their shrimp diablo is phenomenal, but you definitely need to keep plenty of water nearby. I’ve recently fallen in love with their taco salad. Why didn’t I think about something so amazing before? They also have live music, entertainment, and two weekly buffets. A great Mexican spot.

We have gone to Fernandos for over 9 years. The staff is always friendly. We appreciate the kids eat free offer and the buffet has something for everyone. Jose is the BEST server. Over the years he has remembered our drinks and food order and always has prompt service. Sad we’re moving and won’t be able to have our weekly family night at Fernandos.

We ate there tonight with my family, party of 9. We wanted to try the country buffet night. We all were shocked at the selection, there was the Mexican and country buffet, so you had so many options. The carving station was great, we had fried turkey, brisket and pork loin. Everyone left full and pleased. For the price and quality, this was a great deal. We were seated in the heated patio area, close to the buffet. Would have given it five stars, but our waiter was nice just not very attentive.

Menu has tons of variety as well as the usual Mexican dishes. The place seems very lively at night. I was out of town and stopped in for a mid afternoon bite. This place did not disappoint. I highly encourage you to make a visit to Fernando’s. Has outdoor covered seating and lots of seating inside. If I’m anywhere nearby and hungry I will definitely stop in again

I eat here weekly. The food is about the same as any other Mexican restaurant in the area, so no particular dish stands out as a favorite. However, they do have awesome wings! I order these almost every time I visit. The Tuesday night buffet is so worth the money for the many different choices offered. You can choose the typical Mexican food, or they have a bar of other food such as chicken, ribs, mac n cheese, and other meats and veggies, and dessert bar! The wait staff is a hit or miss but it’s like that with every restaurant these days. The live bands and 90s music make this a fun place to eat!

Service, food, and price is absolutely awesome. Wife and I come here a lot and have yet to be disappointed. Service is always friendly and management always visits the table to ensure everything was done correctly. Drinks are also priced very nicely!

I visited on a Tuesday night to check out the buffet. It was busy when I arrived, but the wait for a table was not more than ten minutes. What began as a Mexican cuisine buffet now includes Southern cuisine items. I filled my plates primary with broccoli, Brussels sprouts, rice, catfish, ribs and pork chops. The ribs were tender and seasoned well. I could that the flavor profile of the ribs came from using apple wood, but also learn from the owner, that hickory wood is used also. He was expediting items from the kitchen to the buffet area. The baked pork chops were a little dry, but not overcooked to the point of being hard. As I do not eat Mexican cuisine often, I only got rice from the buffet of Mexican cuisine food. The cake and brownies looked and tasted like they were prepared in-house. The Texas margarita I ordered was good as well. The ambiance of restaurant is different from other Mexican restaurants I have visited. The motif of the restaurant was Mexican in the front with a divey, sports bar motif in the back, near the patio. It was loud with FIFA fans cheering during the game, but not unbearable for me, as it was for two patrons who asked to be seated in the front of the restaurant. Although some directions may include using GA-316, this restaurant is accessible from Johns Creek via McGinnis Ferry Rd. and Old Peachtree Rd., but out of the way for me to visit again soon. However, if you are in the area and want to be satiated for under $ 10, on a Tuesday night this is a place to try.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant and I’ve probably tried all of them in a 10 mile radius. They have kids eat free on Sunday and Monday, and we are regulars. Del Rio is owned by the same people, but even they are not as good as Fernando’s. The only other restaurant that comes close is Mistico in Winder.

I live in Atlanta and this place is far north. So that should tell you a lot. Listen, a Mexican food buffet for $ 9 bucks? Can you go wrong? Yes, but fortunately Fernando’s does right. As a result of fellow Unilocalers I trust, I ended up at Fernando’s on Tuesday, the buffet night. It’s a Mexican spot that also has American food at he buffet and good food. One of the items was Shrimp Étouffée and it was really good! I really was there for the unlimited queso and it was great. I added some ground beef to it and I was a happy buffet eater. There was even a carving station. They had brisket and pork loin and I opted for the brisket. Can I tell you it was so tender and really good! There were plenty of options from chicken to beef to fish. Veggies and starched as you Mexican fare like burritos, queso, and a taco making station. There were even a of desserts if you can fit them in. I was happy and full and still had money in my pocket when I left! Definitely worth the visit. Oh they also have a full bar and plenty of seating and parking.

I’ve been here a couple times and only on a Tuesday for the buffet, so my review it based off that. One Tuesday, Richard R. suggested we meet up here. He had me sold on a Mexican food buffet but he really had me eager once I heard it was only $ 8($ 9 exactly including tax)! We got here and I was beyond excited because there were 6 tables of food and everything ranging from spare ribs to queso. I was so impressed with the diversity of the food I couldn’t contain myself. I remember having quite a few bowls of queso my first time here so I invited a few Unilocal buddies along for the second ride. It was only a few of us, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My ranting and raving of the places was welcomed as everyone enjoyed their meal. Some of my favorites were of course the QUESO! Who doesn’t enjoy unlimited cheese dip? Especially when you go anywhere else and it’s $ 4⁄5 a bowl in itself. I also enjoyed their scalloped potatoes, beef roast, chicken burritos and fried fish just to name a few. A few people at the table had some shrimp etoufee & said that was extremely delicious. I didn’t get a chance to try this since I can’t eat much shell fish, but they were reputable people so I definitely trust their taste buds when it comes to good food. The dessert selection isn’t the most extensive. Just a few homemade yellow and chocolate cakes, but I came to eat not for the sweets so this didn’t bother me. Find me here on any given Tuesday. The drive is well worth it.

Have you ever been to a buffet at a Mexican restaurant? Before I went to Fernando’s I would have said no because I had never even heard of one. I was so skeptical because I had no idea what to expect but I pride myself on trying things that somewhat frighten me so I was optimistic and decided to jump in head first based off of Richard R’s recommendation. Mary and I decided to meet up with him on a Tuesday to try the buffet since it’s only offered on Tuesday. It’s located in a strip mall and it’s not really much to look at on the outside but as the saying goes, «you should never judge a book by it’s cover.» When you walk in, the aroma of an array of food will instantly hit your nostrils. They have much of what you would expect at a Mexican restaurant including but not limited to black beans, tortillas, unlimited queso, refried beans but what surprised me is that they also had items like ribs, macaroni and cheese, and shrimp etoufee among so much more. What takes this place over the top besides the fact that majority of everything I had was absolutely delectable was the fact that it was only $ 7!!! That’s right. $ 7. I would have been totally comfortable paying at least twenty dollars if not more based on the food alone. A hidden gem in Dacula is Fernando’s and all you need is a five and two ones to enjoy it on Tuesday night.

We went here for the first time with some friends… the staff is very friendly and the place was full. Our server was very friendly and processed our order promptly. However our wings and fries were cold so we sent them back and when we received the replacement order it was the wrong order, mistakenly given to us by another server. Surprisingly the French fries were cold on that order also. I have one pet peeve, I Hate Cold Fries, PERIOD!!! We finally received our proper order and the wings were warm but the fries were less than warm. I was surprised the manager never came over to address us about the order. We will give them another chance since the place is close to our home. It worth a visit as they have several special nights which we will try again with our kids. All in all it was a good experience and we will return.

One of the best buffets and it is Mexican. They also have a section with varying foods on different days for lunch. The price is great, food great, and service is always great. Great place to eat and I recommend to everyone.

I am from Southern California where I was born and raised. A little over a year ago I came here for the first time to get chicken and cheese nachos for me and my coworkers and was absolutely blown away. True nachos, chicken was very moist and tasty, excellent melted cheese and toppings. I would get takeout everyday if I didn’t gain any weight! this is normally what I usually get if I get takeout. Very fast and very friendly staff, whom I used to checkout quite frequently at the grocery store across the street. Good community and good vibes. Also their salsa is the best out of ALL the Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in this area! That says a lot. Can’t wait to come here and sit down with family. Del Rio is just as good, obviously.

I’m not sure how this place even has so many stars. The food is terrible. Just reheated and frozen. Nothing tasted fresh. Came in because they had a sign for all you can eat wings for 9 bucks. You can’t really mess up wings I thought. Their sauces are so terrible. All the wet sauces are super watery. The dry runs are actually okay. Service is okay. Their house beer is muller high life. This place looks like only locals go there. There’s not much around dacula so I can see why. Of you’re not from here, move on there lots of better places.
