Guy who gave my husband a quote about our broken dryer is a jerk and I am so glad I found someone else to fix it after seeing all of these other bad reviews.
Our dryer runs but puts out no heat. I looked up various reasons for the issue ordered parts and installed them (its literally as easy as plugging them in). Unfortunately that didn’t seem to do the trick and rather than continue to struggle we decided to call a repairman. When my husband told him our problems he upped the price of our quote because «there’s no telling what your wife did back there.»
First of all, don’t act like its so hard to change out basic parts that I have somehow «damaged» the machine. This isn’t rocket science and I have some knowledge of how to fix things… I know, I know it’s ironic because I am a woman, right?! Secondly, I am getting it fixed for way cheaper and by people who aren’t rude, so yay me :)

Rip off. «it’s about an $ 85 part but it will cost you $ 350». He charged me $ 95 to insult and condescend and spend about 15 minutes working here, while also trying to «sell» me a Nest thermostat. Anthony does not appear to have any interest in a long term relationship, or actually fixing the refrigerator. At first he said the refrigerator is supposed to be at 19 degrees. Then he said he jiggled a wire and «fixed» the air baffle. When we looked at it closely and felt the cool air coming out, he said it needed a new baffle — I checked — its a $ 43 part. I believe he made his money when he set the appointment. My mistake for agreeing to him coming out. Please don’t make my mistake. READ THE BACK of his work order.

Tony arrived with wrong replacement for ice maker and stated the valve needed to be replaced as well and would return the next day. ONLY Replaced the icemaker and charged for the entire repair — INCLUDING the valve! I called again stating there was NO ice and another repairman arrived (LATE) and replaced the valve. What a waste of time! Use someone else!

I would give less than 1 star if possible.
Called Anthony out to repair a non-​commercial refrigerator. Quickly diagnosed the problem to be a bad thermometer on the shelf, which indicated cooling. No repair, even though the refrigerator is in fact not working. As was pointed out to him, the fan is not circulating air in the fridge at its normal velocity, and if the door is opened a few times the temperature rises. No, no, we don’t understand refrigerators. Charge? $ 50.
While on site sees the commercial fridge is not working due to a bad compressor. (Yes, we are having a bad refrigerator day).
Asks what seems to be the problem. Told him it had been diagnosed as a blown compressor. Says «based on what your’re describing it sounds more like a fan problem, want me to take a look?» Figure why not? 10 minutes later we learn «Yup, its the compressor all right». Up charge for that? $ 100.
Look to Anthony to maximize the invoice while minimizing the effective repair.

Called them to repair my freezer and it was really a bad idea. They charge me first before repairing the freezer, I said what is that? They didn’t said something and gave me a receipt that I should pay on the counter. They started checking the freezer and they didn’t find any clue to fix it.
Then I said I wouldn’t pay anything because they repair it. But they insisted, what a bunch of scam artists. A scam indeed.

I’m surprised by all the other bad reviews. The contractor was at my house within 30 minutes of my call. He had the parts needed to fix the washing machine, and was in and out in 45 minutes.

I called this company to fix my ice make. He comes out, charges me a fortune and it make two trays of ice and stops. He says he will come out and fix it a second time– still nothing. I called on-​time appliance in Richardson and they came out when they said they would (online appointment scheduler which works great) fixed it for less then than AAnthony and finally I have all the ice I need. AAnthony is not easy to reach and he doesn’t follow up. Stay away from this guy.

I had to chase this guy the day that he originally told me he would be there by 3. He showed up at 6:30. He took apart my vent a hood and gave me an estimate for a completely new motor install for $ 1289.00 and said it would take 7 – 9 days to get the part. I told him to beat the effing road of course and called Kirkland appliance. This guy, Kaz, comes in and takes the same vent a hood apart and tells me that the motor is fine, the problem is that the switch board had shorted out and needed to be replaced, $ 279.00 including installation. I could’ve made a thousand dollar mistake because this bozo was having a bad day or whatever ridiculous reason he didnt want to take the time to test the switch. Call whomever you would like, but Anthony would have ripped me off that day, so good luck!

We gave A-Anthony’s a call when our washing machine stopped spinning/​draining. We knew it was an easy fix of either the lid switch or pump (each part costs $ 10 – 20), but wanted to use a professional rather than try to tinker with it ourselves.
A-Anthony’s gets one star, because they answered my call, they were able to make it out by the end of the same day, and ultimately our washing machine has been repaired and is working well as a result.
HOWEVER– I want to make sure other’s are warned that Anthony himself (who is the one who came to our home to make the repair) does NOT seem to be an honest business man. Although he was talkative, he spoke down to me, was defensive, and was unable to provide me with appropriate answers when questioned about the price for his work. He handed me a receipt with random numbers written out: «$ 251 with «lid switch» listed next to it, a $ 25 discount for finding him on Unilocal,then $ 315.95 was listed as the job rate, an $ 89.95 trip charge, $ 26.06 sales tax (WHAT?! pretty sure this is illegal, especially when a part is not installed), and the total came out to be $ 342.01 somehow by the Grace of God. Anthony spent 25 minutes in my home for the repairs, I am fairly certain he did not even replace the lid switch… just screwed it back into position, and when I inquired about the price he said «It’s not much more than anyone else will charge you. I have to pay for my own gas and advertising. And I can’t work in here like I can in other homes (i.e. we live in a small apartment)». I should’ve known better and asked him to leave at that point… but as a young adult whose husband was not home I wasn’t sure what to do and I know he took advantage of me. (He also argued back and forth and danced around questions when my husband called to inquire about the cost later that evening…)
I just don’t know what type of business person says to their customer «I have to pay for my own gas and advertising» and «I can’t work in here like I can in other homes». I’m sorry… as a business owner you take the cost of advertising and travel expenses and spread that out across all customers… not throw an absurd amount of money onto one customer’s tab. AND– you do not charge more because of working in a slightly more difficult space. If I were a teacher would it be appropriate for me to expect a family to pay more money for me to educate their «difficult» child?!
Please everyone just be aware of dishonest business people like this. Others may have had a very different situation, and I wish mine would’ve been. But next time I will know better than to allow someone like this to work in my home. I will NEVER call Anthony for future repairs.
