Make sure to make an appointment. I tried to walk in at 7:30am and waited an hour before they told me it would be another 3 hours till they had an open spot

Two female and two male barbers were working during my Tuesday afternoon visit.
$ 19 and 30 mins later I walked back out into the Dallas heat and felt a little cooler.

Love this place! It’s like walking into a small town barber shop in the middle of Dallas. $ 19 for a haircut and I’ve never been disappointed; albeit my hair is fairly simple. They do allow walkins, but an appointment is recommended since that’s what all the regulars do and they won’t fit you in if it means one of the regulars has to wait.

Great gentleman’s haircut. No frills. All you need. No need to go anywhere else.

Wow. This place is awesome. I came here after filtering through hundreds of reviews for barbers in the Dallas area.
I immediately took a liking to this place on the count that it is OLD SCHOOL. This is truly an authentic barber shop. The guys that have been working here have been perfecting their craft longer than I’ve been born. They use clippers and razors and even the old school barber chairs.
I walked in at 8am one Friday morning and got the best haircut I’ve had in a long time and all for $ 19. They open at 7 like old school barber shops used to. No more of this «we start our day around noon». These guys are professionals and get started working before most people even get up.
The haircut was about 20 minutes and I faced away from the mirror the entire time. The barber made small, mindless chit chat with me while a shoe caddy came by and POLISHED MY SHOES. It cost me $ 6.50 which is about triple what is is at Neimans, but I left saying «that was a better polish job then when they do it at Nordstrom».
I’ve been here twice now and think I’ve found a new barber.

I asked Siri to find me a nearby barber shop. Her first choice was Floyd’s on McKinney. Was told it would be a 45 minute wait, so I left.
Siri then directed me to Abbott’s, and I’m glad she did. This is an old school barber shop, without a lot of frills, and that’s the way I like it. Three very friendly people greeted me when I entered. I was the only customer at the time, so Caterina immediately got me into her chair. There’s not much that can be done with this balding head of mine, but Caterina took her time and meticulously gave me a great haircut. She even got out the straight razor and cleaned up the areas around my ears and neckline. A nice touch that has been phased out if other barber shops. All for $ 19.
«Come again» they all said as I left. Don’t worry. I will.

Good in a pinch, won’t go out of my way to return.

I’ve been seeing Audrey for several months now, and I enjoy my haircut as much as I do talking with her. She’s great!
I previously tried the shop a year or so ago and wasn’t thrilled, but I’m glad I went back and met Audrey!
FYI– what the shop lacks in frill and personality, she will make up for — on top of giving a great cut. And for the price, you can’t beat it! Check it out!

Got the worst haircut of my life there. I didn’t give very specific instructions, just said take about an inch off the back and less off the top. The barber didn’t even touch the top of my head even after I asked him to shorten it more.
Saying that managed to cut my back uneven, so guess I’m gonna see what my razor can do back home.

Great classic barber shop! Great service, knowledge staff, and a great shoeshine spot.
Cash only, though.

Best Barber Shop I’ve found in Dallas/​Uptown. Period.
The shop is staffed with genuinely talented barbers. I’ve used 3 (due to my walk-​in business), but quickly found my favorite and I now call to make an appointment, for their sake and my time. They have a regular clientele, and the sort of repeat business that reaffirms that they know how to cut hair (no matter if you barely have any or just decided to leave that mid 90’s grunge band you always thought would ‘make it’).
***Side note, VERY reasonably priced. That statement isn’t a trap. Its a great value! Be sure to tip to reinforce that sentiment.
I’ve yet to have a hair cut I didn’t appreciate, and actually dread ever not living in Dallas and forcing myself to find a barber that measures up.
Have you been to Super-​cuts or Sports Clips? If so, you either a.)hate yourself b.) have dark masochistic preferences or c.) didn’t know there were other options. Its never too late to seek help. This is a great place to start.

My husband got a #2 shave because his hair was starting to fall out from chemo. The barber who cut his hair was very sensitive to the situation and meticulous about the way he shaved his head and beard so that he wouldn’t have any probs growing it back. Overall great experience, highly recommend!

I love this place. It is easy to get to. Parking is easy once you figure out how to find the parking lot on the east side of the strip center. The fixtures and store finish-​out look as if they have been been in place since the place opened (in the late 1940s I think). Deco. Sitting in the chairs makes you feel as if you are part of a vintage movie.
There is a shoe-​shine person on duty all the time, a handy service to have access to.
Trish cuts my hair. I would never have thought to go to a barber shop except that is where Trish went. I followed Trish. She is an absolute genius with curly hair. I always call ahead but can almost always get in the same day I call. That is a good thing because I never know that I need a hair cut until the day I need it!
