Had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday here. Crowd was friendly, my Maker’s Manhattan was perfection and the band was definitely on point. The only drawback was the $ 7 draft beer we ordered after our cocktails. Do yourself a favor and stick to the $ 8-$ 10 specialty cocktails and skip the overpriced beer.

Cute, cozy, friendly, and wonderful! Great service, fun-loving mischievous staff, and sexy videos! It’s nice to see and hear music videos that can be as much as 30 years old! That’s hard to find and very refreshing! Great place to start the evening with good stiff drinks or round the evening out. Also great place to enjoy a lazy afternoon on the outside sitting area that faces Cedar Springs. They don’t serve food, but always very accommodating if you want to order pizza, etc. Just an overall fun, relaxing place to hang. Not uptight like some of the other Gayborhood spots.

Without a doubt, my favorite bar in Dallas. From the first day I walked in, the staff made an effort to introduce themselves, AND remember my name. Jeffrey & Jarret have been nothing but awesome, and if you want a damn good drink, they are the masters. They perfect the art of drink mixing, and will make the drinks the way that they are intended to be made! The atmosphere reminds me of a jazz club, but there is rarely jazz playing. However, there is live music several nights a week, and it is amazing! I send everyone I meet to this place. It is a gay bar, but is very open to everyone.

Billing issues… Other than that. Bartenders are friendly

Stopped in with a group of friends for a drink. There was a band setting up to play but we left before they started. The bartender was nice. It was not a good spot for our group only because we had a large group and the only seating was a couple spits at the bar and some booths that seat two. Would probably be a good place to take a date and listen to music but it was hard for us as a group since we were so spread out.

Where else can you get pretense-free bartenders, stout drinks and amazing live music every night of the week(with karaōke Tuesday and Sunday!) but Alexandre’s?! This should at the very least be your first and last stop every night on the strip!

I would’ve rated them high because it is an OK bar and fiancée and I have going there nightly because the drink are pretty cheap. Here is my issue, they overcharged our card for $ 27 and $ 30. When I called at first they said the gentleman was in a meeting. I called again and thought we were disconnected so I called back and said, «I think we got disconncted.» «He said, «No we didn’t get didn’t disconnected, I hung up on you and please don’t call here again.» I was shocked and dissapointed.

Alexandre’s is such a welcome alternative to the bars of Cedar Springs. It is laid back and unpretentious but with a classic flare that creates a cool ambiance that gay men desire. During the day, the bar makes it easy to relax with friends over martinis. At night, Alexandre’s is the only place on the strip where you can catch live music 5 nights a week. This is the kind of place where most of the customers know the bartenders by name, and after one night, you will too.

Went this weekend(Halloween Block Prty). It’s a cozy little spot a little away from th strip. They’ve been open for a number of years. It was crowded, but not congested. People were nice, service great.(limited twinks. this is a good thing!) No Drama here! Just Friendly People

This a nice, simple, gay bar. It’s small. It has intimate little booths along the wall. It has a stage with live entertainment on the weekends. It had a little patio out front. It has good drink specials throughout the week. What else can be said?

This has to be my favorite bar on earth! The staff is super friendly… Live music every night… Strong inexpensive drinks… and the music isnt too loud where you can’t hold a conversation… :) :) :) :) :) FDA!

Nice spot if you can get a spot. The booths are cozy, the bar is tight, and the area around the stage is usually full. However, there are people that will bring you drinks out to you(I think I remember this?) and the bar wait usually isn’t long. They have some cool nights with drag performers or jazz shows that are pretty intimate, if loud. I’ve met mostly good people there without the thump and the lights of nearby clubs.

Great place to relax!!!: A great neighborhood /video /live entertainment bar with a diverse crowd and an always friendly staff. Nice ambiance and and always a decent crowd with a lot less of the«Dallitude» that you find at most other locations on the strip. From the not-so-innocent, young to the the gracefully not-so-young, Alexandre’s caters to them all. The prices are a little steep, but sometimes you gotta pay for sitting at a solid granite bar with hot bartenders and live entertainment. Uhm… more like you always gotta pay for those features. Never had a bad experience at Alexandre’s. Alexandre’s is small and can get a little cramped at times, but ususally that’s not a bad thing! :)

Dear Diary, Just read an ad on DING — no destinations I wanted to go so went to ‘Cheers”. Strange day so needed/wanted(can never tell the difference) to go somewhere and why not where everyone knows your name! Ok tired of cliches time for happy hour for the week so guess where?! the people watching is always so good that the drinks are even better! Seriously a fun laid back place with upscale décor and hometown attitude — what a unique combination for Dallas!

Alexandres’s does a great job of bringing great musical talent from the Dallas community to a more open venue than some other cabarets in the area. The drinks are not too expensive, and the crowd is always really fun and friendly.

I can’t be objective about Alexandre’s because my best friend owns it. So I’ll say this, they have live music Tues-Sunday, great drinks at reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere. I’ve always said, I wish there was a straight bar that looked as nice as Alexandre’s, because that’s where I’d go for a drink regularly. I happen to like the two person booths along the wall because it gives you a level of intimacy with the person sitting across from you. I don’t go there every night, but on the nights they have jazz it’s a nice place to have a drink.

Cedar Springs answer to the Hideaway club when it opened, It featured live music every night in the cabaret/jazz/blues vein of entertainment. Music seems to have backed off a little in the years since to more of a guy-with-a-synth variety. But still, at least it is live! Lots of dark wood, and a nice bar attract a tight loyal crowd each night anyway. I gotta say the booths for two along the wall always look like a better idea than they achieve in reality… not super comfortable. So stick to the bar and suffer through the cigarette smoke.
