Dr. Min is amazing! I can’t say enough good things about him. He took his time to listen to my concerns, asked a lot of questions, and made a plan to try different things to alleviate my symptoms. He’s got a wonderful bedside manner, as well, and we talked about other interesting things while he was writing, examining something, etc. This made the appointment so much more enjoyable. Logistics: Getting to the office is a little tricky. You need to go into entrance for the big hospital and park in the garage across from Building C. Their office is C-530, which means that they are located in building C on the 5th floor. In addition, you will have to pay a minimum of $ 2 to park your car. Once you’ve parked(and gotten your little ticket stub), you just put the ticket somewhere safe and walk across the street to building C. Ride the elevator in building C up to floor 5, then follow the signs to their office. Upon exiting, you will have to go through a small gate, where you will give them your parking ticket and pay as you exit the parking garage.

I have been suffering from extreme asthma symptoms for the last few months. After failing to control it on my own, I went to my doctor’s office, only to discover my doctor had moved to a different state(thanks for the heads-up! sheesh.). I tried out the new associate and discovered I do not like being condescended to. She perscribed me medication that didn’t help. Unable to breathe, I finally ended up getting in my car to go to the ER the night before last. I chose not to go at the last minute, instead turning my anxiety into a major online hunt for a qualified doctor who would hopefully make time for me stat! I hit on Dr. Ginchansky several different times, all stellar reviews. I put in a call to Dr. G’s office first thing in the morning. I told them about my problems, and they got me in at 8:00 am THEVERYNEXTDAY. Keep in mind this doctor has been voted as one of «The Best Doctors in America», one of «The Best Doctors in Dallas», and also one of «Texas Super Doctors». His office has an impressive amount of awards in it. That, coupled with the amount of positive reviews(I could not find one negative review on him), made me realize that he is one of the old-school doctors, who believes that patients come first, which he proved beyond a doubt during my visit. Dr. G and his staff spent over 2HOURS of quality time with me doing tests and getting information about my issues. Dr. G himself spent over an hour with me, explaining everything to my satisfaction, answering every question I had. He was extraordinarily knowledgeable about virtually everything I asked him, including how different medications work(I heard bad things about certain ones), why some wouldn’t work for me(like the ones I was taking), the steps he’ll take to pinpoint the problem(tests, x rays, medication), what the issues could be, and most importantly, what they WEREN’T(ex: COPD). He also took time to explain things no other doctor had ever taken the time to explain, correcting misunderstandings about certain medications I’d had for YEARS — keep in mind, I’ve had many pulminary doctors and NONEOFTHEM had ever taken the time to explain these things to me in this manner. He also poured over my chart, asking questions that made me know he actually READ what was on it, something I haven’t experienced in a while. Other doctors seem to just go through the motions. He spent several minutes working with his assistants to find a medicine that wouldn’t break my bank, as my insurance is not the best — his staff researched my insurance FOR me, instead of telling me to do it myself(again, what a refreshing, client-oriented service no other doctor seems to offer. They even gave me a snapshot overview of my insurance: deductibles, copays, year-to-date deductibles, etc). He also personally supervised one of my tests, to observe me breathing — something no other doctor has done in the 26YEARS I have been an asthma patient. They usually just waltz in to review the results. But the thing I liked most about him? I told them that I was bad about taking medication over a long period of time. He made it clear that if i wasn’t going to follow his instructions and take the medications he perscribed me and do everything else he told me to do, do not come back to see him. That right there, something no other doctor had ever had the guts to tell me, made me a fan for life. He is serious about helping you, but you have to be serious about helping yourself, too. I will go to Dr. G until he retires. The man is amazing. His staff was very personal and professional and things went very smoothly. He’s a little old school(charts are handwritten on paper instead of using computers), but that turned out to be a comfort rather than a negative. But it was his patience, his bedside manner, his thoroughness, his obviously vast knowledge of his field, and his complete focus on me and my problems that made me feel like all patients should — like he CARES. In addition to being a great doctor, he is also in the service industry — he treats his patients as clients, not cattle. I also know I am in good hands — his resume is the best I have seen in his field. I am lucky he’s in the Dallas area! If you are looking for an OUTSTANDING doctor who does not treat you like a number but rather a human being, please go see Dr. Ginchansky and his staff over at Medical City.
