Pretty cool concert location! Super clean restrooms. Garage is clean with easy access to the streets. Plus they have on-site security. I came here to watch a SELENA tribute band called Bidi Bidi Banda from Austin, TX.

Sure beats going to the movies. It’s nice doing something a little different every once in a while. The day after Thanksgiving, my family and I went to go see The Nutcracker. I just thought it be fun to delve into the Christmas spirit since it is in season. The show was really great, but it was geared toward the young crowd — but I’ll stray away from reviewing the show, and just review the center itself. After the show, it’s no question there will be a large crowd exiting the building. It was a huge hassle getting into the underground garage — in the main entryway, there was only one escalator and 2 slow elevators. There was a very long line to get to them. I just wished they’d make the garage easily accessible, or at least make alternate routes visible. I didn’t see stairs or anything else to get to the car quicker. My alma mater always gives away free tickets to see various shows here year round — basically my way to take advantage of the inclusive tuition. I saw mostly operas, and it’s really beautiful. Although operas aren’t my go-to type of music, it’s nice delving into some creative medium I’m not used to experiencing. There’s also a show called Oral Fixation that is held at the Wyly Theater. I haven’t gone to one, but am meaning to go. If you like listening to true, personal stories you can relate to from guest speakers, this is the show to watch. FYI: Lexus drivers, you’re in luck. You get the Lexus Priority Parking space, which is the best parking space. So, use a Lexus to get here… if you have one.

First let me say the Winspear Opera house is awesome though bathrooms definitely were not thought out by architect. Too few for this many people. That said, the pricing for shows that are performed there by this AT&T Performing Arts Center(used to be Lexus Series I believe) makes no sense. I thought it was demand when I had to pay highest price category for 4th level(Dress Circle) nose bleed ticket for Book of Mormon. But I just checked Peter and the Star Catcher and find the nose bleed seats priced at $ 85 just like two available in orchestra. Makes no sense to me.
