Loved this place! Had the kimchi fries, half order of the«KFC» and the coconut curry. Everything was delicious! Perfect amount of heat and flavor. Can’t wait to go back!

We stopped here for a late lunch after our flight. We ordered Not Your Mama’s Fried Chicken in mixed & a small kimchi fries. The fried chicken was hot and juicy, I definitely recommend the soy garlic. I’m not a huge fan of kimchi, but I liked the steak and the egg in the fries a lot. The fries were a little salty for my taste, but it’s probably not an issue for most people.

Not sure what I had here, but it certainly wasn’t Korean food. I know they are experimenting with fusion, but it’s as if they don’t understand true Korean flavors. It’s certainly pricey for what you get, but I can’t say I got what I paid for. Maybe living in Korea spoiled me, but I just don’t get what this place is trying to be. P. S. Don’t get the kimchi fries.

Well it’s about time… yes somebody finally did it and took the glazed sauces you find on chicken wings and put it on the wrest of the chicken. This place has fantastic food and the fried chicken isn’t too shabby. Well ok to be honest I would fight an old woman over the fried chicken here because it’s that good. The staff are polite and very helpful with recommendations making you feel comfortable to come on in. Also I’m in and out of many restaurants on a daily basis and I have to say this is the cleanest place I have seen not just in dfw but the country. If you haven’t tried any of my recommendations you have to try this one!

Tried the chicken, it was good but a bit overpriced. Customer service was ok and the space was greatly designed and very clean

I was in Dallas for a conference and met up with friends for dinner. They said«how about Korean food?» And I said«Hell yeah! You know I love ktown!» So they brought me here. I get it, it’s korean fusion. The food was tasty but not very Korean at all. I ordered the wild mushroom pancake, my friends had Udon and the Curry Bop. When our order came out there was 2 Udon($ 13) and the curry. When I told the server I had ordered the pancake($ 7.50) and wasn’t interested in Udon she hurried back to the kitchen and returned to inform me that they were out«and had sold the last one». I asked if they made them in advance to sell through out the day and she said yes. She handed me a menu to pick something else, so I chose one of the Bops with beef(sorry, don’t remember the name). It came with 2 «bonchon» radish and jalepenos. No kimchi. Like I said, fusion, I get it. I was told you have to order(and pay for) kimchi. Which is really kind of ridiculous. I understand the concept of korean food for white hipsters but kimchi is a quintessential part of korean food, to omit it with the explanation that«we are a fusion, korean themed restaurant» just seems weird. My food was tasty but was essentially a bowl of rice with bits of cucumber and steak in it, no where near the portion size of BiBimBap found at traditional Korean restraunts. I felt bad that this was my friends first korean dining experience, but they picked it, not me. I’ll stick to my favorite haunts in Houston’s ktown.

Went for the first time and the Fried Chicken was the best I have eaten. We ordered a whole chicken with ginger soy, the Gagnham Kimchi Fries, and the pot stickers, all of our food was great. We usually have leftovers any time that we go out for dinner, but we didnt have any food left. The chicken is a must try, you can not eat at BBBop and not have the chicken. I have been craving it since I ate it. My family and I will most definitely return. The green mint lemon tea was great as well.

I had lunch here today and was blown away by the quality of the food here and really nice staff as well. I had the spicy pork tacos with french fries and I wouldn’t change or tweak anything about any of it. Delicious! You’ve got to try this place!!!

I’m very glad this came to Oak Cliff — open late, easy to get food to go, comes out quick, and tasty too. If you’re familiar with the Greenville location, they still have the rice bowls, but this menu is expanded to include fried chicken, kalbi, appetizers, and other delights. I had such an awkward and uncomfortable experience with the cashier who didn’t make eye contact or smile, was extremely quiet in a loud restaurant, couldn’t answer any questions I asked her after telling her it was my first time there, that I almost walked out. It was seriously weird and I had been wondering why the couple in front of us was taking so long to order, but when it became my turn I realized it was because this girl was just the worst. Did she recently have a lobotomy? People like that should not be allowed to talk to customers… which is I guess what they were going for since she didn’t talk. This place is new and still working out the kinks, but the food was good. Kalbi is boneless and that was a little unexpected, but it was tasty and came with an interesting slaw and some rice and kimchi. I made my own bowl, replaced the rice with lettuce to go low carb, and ended up with a pretty healthy meal that tasted good. Please… just fix whatever is wrong with your cashier so I can come back.

Went here with my family for the first time and loved it. Potstickers and soy ginger wings were amazing. The chicken dumpling bop was fairly spicy, but my mother LOVED it, and my younger sister also enjoyed her bop(kimchi bop.) Overall, I think my dad scored the best with his meal, the Heavenly Kalbi, which was practically cooked and seared to perfection. The only meal we weren’t thrilled with was the one I got, the orange bop + chicken. It didn’t seem to have all that much flavor, even with the orange sauce, and the chicken was quite overdone, which I think just added to the rather dry taste of the whole dish. However I did like the vegetable mix in the bowl though(cabbage, carrot, cilantro + broccoli. Restaurant also has a lovely staff and a great atmosphere. They were packed when we got in, but we were still seated and served quickly.

I’ve been(impatiently) awaiting the opening of bbbop in Oak Cliff and it’s finally here. I’ve been about 4 times since it opened last month and I can’t get enough. \ The fried chicken is delicious and crispy. I’ve only tried it with the soy ginger coating but I’m perfectly content eating it this way forever. My fiancé and I ordered a half bird which comes with 5 decent size pieces. I’ve had the kimchi fries twice, once with steak and the next with with chicken. I think I prefer the steak over the chicken. Eat this while it’s hot because when it starts to cool it loses the appeal. The coconut curry chicken bop is delicious. The curry sauce is my fave but there’s plenty to choose from. The pork tacos are filling and flavorful. The atmosphere is really casual and is a great place to come for lunch or dinner. There’s an outside patio which will be awesome for outdoor eating when it gets a little warmer.

Great atmosphere! Staff is friendly! The wings are amazing they are worth every penny. I ordered the KIMCHIBOP + steak. Great dish and very classic but if you want to be more exciting they have amazing sauces! Prices are very reasonable and they are open pretty late. Lastly, as a nut allergy survivor they are fairly nut friendly. All in all you would be crazy not to try!

After watching the space develop over the past few months while having coffee at Davis St., it was great to see the doors open. I had not visited the Greenville locations, but regret having not tried this sooner. Bbbop is a welcome addition to the increasingly crowded NOC food scene — tasty, healthy, affordable Korean dishes in a well-designed, casual atmosphere. On my first visit I tried the spicy chicken/dumplings to test the heat, which wasn’t lacking. Second visit built my own rice bowl with veggies and chicken, egg, and experimented with a number of sauces available. Need to get back and try the fried chicken. The service is order-at-the-counter, but once seated you can buzz a server for drink service/etc. Bbbop works for families, casual date nights, and the bar works for a low key guys night out. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu, and happy to have such a great option so close to home.

Update 3: sitting in the urgent care waiting room for almost two hours now to get medication to get a stop on this vomiting which went on last night. Thanks fr the wonderful journey, employee who didn’t wash your hands and or didn’t change gloves. You’re an a$$hole. *Update 4: I have now seen the minions movie twice. It is a cute movie. Everyone lives in the end. Even the t Rex. Sorry for spoilers. *day 3 of torrential vomit and pee-poo. The whole household has been contaminated. The puking continues. Never eating fried chicken again(or about two years after I forget how bad it was.) My mother told me eating raw cookie dough would give me salmonella, but she never warned me about the fried chicken. I wish it had tasted as good as cookie dough.

WARNING: This ‘locally sourced’ food– much like chipotle, will leave you with a steady stream coming from both sides of your body. Barfing and pooping at the same time is not fun at all. Like dominos my sisters fell to barf one by one. I thought I was safe… But at 1am the barfing started, by 2:25am here I am writing this review from the toilet with the puke bucket in front of me. Dear god. I feel like I’m dying. No food is worth this feeling, especially because I have an infant who’s stirring woke up my pukeyness. And especially not this food. Stay far away!!! 4:33am update: the bbsh*ts have taken their fourth victim. I hear puking in the upstairs bathroom as I barf down here. Only one of us remains… 2:00pm update: bbsh*to have hit the final survivor. Barf coming from every end. Drums drums in the deep! Update next day: three of us have been to the emergency walk in for the puke which never ends. I am about to travel days late back to my home after missing work and paying a boatload to move my flight with a doctor note. I’m taking my infant even though I’m nauseated beyond reason. How will I survive this flight?! I don’t know… All thanks to bibicrap Oak Cliff. Peeps salmonella lasts days. DAYS. Don’t risk it. Especially if you have kids. Doctor said we could cross contaminate them on accident but luckily the baby hasn’t gotten sick. Dear god I wish I never ate here.

Have visited twice this week and have been impressed. For Realz Bop [bowl] has short rib diced meat that is unbelievably tender and flavorful. Picked carrots and squash are the perfect counterparts to the meat. Only wish the rice was served at hotter temperature. Seoul chili sauce added good heat. Didn’t understand how fried chicken could be a specialty and seemed out if place. Was I wrong! Chicken with soy ginger sauce was fried to perfection with this crispy coating all the way around even white meat was still moist inside. Pickled daikon radish and kimchee garnish between bites cleared the palate. Kitchen is fast [hope it stays that way when the word gets out about this place in the neighborhood ]. Counter servers and food runners are very friendly. I’m usually a creature if habit and order the same thing everytime however this place is different. I can’t wait to go back and try so many other things. For me, that says A LOT! Architecturally, they did a great job of converting an old service garage into industrial chic that seems to be so popular these days.

Quaint lil joint, had to take wife, she’s never tried it. Décor is very hip, very spacious. We came for lunch but we will return for dinner very soon. Nice lil bar we want to try, heck they got Pabst on tap, a bonus in my book, lol. I love kimchi so we shared kimchi fries with steak, then I of course got the kimchi bop, wife tried the spicy chicken and dumplings. Staff was very attentive and courteous, very pleased to talk about menu and concepts. This location also boast a test kitchen so bonus items to try on events. They even have a call button on tables nice feature to keep patrons from back and forth foot traffic. Wanna take some friends next time and grab a few drinks and play on their bocce ball court they have by patio. 5 outta 5. See yall very soon.

I really love the Korean Fried Chicken here. It’s crispy, moist, and flavorful. It’s a bit of a commitment to come and dine here. It’s about a 45min drive, but if my hubby and I are craving KFC, we’ll make the drive. Plus, its close to the Bishops Arts District so there’s lots to see around the area. The staff was real helpful, especially since this is a new location. I liked the samosa eggrolls too. They were out of the fried potstickers, so I’ll be back to try it out.

The only negative thing I can say is that I wish I they had a bbbop in Plano! You know you’re in for a fun treat when a new establishment opens up in bishop arts district, especially when they have bocce available in the back. You can find parking behind the restaurant, which is a privilege when in this area of town. The ambience is really neat, casual, clean, and fits right in with the rest of the neighboring restaurants. Good for large groups(~8−10 sat a table comfortably), but there are tables suitable for 2 – 4 for the most part. They have a bar available with a menu with signature drinks(the Chiang Mai? Margarita has a nice spicy kick to it if you’re up to trying something new). Service– great attentive servers! There’s even a button at the table to press if you ever need anything and server will be on his/her way soon! New concept that you definitely should take advantage of. Food– oh the food… I was pretty hangry when I arrived and this was the perfect remedy to this dangerous condition. — the bibimbop is a behemoth of a rice bowl and delicious. Just wish we had a large spoon to scoop the rice out onto our plates even though using our own forks is a great portion control strategy. Get this dish with fried eggs and you’ll be happy you did. Spam or pork belly, can’t go wrong with either. — not your mama’s fried chicken– I could eat these all day. Large pieces of fried chicken in spicy chili or soy ginger sauce. The fried chicken skin is not like what you’d get at an American fried chicken place. It’s a little different. but definitely a good different. Crisp, flavorful and perfectly fried. — get in my belly pork belly– just YES. Seared pork belly. Enough said. — gangnam kimchi fries– great flavored, relatively thinner and cooked more well done than soft, which works better since it’s topped with other ingredients. Could’ve been served warmer, but we still devoured it. They’re that good. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

This restaurant has a really awesome«Ultra Modern Korean Dishes». The flavors are electrifying. The food is outstanding. The atmosphere is exciting, and the employees are awesome. I also love that this locations is about ¼ of a mile from the hustle and bustle of the busy Bishop Arts District. It’s very affordable. We ordered 2 appetizers, two entrées and 2 drinks, and did it under $ 30. I will definitely be back.
