Was very happy with the turn out of my tattoo. It was EXACTLY what I had in mind. Viet was fantastic and very easy and enjoyable to work with. Would definitely recommend this place and will be returning for any future work :))

Got a tattoo a couple of weeks ago and love it!!! Viet did an amazing job!!! Yes it hurt at times but mostly spent chatting with Viet, he’s great!!! Feel like i made a new friend. I gotta say I think im addicted lol

First off for those of you who don’t want to read long post let me just say that Blinks owner Viet is one bad A** MF when it comes to his craft. The guy did my sleeve and my chest and I’m always getting compliments on his work. He even touched up some work I got done before I came across him and oh boy he took my dead cheapo tattoos from when I was a kid and brought them back to life and made them look like a million bucks. My only regret is I wish I could of met Viet sooner. He is truly my guy when I need ink and I wouldn’t think of letting someone else tattoo. now if my review and the others haven’t convinced you then you have to be yellow bus special.

Really happy! Viet was great and runs a beautiful studio. He took time to do an initial consultation with me and made sure I was happy with the design over email, and then made sure everything was perfect from the design to the placement before we started. He is known for his black and white work, but I was really pleased that we decided to go with some color and the work was beautiful. He did a really great coverup of my existing tattoo — I could not be more pleased with the result.

Awesome guy, friendly, honest, and clean about his work. I found Blink Tats by searching reviews online, and these reviews are what helped me tremendously in taking the step to Re attempt to cover up a tattoo disaster from many years ago. The end result… amazing! I think what’s worse is the waiting between sessions. Viet is pretty well known for his tatting skills so make sure you book ahead. This is not a normal tattoo shop that you can just walk into. He charges $ 150 an hour and although a bit pricey… it is well worth it to get it done right than take the risk of something going terribly wrong. I will be going back to fix my bigger pieces.

So glad I found this neat little studio! Got my first tattoo today. Small and simple but with a lot of meaning. Viet was great! He was super helpful and didn’t try to scare me too much :) Super chill and great environment.
It was a little bit hard to find but a nice location. Had to wait a bit for an appointment but it was totally worth it :)

So I called back in June for an appointment to hopefully get my tattoo completed over the summer. I got a consult appointment in July and an ink appointment in August. I didn’t mind, I figured the guy was busy because he’s good at his job.
Along comes the day for my tattooing (Friday) and Viet calls me to cancel the appointment because he’s sick with laryngitis and both his wife and doctor need him to rest so I tell him to let me know as soon as he feels well when we can reschedule. He says he’ll be back in the studio on wed. And he would let me know what his calendar has available over the weekend.
No call or text– so I inquire. He says he’s booked and will need to move appointments around to open up a spot for me some time the following week. I ask him to please keep me informed with any news so I can free my schedule. It’s been a month. No word from him… No apology for not keeping his appointment.
I’ve lost all desire to pay for a tattoo from this establishment. I cannot bring myself to trust someone to mark my body when they can’t even keep up with their calendar.

This was my first tattoo so I wanted someone who I could trust to do it right. I made an appointment for a tattoo with Blink because I saw they had great reviews. I walked in for my consultation and Viet was extremely organized and helpful. When I told him it was my first tattoo, he immediately have me tons of tips and instructions on what to do when I’m deciding what I want, and how to care for it afterwards, and what to expect.
I was extremely impressed during the consultation. I had an appointment a few weeks later to get the tattoo, but I couldn’t make the appointment and had to reschedule. I ended up getting a tattoo 6 months after the consultation and it is because I felt it was worth the wait to get it done at Blink and nowhere else.
During the process, Viet was extremely meticulous and very fast. He talked me through the whole process, and was very patient. My tattoo turned out great, and I couldn’t have had a better experience. From cleanliness to professionalism to talent, I could not be happier with Blink!

Got another tattoo from Viet. He is the only one I will go to. Very personable and professional. You may have to wait for an appointment, but good things come to those that wait. I will definitely be back!!!

Finally got in to consult with Viet. What a cool, unpretentious guy. He works in a secluded studio without the distractions of a street «parlor». It has a great laid back vibe where I felt that I was his most important client at that moment. He made sure that I understood that we maintain open communication with plenty of feedback. I was very pleased with the meeting and felt we both came away with a clear understanding of what I am looking for. We have set up our next meeting and I am looking forward to working with him. So far, the best tattoo experience I’ve had… and without a single needle stick!

Viet made everything easy and laid back from the very beginning. He offered a great consultation that was just like chatting with a friend about what ideas you had; I wanted a cover-​up and he was very positive from the beginning. Not to mention his studio is cool as hell.
Any issue that arose, Viet handled right away, with no hassle. I will definitely recommend him to any friends and even keep his site bookmarked in my phone browser for quick reference.
If you’re thinking about getting ink, whether you are a vet or a newbie, you can’t go wrong here.

I just finished another session with Viet today. He has created 2 pieces for me as well as touching up another one from a previous artist.
As others have said you will wait for a session as he is very busy. I’ve worked with 3 other artists and Viet is the one that I kept returning to and will continue to do so. The wait is worth it.
He is fast, the tattoo work is amazing and he is very creative sketching the designs.

Just got a tattoo done by Blink Tattoo on yesterday. It looks absolutely amazing. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments and everyone keeps asking where I went. The artist is very talented and professional. I like that he tries to make you comfortable (or as comfortable as you can be while getting a tat). Based on the previous reviews I was expecting a long wait so two months didn’t seem too bad since I was mentally prepared for longer. I contacted him through email and always had fast responses. I definitely recommend Blink Tattoo as the best in Dallas to get inked.

I cannot praise Viet (owner) enough for his artistry, professionalism and general coolness.
I was scared of getting the needle again but on a scale of 1 to 10, the pain was about a 5 to 6. During the more intense areas, I broke out with the Lamaze breathing. After childbirth, getting a tattoo is really a cake walk though.
This is not a shop that you roll into after the bars close on a random Saturday night. It took about 4 months from the first consultation to actually getting my tattoo done — cuz he’s in demand yo. It’s more like a boutique, tattoo shop which is hip without the pretentiousness.

I have been wanting to get a tattoo for over a year now, but wanted to make sure I was going to someone who was professional, talented and made me feel comfortable about my first tattoo. I came across the reviews for Blink Tattoo and was really impressed. But I think what won me over was the Portfolio on their website. The art and detail were amazing. Viet is definitely busy though. I called in early January, and had to about a month for their first available appointment. But as soon as I walked in I immediately felt comfortable. The studio has a great energy, and he took his time in ensuring that my tattoo was properly scaled and fitted. I wanted a script tattoo on my spine, and he worked with me on the exact placement. The entire process only took about an hour and a half. And he followed up with me the next day making sure I liked the design and saying to please contact him if I had any questions on the healing process. All in all it was a really great experience, and I would definitely recommend a friend to him.

As great as the reviews are and as busy as Blink may be… I believe reaching out to your customers is always number one.
I have reached out twice to Blink. Technically three, but the first time was a «my bad». My boyfriend and I went up there on Saturday, November 16^th just to see the office and talk with the artist (you will not be able to get into the building without access/​permission first) so we dialed up the extension and spoke with a gentleman who said to call to make an appointment. Ok, no biggie. That was on me.
I called a few hours later stating I would like a consultation on a tattoo I had in mind, left my name and number on the machine. No call back.
On Tuesday I didn’t hear anything so I sent an email. Along with the picture that I have in mind getting. No response.
I get that they must be amazing and most likely busy due to this fact. But come on. It’s not hard to send an email or call back saying we are booked/​busy/​whatever.
Oh well. No tattoo for me from Blink and not a great review either.
Viet reached out to me and we now have a time that I will be coming by for a consultation. I can’t wait!

My tattoo guy has fallen below my standards and so I was back on the hunt for a new one.
I came across Viet at Blink Tattoos by Unilocalers reviews.
I went in for a consultation and felt like he knew exactly what I was talking about and wanting, I felt good about talking with him about my ideas and that he was on the same page as me. So the appointment was set.
I went in for my appointment time and loved the fact that I could watch movies during my session because it seemed to help both of us through the 5.5 hours or work. He did really good at asking if I was ok and telling me how awesome I and my skin is doing. When it became apparent that my skin could not go any longer he told me that it was time to stop, I liked that fact that he paid attention to more than just what I was saying and noticed my skin too.
The environment was very comfortable and Viet is an amazing artist.
I will be going back.

I went in today at 10 am to get my first tattoo with Viet (actually two!).
First, before I decided to get one I researched pretty much all legitimate tattoo shops in the DFW area, and even some in Houston. Viet was the ONLY place that had all 5 star reviews (not just on Unilocal,but other sites, too). That gave me some comfort, but continued to search just in case. Then I got on to his facebook page and saw his work (which he has more pictures of than on the Blink studio website) and WOW. It was beautiful and it appeared he could do pretty much everything!
So I shot him an explained what I wanted, and about 2 weeks later got it done! And this was right after he got back from a long vacation, which was great he could fit me in so soon!
This is NOT the average tattoo place that I imagined. This is a fun, cool, urban style loft that feels VERY safe. You have parking located in an adjacent garage and you have to go through several digitally guarded doors to get to the studio. This is very important to me because not just anyone can walk in or come by. I felt safe and secure!
Viet was amazing. So nice and very easy to talk to and let him know my ideas. He’s not judgmental but will also help if you have questions or concerns. He’s a true artist, no doubt! He sketched my idea, let me pick a movie to watch on his HUGE tv, and my fiancé entertained himself with the fun games Viet had lying around! Even the guests not getting tattooed can have fun!
There was NO pain with my tattoos. I got a duck and balloon on one ankle and birds on a branch on the other. Super easy and the time flew by! We had nice conversation the whole time and there was never any awkward silence, even when we weren’t chatting it up!
The prices was incredible for his work. I was expecting WAY more, and plus he gave us a parking pass so our parking was free! My tattoos are great a few hours later and I have not been sore or raw in any way.
I couldn’t recommend Viet and Blink more. This is THE place to go and THE artist to trust your tattoo to. He’s so sweet and I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed with my new (and first) tattoos! I am going to try and post a picture of my tattoos so everyone can see how awesome he can do, even when the idea is a little absurd!

This is the first time I have been so excited to write a review.
I literally just left from seeing Viet on getting a tattoo that I have been wanting for a while. My problem was that what I wanted was very detailed and the placement on where I wanted it was going to be tight if it could get placed there at all. I walked in expecting to not get exactly what I wanted.
Once I talked to him, he said it should not be a problem and he really liked the design and talked me through everything even though I have had several tattoos already. His place is very cool, and the setup in intimate, clean, professional, yet relaxed.
Once he started we talked back and forth and kept making sure I was comfortable. He had no ego, he was as far from rude as possible, and he is a genuinely great guy. Now all that is fine but if his work isn’t up to snuff that really doesn’t matter. HIS WORK IS INCREDIBLE. It was much better than I hoped for and I will go nowhere else for ink.
I met his girlfriend as well and she was also kind and joined in as we talked about different places with good food while Viet finished up my piece. This was the best tattoo experience I have ever had and its the way it should be, and I will refer anyone who asks to Blink.
Overall: Great work, Great atmosphere, Super great guy, and the pricing was a bargain for the quality.
