Burgers are good but, once again, no free ice cream. Ugh… and u don’t know until after u pay. Also, suggest the cashier doesn’t yell, «Welcome to Burger Island» at the moment u walk in the door.

Burger Island has the best burgers in Dallas! It is certainly not without its flaws. It has a ghetto motif and questionable sanitation, but it’s worth it. Their Jungle Burger is definitely the best burger that I’ve had in Dallas. Amazing is an understatement. (I don’t like being guilt-tripped for a tip when I do take out, though) Still, you have to try it. Just like a certain dive bar can be your favorite watering hole, this place really does have amazing burgers and fries.

Just had a burger and tater tots delivered. I travel around the country and I must say one of the best burgers I’ve had. Lots of flavor and enjoyed every bite. Well done Burger Island. You have a great product.

Wow — this was a fine burger. The restaurant isnt much to look at, however the burgers come out burning hot, nicely seasoned, with a nice crust on the patty. I got a bacon cheeseburger and it was so tasty, however i could barely finish it since it was so huge. My husband got the double which was a pound burger. My son got their kids cheeseburger basket and that was a really reasonable portion. You can order a combo and i really liked that the fries were seasoned with salt and pepper. Pricing for their burgers range between $ 5.99 to $ 11ish. I love that they deliver for $ 15+ orders.

We wanted something greasy and terrible, but we didn’t want to leave our home. Thus, I found Burger Island on Eat24. I believe they’re the one of the only burger places that delivers in the area! I was ready to be underwhelmed due to the 3 star rating on Unilocal, but it was actually pretty tasty! We got two bacon cheeseburgers(one with extra cheese and an extra patty), fried pickles, curly fries, and tater tots. Before tip and delivery fee, it came to about $ 37. I think this was well priced. Everything had massive portions, and we had food the next day too. We will be ordering from here again the next time we make bad life decisions the night before.

Do not eat here. The food is decent but overpriced, in my opinion, for what you’re getting. I’m giving burger island 1 star because their service is awful. The cashier was the rudest person I have ever met in my life. She was cursing at me for asking questions about their menu. Saying«I just work here, don’t make the menu, if I have a problem then don’t eat here» just beyond rude and no one knows English so they couldn’t even address the problem. She was even rude to the manager/owner. Yelling, walking away, throwing her hands in the air. Horrible customer service! I feel bad they have to deal with this girl! I’m mortified by how she was acting. If you don’t want to get screamed or cursed at don’t order here or get food and dare not ask a single question.

It’s almost like a public service. Hamburgers and curly fries delivered to your door no questions asked. Nice folks and a pretty tasty burger and fries. The lady on the phone told me it would be 45 minuets, but the delivery man showed up in less than 30. Nice.

I had their Big Island Burger and it was good but it was a bit sloppy and the bun fell apart being a bit too crumple. I suppose less sauce and stuff would have been better. I guess the bun was my biggest peeve. The fries were well cooked but a bit too salty(which is typical for fast food). Finally, the plate it was served in was too small. Get a bigger plate! The place is in a low-décor setting and appears mostly as a delivery place but there were people there. I expected more for an $ 8 burger.

I love this place, we order from this place almost everyday that we work. The burgers are massive although don’t always look pretty, but loaded with flavor and all the goodies. I highly recommend the jungle burger for a massive fully loaded burger. yummyyyyyyyyy

I really like this place driven by the friendly service and great food. The burgers are HUGE and they are cooked just right. You might want to look at your afternoon calendar before ordering, because at 2pm, you will start to doze off, right after the meat sweats… Don’t say ewww, embrace it… It is worth going into a burger coma for. I really enjoy the Jungle burger, however approx 15 – 20 minutes after inhaling it, the shame will set in. You will question yourself, «why God, why did I do this again», then a few minutes after that, a smile will appear and you will think about what you will Oder next time. While you are waiting for you burger, you can always start first with the free ice cream. It’s a great way to kill time while you’re smelling the beef cooking with the onions. I highly recommend the curly fries or the tatter tots(well done). The French fries are good, but not as good as the other options.

Fries were OK, a bit dry but nicely salted. The burger was simply terrible! The bread was full of sauce and breaking apart, I could not grab the burger and had to eat it with utensils! Tragic :(

After two years of ordering food from this place, today will be the last. I always order the same thing and it was fine. Today I got served a raw burger, wet fries, wet mushrooms and no sweet tea. I called to complain. They called back and somehow forgot about me saying that all of it was bad. Never ordering again. The manager told the girl that was on the phone the burger was raw because it was ordered medium. I can hear it mooing from my trash can. It’s not even rare. Worst service ever. Bye Felicia.

For delivery burgers, this is the BEST. It’s really hard to deliver a burger without the bun getting soggy and the fries being cold and limp. Burger Island managed to BRING me a HOT, fresh burger AND fries! Is it the best burger in Dallas? Well, no… but it is definitely the best delivered one!

This place is underrated. Sure, being located next to a Cash Express and a nail salon doesn’t give you the burger vibe, but give this place a chance! The super nice ladies that run the place also cook the food. I’m sure it’s to save on some labor costs but I bet it’s also to control their product. The burgers are consistently good — never dried out, always plump and satiating, and reasonably priced. Dine-in and get ya’self some free soft-serve!

Come on! These guys deliver the best burger bang for the buck in Dallas. Really, the only other ham-B that comes close in my book is Kincaids in Ft Worth. The patty is huge and ½ pound as advertised! The bun is substantial and toasted. The lettuce, tomatoe, pickles are fresh and generous. What really puts them over the top as if the burger(with cheese) was not enough is the hand cut perfectly cooked fries. The only thing keeping me from giving them a five is the environment. I’ve been to several of their locations and evidently their business model is to find the cheapest rent possible, put no money into it and run on a shoestring. A lot of people won’t like that. But, deliver a burger like this and I’m not looking at the décor anyway. Two busy savory get every bite with my eyes closed.

I would have given ZERO stars if it were possible. At one time, this was the one of the BEST burgers in Dallas. It changed ownership and it is d.i.s.g.u.s.t.i.n.g. The service is SOBAD. BRINGBACKTHEORIGINALOWNERS

Just finished my burger I ordered for delivery and had to write a review. I’m visiting from Georgia and was getting sick of hotel food ordered thru grub hub and my order was delivered well before the quoted time which was awesome but the best part was the meal itself. When I opened the to go box I knew this was going to be a good burger. Reminds you of the homemade burgers your grandmother probably made, a little messy meat patty not in a perfect circle and served on a plain bun so as to not take away from the burgers flavor. Needless to say by the time I finished my burger, onion rings and lemonade I already thought I could totally have this for dinner tomorrow night and not just because I love burgers in general but because it tasted like fresh real food reminded me of five guys which is my go to place for lunch in Atlanta. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a slice of cheesecake to make my minimum order for delivery the cheese sticks were fine nothing special about them and in all honesty I don’t think I’ve ever found cheese sticks that have been something wroth writing home about or rather writing Unilocal about. Except maybe these fried goat cheese with honey at a little spot I know but it’s a hipster joint that would probably be offended if you called them cheese sticks. Hmm anyways haven’t gotten to the cheesecake yet as I am too full to move and still riding my burger high.

Man what a dreadful mistake. I placed my order for a medium well cheeseburger, had a seat, and, waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. It took 25 minutes to get what was one of the sorriest burgers I’ve ever had. Even though I requested all the way on the veggies, I got no onion. Suddenly I’m hearing Pink Floyd: «How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat?». Kinda how I feel about a cheeseburger: «How can you have a burger if you don’t have any onion?». The tomato, pickles and chopped lettuce that they did put on it were just pffft. The bun was chewy. Too chewy actually. Not sure what was up with that. As for the patty? JFK they must have cooked the shit right out of the cow on that sucker. That was one dry ass patty! I’m a mustard man, but, the mustard couldn’t bring life to this dried out patty. I resorted to breaking it up and dipping it in ketchup just so I could swallow it. Finally I gave up and tossed it in the trash. Welcome to the«Nasty List».

I believe it’s different people over this place now. I ordered a burger combo like I always have. Let’s just say that I perfer my bread toasted on both sides and I ordered it that way but when I got home it wasn’t. My bread was not toasted and it really didn’t have a taste. I really don’t like a plain bun not being toasted. This review is not just about the bun(big deal to me) but it’s also about the meat not having a taste. In other words you can make a burger at home better than that burger I couldn’t eat today. Fries and tea was good. My bill was $ 11 and change.
