Concours Paint & Body

I needed a Seibon Carbon-​fiber spoiler painted that I added to my 2013 Camaro ZL1. After calling a few different body shops in the North Dallas area I found Concours Paint & Body. They were immediately understanding of my needs and asked to have me drop the part by for a review. They were happy to take the job and the work came out great, I am very happy with the price and results! There are a few body shops I would recommend, Berli’s in Austin, Sewell Lexus in the Downtown area and now these guys in North Dallas. These guys are all car guys, love what they do and the work they put into the finished product really shows.

My BMW 530i was hit by a u-​haul truck and I took it back to Concours as I had taken my Audi A6 to them 10 years earlier. They had great service, made sure that all needed repairs (more than estimated by the insurance company) were done, and that I had transportation through a rental car. It was a very easy and quick fix and I highly recommend Concours!

I am picky. I was devastated when my nearly new Ultimate Driving Machine was hit by a large pickup. Miff and Derek took care of my car and made it better than new. They treated a less than personable customer, who was mad about an accident and treated me like family… and better yet… left me with a car that litterally drove and looked better than the day I drove it off the show room floor.
Well done. I appreciate the level of service they provide in an industry plagued by mediocrity.

I’ve been to Concours twice. Once for my BMW many years ago and more recently for my brand new VW Touareg TDI. I just purchased my Touareg and had only 3,900 miles on it when the unthinkable happened: I backed into another car. I am so very careful when driving (especially in a brand new $ 60,000 Touareg). There was damage on the rear bumper, small part of the rear hatch was dented in and some trim pieces needed to be replaced. Devistating.
Let me say, there was ALOT of anxiety. I wanted to be sure to pick the right repair place. I was having anxiety about shoddy repair work and having to live with rattling interior panels, uneven panel gaps, peeling uneven paint… and so on.
So I went to the collision place advised by the VW dealership: Autonation in Addison (which is probaby because that VW dealership is owned by Autonation). So I took my car there first to get an estimate. My first impression was average I guess. No one is friendly, they kind of seem like they’re in a bad mood. But no one was rude either. Everyone just seems kinda unhappy. I met with the estimate person and he wasn’t rude but he was more interested in getting the work written up and getting me out the door. There was nothing about our interaction that said he cared at all about me, my car or his job. I should have walked away at that point in hindsight.
I was told I had to take my car home and they would not work on it until the parts arrived. That sounded reasonable. But, two days after my estimate, I received an email from my insurance company that they are still waiting on my repair estimate. I was surprised because it had been 2 days since I got the estimate from Autonation. It took me over 24 hours to reach the estimate rep at Autonation… and I had to reach a supervisor. I finally got a call back from that estimator guy and he was clearly extremly annoyed with me. He was short and sternly scoulded me that the parts were on order and I need not repeat any of my concerns as he’s heard it already.
Needless to say, there was no way I was going to let that jackass touch my car. So I told him that I would be taking my car elsewhere. He then said fine, but he was still going to charge me for the parts (which he had not ordered yet). He justified that by saying «nothing is free.» I told him he can order whatever he wanted… I was not going to pay for it… and I hung up the phone as I was done with that conversation. I’m thinking if he’s rude now, what kind of service will I get when the work is done and there are problems??? No way…
Then I remembered the great experience I had with my BMW repair a few years back at Concours. I gave them a call and scheduled a time to bring my car in for them to take a look. They were extremely professional and actually seemed to care about my concerns. We had a very professional conversation and they explained clearly what they would do to make the repairs, how long it would take, and the process with the insurance company.
So I left my car for repairs and about a week later it was finished. The Touareg looked absolutely BRAND NEW! And, they detailed the car. It looked showroom new. I brought the car home and inspected the repairs and drove the car and everything was as it should be. No rattles, correctly fitting panels, perfect paint job and finish.
I highly recommend Concours. BMW used to send all of their cars there until Autonation bought that dealership (as well as the VW dealership) and now send their cars to Autonation Collision.
Getting into an accident is nerve-​racking and there’s so much anxiety about where to take your car for repairs. A bad repair job could mean you having to live with the nightmare of that problem everytime you step into your car. Well, Concours will take good care of your car.
I hope my experience helps somebody out that is in the same situation I was in week ago…

unfortunately (!), have used them many times over the years, we have multiple drivers in the family. good guys. fair price, not cheap but fair. work with you on limiting work to what you want fixed to save some money. honest. car is detailed after they do the body work. they have fixed for me vw, volvo, audi, and nissan and all looked great. think you will like them.
