Established in 1983.

Founded in 1983 by Kevin Clark, Critter Control was developed around an entirely new vision for animal control and wildlife removal. All of our locations in North America (120 and counting) consistently practice Humane wildlife management. We provide many services including professional animal and pest exclusion work to keep nuisance wildlife and pests from entering your home or business, the repair of damage caused by invading wildlife, attic clean-up and restoration, and more. The «Vertebrate Pest Management» manual has been submitted to state wildlife agencies and the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) for further usage in developing consistency in permit standards throughout the United States.

The Vertebrate Pest Management manual was developed in cooperation with staff from Michigan State University’s Pesticide Education Program, the Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources, and wildlife biologists from Critter Control.

stay away from these people!!! $ 12,000.00 blew new insulation over old contaminated insulation they contracted to remove. Ripped a dryer vent pipe from the roof that I noticed after my family room had water running down the wall when it rained, Refused any kind of partial refund for damages & not replacing old contaminated insulation. I was told Quote «That’s not going to happen» end quote. Walk a wide circle around this company. It’s a scam!!!

If I could give a no star rating, I would. Do not hire this company! The sales man came out and way over sold what the crew actually has the capability and know how to do. I was promised major repairs to my home and the crew showed up and did about 10% of what was promised by the sales rep. I still had rats, by the way. AND a hole in my kitchen ceiling where one of the workers fell through! And they somehow managed to plug a drainage pipe that caused flooding in my house. I am not even kidding! They promised to repair it and never came back and would not return any of my phone calls. Remember that old jerky boys prank call skit about the roofers, firing each other off the roof and hitting each other with hot mops… yeah…just like that! I literally don’t know how these people are in business. Shady! Don’t let them in your home.

I heard something in the attic scratching every morning around 9 am. It would continue for an hour or so then stop. So we called Critter control. A guy came out said we had a massive rat infestation. Worse is he could see blood in the attic so that means they are having babies up there which means more rats. He said they would have to clear out all the Insulation, spray, suck up the live rats with the insulation, put new insulation down, and spray something else so the rats would not come back. He said from the amount of urine in the attic me and my family will start to get sick. So comes the price… 9 thousand dollars. Yes you read that correctly $ 9000.00… So i told him I would call them back when I figured out how to pay for it. He said we have financing with 0% interest. If we don’t do it now then I will lose the discount I was given so the price would go up. Told him well that’s a chance I will have to take. Called another company, he came out looked in the attic… I had a squirrel taking up residency in my attic. He laid a live trap and fixed the spot where the little booger got in at. Cost $ 500.00!!! I asked him about the rat infestation he said you don’t have a rat problem just a squirrel. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They are a huge SCAM!!! Buyer BEWARE!!! It’s a shame I had to give them 1 star even that is to good for them.

They did the estimate for me and the price was ridiculous high $ 7,000. Who does that! I never heard that rodent control can cost that amount of money.
So, that must be something wrong with this company. And plus they pushed to do the insulation. Of course after this estimate I got second opinion and guess what… no problem with insulation and quote was way low!
I just don’t advice to go with them!

These guys do good work-overall. I had raccoons in my attic-and CC did a thorough job getting rid of these animals. Jason is an honest guy-and he did what he promised to do. I’d hire them again.

Awful. Shaun came out to our house and gave us the hard sell. Being new to the area we believed his concerns of pests. Told us our house was infested with mice, therefore snakes would present an issue to my small kids. 5k and zero pct financing was agreed. For 5k we still have not trapped 1 mouse. As for the zero pct financing … They (Shaun and Lori) lied. We have to pay the balance with a zero pct credit card. In the end it’s our fault for not doing our homework on this shady company that cannot even return phone calls. So much for friendly Texans. Please do not use this company.

Sales rep came out to get rid of the possum living under the deck. His attention turned quickly to my attic and the rat infestation. Must get all this putrid insulation out, clean the attic, and put down new insulation. Then we seal your house so nothing can ever get in again.
I happen to have a $ 500 discount card… only $ 7000. Remember there are bobcats prowling the streets eating small dogs like yours and they are attracted to rat urine.
He used all the words to promote fear, and he happened to have a crew that could come out tomorrow. I beat they do. Also claimed they were owned by Orkin. Careful with this bunch.

Heard a noise through a bathroom vent. Googled for help and Critter Control popped up first. Called them and was told it would be $ 65 for an inspection and the setting of a trap. Done, I thought. Guy came out the next day. Looked around the house and attic. Declared «things don’t look good.» Rat feces and rat trails galore. Proceeded to tell me I had two distinct rat infestations. Too many to get with traps. Would need to take more drastic steps. Walked me around the house and told me all they would do. Sat in his truck and wrote up an bid. Just over $ 8K. Showed me some photos — but nothing that was discernable — except a photo around a can light that he claimed showed a large rat had moved the insulation from around it. I pointed out that the large rat was my contractor who had just installed that can light about a week earlier. Needless to say, I got a second opinion. That second opinion was I don’t have any rats in the attic. No urine smells, no trails, no feces, no nothing. He declined to set out any traps because he said it would just be a waste of my money.
Rats in my attic? Based on their conflicting inspections, one would think at least one of the two inspectors was a rat. You can decide which one you think it was.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Bad smell coming from under the house. Figured it was a dead animal. Called CC and Jason came out to remove the animal. Said that if there’s an animal under the house, they must have gotten in through the attic, Immediately asked to inspect the attic. Said there was a HUGE rat infestation, that he could see daylight through several holes, and that our roof ridge vent was wide open and he could put his hand through it and wave at people out side if he’d wanted to. Then looked at access to crawl space under house. Said that there was a HUGE infestation there, too. Rats had damaged the insulation on our duct work. Told me our health is at risk (I was sick at the time and he knew it and took full advantage of it, going on and on about how dangerous this situation is. He scared me to death). Told me someone in his family is an escrow agent and we’d never be able to sell our home unless we had all attic insulation removed and replaced, all duct work insulation replaced, made sure all entry points were plugged, and all rats exterminated. The price? Just shy of $ 13,000.00! I was literally in tears by the time he left. Called two more companies who said, yes, there had been rats and recommended plugging holes and trapping. However, they said to call an insulation company for the attic and our HVAC people about the ductwork. We dd and guess what? After bids from exterminator, insulation company, and HVAC company, the cost was a fraction of what this company wanted. Oh, yeah, Jason never crawled under the house to remove the dead animal. After all, he was wearing his khakis and polo shirt — something that was lost on me in all of the drama. He never intended to help me out when he came, that’s for sure. Jason was a salesman, not a technician at all. Looking back on it, I feel so foolish. I fell for his spiel hook, line, and sinker. Thank goodness I finally snapped to what was really going on.

We had someone come today to checkout a possible critter situation. He determined rats and gave us a 3 step process to get this fixed. We were then quoted a crazy amount to get this fixed and I had asked some friends how much they paid for the same situation and that was in hundreds and I was quoted something in the thousands! It just seemed like he was giving us a sales pitch. Now they have a lifetime warranty so I guess if you expect them to come back to fix again it’s worth it for you but I am hoping someone comes and fixes it and never has to come back! I would suggest get a quote from them but definitely shop around

Eight men and a very nice forman, Kelly, came in and sucked out the contaminated insulation (along with the mice, eww), disinfected, put flashing on all my eves on the roof, and blew inn brand new insulation! I was worried about the price, but now my house is sealed. Even mesh on the roof vents. It feels good not to have to worry. They even fixed some duct work from the furnace that was not even caused by the mice. The original duct installers didn’t secure a duct properly.

Critter control came out for a rat/mice infestation we discovered in our home. They were extremely professional and were able to resolve the situation with urgency. The team that came out to service our house were very professional and kept me up to date on progress during the day. Critter control sent someone one week later to inspect the property and ensure great service was done. We had a full attic restoration and have almost completely resolved the rat/mice infestation. They are here working to get the last little critter. We are very happy with the work and would recommend the service.

We called Critter Control for an estimate — they were timely and I like that they used «paper booties» on their shoes when entering the house. After that, not so much. After explaining the noises we were hearing in the attic the rep climbed up. We were then told that we had a rat infestation and raccoons; and it would cost thousands and thousands of dollars to remove and remediate. Well, we decided to get a second opinion; and subsequently used the second company. We found out we had squirrels in the attic (which were trapped), and have yet to catch any rats in the traps. Oh, and no raccoons, thank goodness!
