Venture off the Katy Trail where it crosses Knox Street, and you’ll find everyday folks redefining group fitness. Our life-​changing workouts are challenging, but not intimidating. We’re infectious in our enthusiasm, and never bored with our constantly changing workouts. As our coaches like to say: «We specialize in not specializing.»

Like you, we are «crazy busy.» We want to live life to the fullest. We have families, jobs and interests that we value too much to commit endless hours at the gym.

History

Established in 2012.

CrossFit Katy Trail was founded in 2012 by friends, Park Cities neighbors and healthy lifestyle enthusiasts who fell in love with CrossFit and decided to open a gym… that was more than a gym. The idea was to alter people’s lives inside the walls of CrossFit Katy Trail, and out in the world, where they will make healthy decisions and lifestyle choices.

Think of us as a gathering place – a supportive community – for anyone who wants to get serious about fitness, and still have fun in the process.

Business Owner

As an endurance athlete, Wayne used to «lift weights,» and even PR’d in the NYC marathon and completed a 50K trail run. He was bored with his workouts until he found CrossFit, which makes him stronger, leaner and faster so he can chase his goals, but still find balance in life. His passions for family, faith, work and health drive him. As Wayne likes to say, «Doing the hardest thing you will do all day upon awakening is an awesome feeling.»
