Specialties
We offfer general internal medicine care and HIV/AIDS care to the entire Dallas community. We can help with the treatment of your high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and other general internal medicine issues. Some or our physicians at Uptown Physicians Group have been treating HIV and AIDS since the early 1980’s, before it even had a name. We are all certified as HIV SpecialistsTM by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. With the advent of highly active antiretroviral therapy, HIV has been transformed from a death sentence to a chronic, manageable illness, similar to high blood pressure or diabetes. As the incidence of problems related to HIV has plummeted with the new drugs we have available today, the incidence of heart disease and cancer has increased, which is why it is important to find a doctor who not only treats your HIV, but is concerned about monitoring your overall health and well being.
