Dr. Dirk is a former military surgeon and decorated flight officer of the United States Air Force, and has over 20 years of experience in the art and science of surgery. He has performed over 8,000 weight loss operations like the LAP-​BAND, Gastric Bypass and the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy, in addition to numerous weight loss revision surgeries. He has extensive experience not only in the field of bariatric and weight loss surgery but also in the fields of: general surgery, trauma surgery, vascular surgery and laparoscopic hernia surgery. He is a recognized national expert in the field of surgery having served as a consultant to different corporations that manufacture surgical instruments. He is a teacher of the art of surgery Dr. Dirk’s weight loss program combines a simple approach to obesity, using bariatric surgery, nutrition and exercise programs to help his patients succeed in improving and regaining their health.
