… If only my cholesterol was lower! I’ll be eating at this place every day! If you like the classic street taco, real Mexican taste prepared in a clean and nice kitchen right in front of you, and without the risk of getting sick of your bely, you are going to love this place! Hand made tortillas, dishes with the right amount of spices, this food and smells bring the memories and joy of Sunday’s family gatherings with mom and grandma cooking and ruling the kitchen from flavors that came from magic hands and not recipes. This is the place where I can re-live all of those things, yet in a more comfortable and cool American way. This is one of the many non traditional food places where the American touch actually improved a very good Mexican thing.

I tried this place once a few months ago and it was just okay. I decided to give it another shot and now I know for sure that it is really mediocre. I’ll start with the positives. The place is always very clean and tidy. Everything is open so you can see them making the gorditas in front of you, which I like. Now onto the not so positives… they take forever! Both times we went in, there was literally nobody in front of us and there were maybe 5 or 6 employees behind the counter, so I’m not sure what took so long. We only ordered about 9 gorditas(2 of which they forgot to give us). We then had to wait even longer for those 2 extra gorditas we had ordered. Boo. The food was not great. They really need to strain the meat or something before they put it in because there was so much liquid, it was actually pretty gross and extremely messy. The barbacoa gordita was not flavorful at all. I ordered horchata and I’m not sure. but I’m guessing it’s the powder packet instead of freshly made because it didn’t taste as good as horchata I’ve had elsewhere. The place is cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I ate here last night. I tried the 5 tops-sellers, according to the cashier. I was not impressed with any of them. I had high hopes. The gorditas were okay at best.

I was wanting to go for quite sometime then I invited 2 friends to go for lunch. It is a small place, kind of fast food: you order at the cashier, pay and they call you when the order is ready or bring it to you. They have many options of flavors, side dishes and… guess what??? Churros!!! I didn’t know that so I was jumping up and down when I saw it on the menu. I had the pastor, chicharron con Salsa and the Deshebrada. Well. I went twice at this point and had to have some room for churros with dulce the leche. Gorditas are full of flavor, really yummy! And the churros… oh so delicious, warm and filled with that sweet, creamy dulce the leche. If you are in the area, is a must try!
