If I could do half of a star, I would. This is the most unorganized vet office ever. And I’m not exactly sure if they know what they’re doing. My dog was just diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer and we needed an ionized calcium test. We needed the results by the time we had our vet oncology appt at Texas A&M, 4 weeks away. 10 days later, I wonder why I haven’t gotten a call with results. I called twice and both times they said they would call me back. They never did. Two days later, I call again and they give me some strange, beat around the bush answer that the results from lab were confusing because the blood sample wasn’t pulled correctly and was exposed to air and could show a false low number and blah blah blah, but they said it «SHOULD» be correct. What the what?!? How can anyone accept that kind of an answer? This test is so crucial in telling how aggressive the cancer is going to be and my dog’s overall health. This is not acceptable. This was also a test that was $ 120 and don’t appreciate paying that much for a test that wasn’t done correctly. The vet calls me back an hour later and agrees she understands where I’m coming from and would like to do another test, but send to a different lab, at Michigan State, and they will not charge me for the test. I agree and am just glad that they are going to do it and get a reliable result. We go on 12÷30÷15. They say it will take about 7 – 10 days to get back. I say that’s fine, as long I get it back by 1÷14÷16 because I need it for our vet oncologist appt at Texas A&M. They make sure they review Michigan State’s requirements on the blood sample to ensure they draw and handle it correctly this time. They assure me that they did everything correctly this time. Here we are the week of our vet oncology appointment and 3 weeks later and I’m wondering… AGAIN…why haven’t I gotten a call about results? I call THREE times asking where results are and they keep telling me they’ll call me back with results. Of course no one ever called me until the third time I called. They tell me they talked to Michigan State (which is NOT even where we sent the first sample) about the first lab result and they give me some strange answer again about how the other vet and other lab tech was incorrect and the sample and test result was actually correct and they aren’t sure why they told me that. Huh!!! I then ask what the second test said. The lady tells me that UPS supposedly lost the sample. Rrrrrright. I can’t tell you how irate I am. They refuse to give me the UPS tracking number, never had a vet call me to discuss this (which I request twice), and the contact person they spoke to at Michigan State regarding the first lab test. I also requested all of my dogs vet records, including the first lab results. I requested this twice. I never got one of the above things I asked for. I also asked for a refund for the $ 121 test since the lab results were initially found inconclusive. It’s quite a coincidence that the lab results are all of the sudden okay because the second sample was allegedly lost in the mail. I can’t believe I didn’t even get a call from the vet back!!! What kind of vet puts you and your vet through this and not even bother to call your client to apologize for this?!! And just have your office manager call instead? My dog has a VERY aggressive cancer and these people couldn’t care less. Not very compassionate at all. Such a disgrace. I would NOT recommend this vet at all. They are a bunch of quacks, have zero integrity, very unprofessional, dishonest, and extremely unorganized. It amazes me that so many awful vets are still in business. Do yourself a favor and look for another vet. Seriously. Save yourself the trouble.

I am so happy to find this clinic. Service is good, people are warm and professional. They remember my puppy’s name, good at follow up, Price is more than reasonable. I just recommended them to a friend of mine.

This summer was a tough summer for my family’s pups. We had never been to EDV when I took my youngest in for a seriously disgusting digestion issue (I’ll spare you the details). We returned in the following months with our two older pups — one with a back injury and the other with a health condition that ultimately led to us saying goodbye to her last month. Over the summer, every member of our family visited EDV with each of our very different dogs, and we all agree: EDV is a wonderful clinic. The staff and doctors genuinely care about the animals and their owners. They provide comprehensive information on treatment options and the associated costs. It is well worth the drive to receive excellent service and compassionate care for our pets.

We’ve been taking our pets here for over 30 years. Although some staff has changed, the one thing that has been and remains true is the care; it simply is the best. Everyone genuinely cares for the animals, and takes the time to explain what is and will be done. The doctors discuss the diagnosis and treatment options clearly. I always try to see my pet’s condition in human terms, as applicable to me; if it were happening to me would it be painful? What would the treatment be like? etc. This is the sort of place where I don’t feel uncomfortable asking those kind of questions.

I have been taking my dogs to East Dallas Vet Clinic for over 5 years now. Dr. Cantrell, Dr. Ellsworth and Dr. Mueller have all treated my babies. The care, concern, HONESTY and follow up is what keeps me coming back.
And the staff as a whole treat every animal like their own. They remember you and your babies. It’s nice to not have to pull and fight my dogs to get them into the clinic. Because of the love and affection they receive (and the cookies), they are willing to walk in every time!

I cannot thank East Dallas Vet enough for everything they’ve done for my babies. This is by far the BEST veterinary office I have ever encountered. Today, I took my pup Marty in for a really bad stomach bug. They always greet us with a smile and such kindness. Every single staff member clearly cares deeply for our wellbeing. They also send great email updates, always have appointments available, and will get you in ASAP in emergency cases. I had to bring Marty in today last minute and they were more than happy to accommodate. He needed to stay overnight for some fluids due to dehydration, and they gave us the most affordable deal. As long as I’m in Dallas, I will take every one of my fur children here. Thank you so much for everything you do! I can’t believe I found such a wonderful, affordable vet.

Oh. My. Gosh. I cannot believe I found such a great place to take my senior pup. I have so many great things to say about them. So many!
I found a small lump on my senior pup, Bear’s tummy. I didn’t want to drive 5 hours back to San Antonio to back to his original vet for surgery so I was on the prowl for the «best» vet in Dallas. After couple of days of searching on Unilocal and Google — I made my decision to go to East Dallas. Best decision ever! Here is why:
1. Friendly and understanding staff, very knowledgeable (even the front desk ladies) =)
2. Dr. Blair was fantastic! She was so understanding and took the time to explain to me about Bear’s surgery and reassured me that everything’s going to be alright — never had I had such caring vets for both myself and my pup.
3. Chelsei (hope I spelled her name correctly) was also fantastic vet tech that told me about her experience as a customer before working for East Dallas — very knowledgeable and super sweet!
4. After Bear’s surgery, his stitches got a minor infection (my fault — bc I got soft and didn’t want to put the e-​collar on his at all times) — and Dr. Mueller called me after 30 minutes of dropping off Bear to reassure me that he’s doing fine. Checked with me the price of the antibiotic and what they plan on doing for his infection. They didn’t charge me the office visit, just the medication.
5. Wait time is minimal to none =)
6. Clinic is clean all the time!
I can go on and on and on about this place. All my life I’ve been to vet clinics where it’s just all about money and worried if the vet is going to be knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. Here — I don’t have to worry about anything because I know Bear and myself, are in good hands!

This is the best Veterinary Clinic I have ever been to, hands down. When searching for a place to take our cats this was the first option as it had the best reviews and they weren’t lying! The level of care and compassion the staff brings is incredible. The fact that they called up twice to check up on our cat to make sure her antibiotics were working is amazing, my doctors don’t even call me to check up on me.
I would recommend this place to anyone with a pet that they love, they really do care about each animal here and it shows.

Awesome with my puppies. They are quite popular so it can be hard to get an appt sometimes.

We were very happy with the service our two cats received and will be bringing the rest of the ‘crew’ here when their next proceedures are due. Nice to know they are so close. And what Adam said is true; they seem genuinely pleased to meet us and our cats despite seeing what are probably hundreds per week. I do wish the examining rooms were a bit more cat oriented in terms of taking blood and temp; we thought that was a bit odd but maybe it was for the human’s sake?

Thanks to my current vet clinic not having any same day appointments, I was referred to East Dallas Veterinary Clinic by another Unilocaler who has an assortment of well-​loved animal babies. They were able to squeeze me in, and the whole process from staff to service was excellent. They clearly listened to what I had to say about my suspicions of the cause of my pet’s issue, and were able to quickly assess this (and importantly for my wallet book, only this) and give my pet the treatment he needed, in house. The office visits cost about $ 50, which is pretty reasonable. Tests like urinalysis and blood work were standard ($ 50 for a UA and $ 80 for a blood panel). Everyone was so friendly I can see why EDVC has so many smiling clients. Will definitely be back!

I’ve been taking my kitty here for 2 years now. I have always been pleased with the level of care. I took my kitty last year in for a uti. She was not eating due to it. One of the Veterinary Assistants gave me some really good suggestions on getting her to eat again. And I just took her in again last week for another uti. They gave me some samples of a prescription diet food they sell there & told me I could also buy special diet food from Petco. I was impressed that they did not push the cat food brand they sell at the clinic. Both times I took her in for a uti, my kitty needed medicine to take for the uti. They gave her a shot because my cat will NOT take pills.
On Saturday they do walk-ins.They do not take appointments on Saturday. Sometimes they can get pretty busy on Saturday.

Dr. Blair is the best! She truly cares about the animals. Let’s not forget about the staff they are truly amazing people. I have been to many different vet offices in the past and this by far is the best vet office that I have EVER been to. They truly care about the animals. Thanks for all you do for the animals that come to you for care.

I’ve been taking my dog here for almost a year now, since she was a puppy. One thing that has always impressed me is that everyone here gets really excited when we walk through the door. They are all really happy to see my dog. I’ve also noticed they do this with other pets too, so it seems every pet is treated like a friend here.
Unfortunately we have had to make quite a few visits to the vet, but each time we have come away with a good answer and a solution to whatever problem/​illness we are facing. I can’t compare prices since this is the only place we’ve gone to but they seem reasonable.
They do walk-​ins on Saturday, I believe.

We have been taking our Basset Hounds here for a LONG LONG time (at least 10 years). We drive past a lot of other vet clinics to get to EDVC. They are always professional, passionate, and understanding. Highest recommendation from a current regular customer.

Best Vet in Dallas! I have been to several so I know :) The prices are good and the best thing about this office are the Doctors! They always take their time and give their patients thorough care. They answer all questions and never try to rush you out. They have convenient hours and are also open on Saturdays.

We have taken our pets here for the last 10 years and have always been pleased with the level of care. Recently our dog became sick when we were camping on a weekend. A phone call was responded to immediately and the Vet was consulted. We were told what to do to remedy our dogs symptoms and what symptoms to watch for that would require getting him to a Veterinarian. This saved us from stressing about our dog. The professional staff have always been pleasant and have consistently given excellent care.

Well my poor guy got a cable wrapped around his leg and needed stitches. I called the vet in a panic on my way and let them know I was coming. They got us in immediately, discussed the charges and got my guy all fixed up. Then it happened. I opened the back door and off my guy ran to get that darn pesky squirrel that has been taunting him. Some of the staples came out and his wound opened back up. I didn’t know what to do. I’m unemployed and just dropped over $ 400 on the staples in the first place. Panic ensued. I wrapped the leg up and hoped for the best.
The next day East Dallas called to check on my guy. I told them what happened and they said, no problem bring him in and we will fix him up free of charge. As you can imagine, I had to sot down to breathe I was so grateful. We jumped in the car and he got all fixed up. Today, two weeks later we got the staples out and are ready to chase squirrels again.
