Specialties
Eden specializes in fresh homemade foods and pastries, using the finest of fresh ingredients, serving you in a relaxed and refined environment, while still charging reasonable prices. Each item on the menu is made to order; nothing is cut for your salad or sandwich until you have ordered it. At Eden, the customers’ desires and comfort are foremost on our minds, and allow you to order whatever you want even if it is not on our menu (if we have the ingredients, the chef will make it for you). Eden does not close between meals, nor pipe in loud music, so that you can relax and enjoy visiting with your dining friends. Eden makes lavish buffets on the holidays (Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, Easter,…), serves a great Sunday Brunch menu (Eggs Benedict, French Toast…), serves High Tea everyday from 3 to 5:30 (by reservation), is BYOB (saving its customers a lot of money), and offers its patrons a Food Co-Op that allows you to buy groceries at the wholesale prices that it buys them for.
History
Established in 2005.
Eden opened on March 24th, 2005, the brainchild of a National Award winning Chef Kahn, formerly of the Ritz Carlton Atlanta, but originally a Dallas native and Greenhill graduate. Reviews of Eden by the Dallas Morning New food critics, Dallas Observer food critics, and D-Magazine food critics, have all been stellar consistently since opening. The choice of location for Eden on West Lovers Lane in a converted older house, across the street from Celebration, makes it centrally located, yet retains the comfort and quiet of of feeling like you are in a friend’s home for dinner. Eden added a completely screened in Patio, with flowers and fountains, two years ago, where one feels like they are eating in a completely bug-free back yard!
Meet the Business Owner
Eden K.
Business Owner
Chef Kahn completed an award winning chef’s apprenticeship with the Texas Chefs Association, the American Culinary Federation, and the US Dept. of Labor, while working for the openings of the Hyatt Regency Reunion and the Loews Anatole, achieving the highest score ever made, at that time, on both her written and practical finals. Chef Kahn has won many culinary competitions including some National events. She opened many of the best hotels in Dallas, mostly as Chef Garde Manger, before moving away from Texas, in order to further her career. In the mid-1990’s, Chef Kahn moved backed to Dallas, where her family lives, in order to open the restaurant of her dreams: Eden. Eden Restaurant and Catering has been very successful garnering great reviews from the Dallas food critics that count!
