Fatal End In the West End

We went on a Tuesday night right when it opened… the line wasn’t long but they have to go in groups. meaning the people that you came with. so that’s why it kinda took long because you have to wait until the group before you got to a certain part of the haunted house before you can go… while the staff are just so nice not even fake nice but genuinely nice. very kind people… I have my 7 year old son with me sold the people that were in the haunted house scaring people didn’t overdo it because of my 7 yr old which I thought was a good… because my 7 year old just seeing them was scary enough. lol… wow they really decorated this haunted house very good… the attention to the details was excellent… I’m really not scared of things but I was scared… I hope to take my son next year when they re open… 2014

We came on Halloween night (2013) for the dollz haunted house. The props and setup were great, the length was awesome but there were literally six actors with crappy masks, nearly the entire 45 minutes we were inside the house was spent walking through the house. It felt like a museum instead of a haunted house. Also, they sent us in with a 15 person group so it ruined the (few) scares. All in all its a great house with too much unused potential, I won’t be going again.

We came here on a Sunday night around 9pm hoping it would be less crowded than a Friday or Saturday. The line wasn’t bad. We waited about 25 minutes before getting in. They let you go in with just your group so they space all the groups apart from each other so there aren’t backups. The men working the main doors were incredibly friendly and rather entertaining. When we got to the final door to get in I was surprised that the man standing there actually prepared us. He asked if anyone had anything specific that they were afraid of. Someone in our group said clowns so he did let them know there was a clown section and about where it would be. Then he asked if anyone was claustrophobic. My hand shot straight up! He let me know there is one section about 20 ft long where the walls come at you like airbags. He told me what to do with my arms to keep them from closing in on me. Ive never had a place inform us that well of things before. It was really great!
The haunted house section was decent. Not horribly scary but definitely enough to make you jump. I heard quite a few screamers, and I will say I did scream once. It took us about 15 minutes to get through the whole thing. There are stairs you have to go up and down and the place winds around quite a bit so you do need to watch your step. If someone is too frightened to continue they say to put your arms straight in the air. There are night vision cameras in every room and hallway you walk through with crew watching. At one point I looked up and saw a crew of 3 people walking in the rafters walking around monitoring everything.
For anyone hesitant about haunted houses I would say this one is one of the better picks for you to go to. The people do not touch you nor do they get too uncomfortably close to you. Overall I would say the staff was a 4, the prices were about a 2 ½ and the haunted house itself was about a 3 ½ to 4.

I love this haunted house. For the cost, and convenience, it is a great haunted house to go to. Every year, they outdo themselves. It was well run as usual. It is nice to still find a haunted house in Dallas, that is affordable, quality, and that you don’t have to drive 30 to 40 miles to go to.
I like that you can go to this haunted house, get a great experience, and then, you can go and get drinks next door. Also, with the rainy season here, some of the haunted houses on the outskirts are great, but you have to park on dirt lots and drive on dirt roads. A receipt for disaster waiting to happen if you get caught in the rain, and you cannot get out of the mud.
A great venus for the money.

I consider myself somewhat of a haunted house aficionado with very high standards, and this haunt completely lived up to my high standards. I was a little skeptical since it’s a newer haunt and I hadn’t heard a ton about it before going, but the experience truly blew me away.
The location is incredible — the fact that it is built through the West End tunnels immediately lends itself to a very eerie feeling. The detail in every single scene was absolutely incredible, a lot of time and money was clearly involved in building every single room. And the actors — holy crap! I hope they’re being paid well, because they are phenomenal. So committed to their characters, so in tune to what is freaking people out and the best way to get the maximum scare — even following people to different rooms and hiding in new locations after you think they’re gone.
I would 100 percent recommend this to anyone looking for a very well-​done, scary, innovative haunted house.

I really like that there is a successful haunt in the city, that has a lot of stuff in the area. I very well could take the kids to the aquarium, send them off with the grandparents while I get dinner with some friends and go to a haunt.
I was lucky enough to get a behind the scenes tour from the owners of this haunt when they were starting out during last spring. There was a lot of detail that I would have missed in the darkened light and some of the «story line» of the haunt that I got back story on. They had a lot apparently working against them with time, the fire marshal being hard on them and so on. Apparently there is a reason that most haunted houses are on the outskirts of the dfw area, because the fire marshals are a lot harder in city lines and rules and regulations you have to follow within city limits make it hard to pull off a lot of things that help make a successful haunt without costing an extra arm and a leg.
At the time they had a lot of actors walking the streets and actually going into to Fridays across the street, really interacting with folks, trying to pull in more patrons. When we went back around Halloween time I sadly found out they have been asked to stop doing this. Apparently they got a lot of cars stopping and staring & a couple actors interacted with the cars that blocked traffic. I saw some minor changes and actor change ups between times but I could have used a little more change up but these guys have toughed thru a lot so I’ll give it to them. Plus I know they are changing it up for this next Halloween season which I’m looking forward to what they have up their sleeves.

There were some weird voices coming out of that chick.
We went on Monday night before Halloween and the same night as the Ranger game – we’d promised the tweens we’d go. There was no line. Even with no one ahead of us or behind us it still took us about 20 minutes. This place put some time into their displays.
One area looked like we were in a cave, one put us in a funeral, one was a graveyard, etc. There’s a lot of neat stuff and a lot of darkness.
The actors were… hmmm…skilled. And they were more than happy to scare the bejezus out of the gals. Seems teens are tastier. I don’t want to give anything away, so I’m going to stop with the descriptions. But since it’s $ 25 per person it’s worth it. Most of the other houses are $ 30 and you HAVE to get the special ticket that gets you to the front of the line. The line wasn’t bad at Fatal End.
Down side is you pretty much have to pay for parking unless you take the train, which is a cool option. And at least we know where the Heart Attack Grill vicitms ended up. Hee hee.

We went on the Tuesday before Halloween and were very happy with our experience. I wouldn’t have heard of this haunted house, except for the deal that Livingsocial ran for it. Honestly, for $ 20 for two people, it was totally worth it. Maybe at full price we wouldn’t have been as happy, as it does only take 20 – 25 minutes to go through, but they do offer a lot of discounts on off-​nights and there was no real wait (less than 5 minutes) when we got there.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed the actors, who all had excellent makeup and did a lot of interaction (without touching) with the guests. The scenes were pretty good — there were a few locations where I felt like they could have included some additional humans, but the staff was very well-​trained so that made up for any lack of humans in some rooms. The maze is very confusing (we got lost twice and then I got out but my boyfriend didn’t immediately follow) and the actors who are to follow/​get in front of you definitely do their best to be scary.
All in all, we would go back, especially on a discount night/​if we had the FB 20% coupon. I would recommend this for couples looking for a fun date night activity and groups in the 12 – 30 range looking for something fun and in season to do during October. I wouldn’t say this is a kid’s haunted house, as I think kids would either be extremely hard to get to sleep after this (younger ones) or bored (in that awkward pre-​teen, everything is beneath me stage).

i was soooooooooo disappointed! it says the house lasts 20 – 25 min and we were out in 10. they don’t space the grups far enough apart, so we missed out o all the jump out scares, becuase of tyhis. it wouldn’t have even scared my 3 y/​o most roms are animtronic, nd there are no photo ops, and onl 1 zombe waling around ouside that refused totake picture with our family!!! we were embarrassed to take ourout of town riends here, and wish wen ever waste the money!!! a total disappointent, and will nevr return. when we cme to the exit we asked the girl f that was all andall she could do was look embrrassed and say sorry yeah that’s all. ughh… i want my money back… b fa the wort haunted house i’v ever been to!
only good thing to say was there was nowait, but that is probably for obvious reasons!

I like to rate my opinion of a haunted house based on how many screams I hear coming from my wife with each scare. I was a little nervous about this location since I believe it’s relatively new. I probably wouldn’t have tried it out if it weren’t for the coupon I had for admission. Overall, I was very pleased with what a good job they did at providing scares and for the quality of each room.
We came on a Thursday so it was a slow night with no wait. I’d assume the weekends are their busiest time. I think from beginning to end, it took us 25 minutes to walk through. Of course it would go faster if you started to run (chicken). The sets were great and the actors did a really good job at yelling, making noise and creeping you out. They also include two areas where your photo gets taken right after a scare (which you can purchase in the gift shop).
In the end I’m glad we tried out this place. If you can avoid the weekend, they seem to offer discounts that you can use. Personally, I liked going on a slow night so that you got to experience each scare in a smaller group.
