It was my first time at Fish City Grill. If you like it, don’t try the Garland location. I ordered fish tacos to go and they were plain and greasy. The plate comes with four fish tacos and a side of rice. The rice tasted old and smelled fishy. The tacos come with a honey chipotle sauce that tastes similar to tartar sauce(it isn’t spicy if you’re looking for something spicy) and a tiny amount of slaw. I ate two tacos and threw away the rice. Later, I ate the other two tacos as leftovers. The tacos REALLY need something fresh like a pico de gallo or cole slaw. I ate the tacos because they were OK. I went on a Saturday night to pick up my food and it looked understaffed even though it wasn’t anywhere near full.

Our table had oysters, calamari, fried pickles, fish tacos and the trout special. Not a bite was left. Staff was attentive and helpful.

Fish City Grill is my go to restaurant. It is my version of cheers — everyone knows my name. I have been known to eat there several times a week and even twice on the same day without even giving it a second thought. The specials that FCG offers on the chalkboard are the way to go if you want to try something unique.(You can never go wrong with red fish.) Off the menu there are a variety of dishes that are note worthy. Any dish with the chipotle shrimp is a must(if you aren’t allergic) and their serafin’s tacos are really yummy, though I would recommend ordering half an order as it is a lot of food. The staff at FCG are always willing to make adjustments when they can and are super friendly. Also, with enough time and advance notice, it’s a great place to have group dinners.

Came here because my mom was dying for seafood! Our server, Kyle, was great… attentive without being intrusive. Oysters on the half shell were huge(gulf oysters $ 16 a dozen). Oyster nachos sound weird but tasted great. Seafood platters were cooked to perfection!

Great food and great service. Kyle is awesome. He was our bartender. Food is always good and it comes out super fast. Its not that busy in here, which I like, but still worth coming out to try. Not too bad in pricing. Always has different seafood specials. Great place to try if you have the time!

Absolutely delicious! I ate my shrimp super slow so I wouldn’t have to stop eating them! The services was very friendly and attentive. The food is amazing and greatly priced. I would advise everyone to eat here all the time.

We went to the Fish City Grill in Georgetown, Texas recently and really enjoyed it, so when we discovered one of these gems close to where we live, we could not wait to check it out. The layout and menu were identical to the other one we had visited. I decided to try different things this time, and was not quite as happy with my selections — they were OK, but the shrimp were tiny and few in number. The drinks were good as were the side dishes, and the wait-service was very good. I think next visit I will go back to my favorite — the beer-batter shrimp — and see how they do with that.

I enjoy eating lunch here frequently, mostly due to the quality of the food at Fish City Grill. The oyster nachos are consistently great, I also like to have their shrimp cocktail as a light lunch on its own. Speaking of cocktail, the lemonade cocktail is great. Atmosphere is kind of a cross between Bennigans and Captain D’s, with much better service ;)

My overall experience at Fish City grill was okay. The restaurant is very similar to all the other average, low-key, affordable seafood joints that someone would only go to if they happen to be in the area. My friend and I ordered the blackened shrimp salad, bowl of gumbo soup, steamed vegetables, and a side of the rice pilaf. My waiter highly recommended the gumbo soup and claimed it was one of «the bests» but I definitely DISAGREE. For starters, the broth was really salty and lacked the typical ingredients found in a traditional gumbo soup. The best item from our meal was probably the side of rice pilaf. ** I dont think I would recommend coming here to dine considering we have better options within a three mile radius.

Great food! And happy hour all day long in Sunday! House Margaritas were only $ 3.75 and really good(coming from a margarita snob)! All you can eat crab for $ 35 made my bottomless stomach of a husband a happy man!

I love coming here, this is my dad’s favorite restaurant. Our waiter was Kyle and he is always so nice and friendly. He remembers my parents(they’re regulars) and remembered that my mom doesn’t like tarter sauce and brought her the kind of sauce she always uses without her asking about it. I decided to try the beer batter shrimp today(I normally get the gulf shrimp) and it was pretty good but I still like the gulf shrimp more. It’s not very loud in there normally so I feel like I can have a conversation without having to speak up over the noise. They have whatever game is on playing on the tv which my mom loves. The prices are pretty reasonable. This is a pretty comfortable environment which makes it a easy decision to keep going back for more

I’ve been many times for take-out and dine-in. Always good and ALWAYS friendly. They have some of the most polite and attentive staff members I’ve even seen. I’m a big fan of their tacos.

My son is graduating from high school tomorrow so we wanted to take him someplace nice to celebrate this amazing accomplishment. We had never been here before but had heard wonderful things, and we all love seafood. Along with my family(my wife and 3 teenage sons) was my mother, my step-mother and father. Mike, the General Manager, was there to meet us at the door with a warm welcome and quickly seated us. He introduced us to our amazing server, Kyle. Mike and Kyle were awesome and made our evening something we would never forget. They were gracious hosts who genuinely wanted to make sure our evening was special. The atmosphere was very nice and they had the specials(about 6 of them) written on the walls. Neat idea! We ordered some appetizers, their Oyster Nachos, Fried Dill Pickles, and their Crispy Calamari. Oh my goodness! I could have just eaten that and been happy… sooo tasty! Btw, Kyle took the tables order without writing anything down… and nailed it! Quite impressive! Most of the table ordered something from specials on the wall. My son sitting closest to me ordered the Red Fish. He gave me a bite and it was delicious! I ordered the Beer Battered Shrimp. I loved every bit of it, including the tails. The waffle fries they served with it was amazing also. For desert, we had their Homemade Bread Pudding, the Key Lime Pie, and some Peach Cobbler. I was ready to die and go to heaven. So delicious! All in all, Mike, Kyle, the atmosphere, and of course the food have won me and my family over. We will make this a regular stop in our future restaurant choices.

Ordered the crawfish this weekend. It was soooooooooo salty. We ordered medium spicy and the salt was burning my lips instead of the spice. I had high hopes that their crawfish would be decent since it was so close to home but was really disappointed. I may give this place another try in the future but definitely not for crawfish.

Stopped in after some house shopping and as always were not disappointed, well at least for the most part. We were served by the kitchen manager and he was spot on. Cordial, jovial and pleasant to have at our table. My only critique is that the Shrimp cocktail that my wife ordered was a super sweet version, I’ve had this before and agree with my wife that ceviche and shrimp cocktails are not supposed to be sweet. Vinegar, horseradish, peppers, tomatoes… I’m not sure where the sweet comes from, but it’s not my cup of tea. It should be noted on the menu that it is a sweet style. Oh, a MUSTHAVE… Oyster Nachos, every time we go, without fail. Those little boogers are friggin tasty. The oysters are sooooooo tender!!!

I’ve not been disappointed dining here both times I’ve been. They have a crawfish special where it’s 8.99/lb unless you get 3 lbs then it’s $ 25. A lb. of crab legs with it is just $ 5.99. Naturally, we ordered at least 3lbs, one normal and one nitro(supposedly spicy) and a lb of crab legs. The crawfish we got has, by far, been the freshest we’ve gotten in Dallas. As for the spice, it was a bit on the salty side so if you’re not a fan of salt then you might not like it. I also found the spice levels to be inconsistent. The first time we went, my friend and I were in tears because it was so spicy. When I went again today, the spice was no where near the same level. I didn’t even get sniffly. The service has always been very friendly and accommodating. There was no judgment as we asked for another round of crawfish and crabs and each round was brought up with the same enthusiasm as the first. Overall, pretty happy with my experience here.

This is a wonderful seafood restaurant and neighborhood bar. Every time we walk in the manager Michael says hello and we are only friends. Today our bartender was Kyle and he is a pro. Delicious margaritas and service. We had the mahi tonight And it was fantastic!!!

To say that my experience at the fish city grill was a success is an understatement! From the ambiance and tasteful music to the pleasant service I was already enjoying myself and I hadn’t even tried the food. We started with the house special«oyster nachos»… SONOFTHEGREAT gatsby those nachos are amazing! Chandler was a great SERVER but the main course hadn’t even started. Next was those waffle fries… Need me say more. Finally«The darn good burger«had arrived. This should be called the damn great burger. I don’t know what kind of magic they do in that kitchen but that burger tastes unlike any other burger I’ve ever tried. The grilled onion complimenting the bacon. The fresh tomatoes and lettuce adding a good texture, And that unicorn tasting beef patty made for an Epic burger. Well done fish city… Well done.
