FlightCar

First off I have to say that this is a brilliant idea! We landed in Dallas where I had made reservations with Flightcar. The first thing that popped up on my phone when I took it off «airplane mode» was a message from our driver, Natasha. She was waiting for us at our designated pick up location. She was very kind, informative and helpful. She took us to the lot where we picked up our rental. Yes, it was located in an Embassy Suites hotel inside what appeared to be a conference room. That did not bother me at all. Apparently it seems to bother some. This is a young company growing at a rapid pace and I understand that. Unfortunately some people will pick at anything, including how prestine a business office may or may not look. That’s too bad because they might be missing out on a great experience, similar to what I had. Natasha got us to our car, checked us in and gave us the keys. Soon enough we were off to our destination. I am giving Natasha in particular a 5 star rating and would rate her higher if it was possible. Overall our initial experience was nothing but pleasant. Flightcar definitely exceeded my expectations! Thank you, Natasha J.

I signed up for the month to month program and decided it was not a good idea after seeing a few reviews! I finally elected to do it and registered for my car to be on the monthly program till I returned in December (2013 VW Passat).
The drop off was a nightmare and come to find out they don’t drop you at your terminal they take you to the rental car terminal at DFW (Dallas Fort Worth).
The paperwork said I could pick my car up when I needed so I made arrangements (It took 14 phone calls to finally get my car) at one point they said they did have my car keys, Then they said a manager took my car to get an oil change (NO OIL CHANGE WAS DONE AND I WAS NOT REIMBURSED FOR THE TIME THEY DROVE MY CAR). They put me in a (Like vehicle for the night) if you can call a compact small car comparable to my large VW Passat!
Then the kicker like an idiot I dropped my car back off and left town!
I receive and E-​MAIL WITHOUT ANY NOTICE! That they are no longer doing the monthly guaranteed $ 325 a month program and I have 7 days to pick my car UP!
I AGREED TO LEAVE IT WITH THEM TILL DECEMBER SO NOW I HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO GET MY CAR PICKED UP OR THEY RENT MY CAR OUT WITH A REIMBURSEMENT TO ME OF .10 Cents per mile or $ 7.50 a day for the first 75 miles?
WHY THE HECK WOULD I DO THAT???

Excellent service
First time renting from Flight Car. I was a little skeptical about using someone else’s car, but the process was seamless. Though I reserved a compact, the only car left was a small, peppy Nissan SUV in excellent condition. Returning the car was quick and easy thanks to Charlie Davis. With a little advanced notice he can fix you up with eggs from the free range chickens on his farm! Bottom line– I would rent from Flight Car again.

Confirmed my reservation, and then called me as I was taking off to say they didn’t have my car available at my destination. Not a big enough company to handle business travelers or serious demand. Waiting on my refund.

I had an exceptional experience while renting from FlightCar and it was because of Charlie. Super friendly and superior customer service. Thanks to all of his help, this was the most pleasant renting experience I’ve ever had.

At first we were told that Flight Car was out of cars! But Charlie (flight car rep) worked things out and found us a vehicle. He’s a one man band and runs the Love Field location brilliantly! Thanks Charlie!

Good concept but the company is a disaster. First attempt a month ago, they said after I arrived my car wasn’t avail but they set me up at budget. At a higher fee. Still awaiting promised refund
Thought I’d try again. What a joke. Waited 20 min for my valet ride. Then showed up at a dive hole make shift office in a conference room at the ramada. Unopened mail boxes and stuff stacked everywhere. They had a Ford Focus for me. It was supposed to be premium car. When I mentioned that I had to show them the email confirmation they had sent. The manager asked me to email it to him since it didn’t show up
They had no car and it’s now been almost an hour from landing so I agree to take the focus. I go to get it. It was dirty. I mean gross dusty or even wiped out dirty. But their rep was busy taking pics of my license the car my credit card. Seriously I’ve seen yard sales run more efficiently
The kicker is I get in the car, it stinks. Cloth seats and the passenger seat has a huge stain. I start it up. Says 70 miles to empty. A quarter tank of fuel
I asked to be taken back to the airport where I rented a better car from budget than the focus for considerably less
Great concept but this company needs a lot of work before I trust them again.
I would only use again as a last resort

Awesome experience. This is the coolest concept, definitely going to tell everyone about it. Also I was kind of confused by the whole process but I think his name was Mario? Who made my life a lot easier, explained everything, called to check in morning of my departure (thank god) and was so patient with me. Really personable nice guy, good customer service overall. It started off rocky with a customer service rep on the phone who told me there wasn’t a rental available at dfw even though I had booked it. but she recovered and apologized for the confusion!

Super friendly staff! Especially Charlie Davis. Had a positive experience besides the finding out after the fact that THEY DO NOT REIMBURSE YOU IF YOU TURN IN YOUR RENTAL EARLY. You will still pay the amount for the time frame you originally gave them. However, I did get a nice Mercedes for a super cheap rate.

I booked my car at the wrong airport flying in on a Monday and luckily, FlightCar had availability. Charlie Davis picked me up at Lovefield and I got to work on time. This is a great idea and was very affordable. Especially since I booked it 45 min before my flight departed!!!

They told me that they would reimburse me for a ride that I took from the airport back in March… it’s now August… umm. I called and also went into their office back in June to check up on it… they said they’d process it immediately. I can’t be using a service that doesn’t honor its word. It’s a great concept in theory, but it needs better execution. I can’t have people all saying that they’re not going to take responsibility.
