Forest Lane Pediatrics

Both of my children have been under the care of Dr. Ron Blair since birth on one, since age of three on the other. (she’s 18 now) I have never had such a professional, consistently pleasant experience with any Physician, ever. I wish he took care of Moms and Dads. He has a strong group of Partners that have always been willing to help when needed. First Class.

Not impressed anymore.

Took my daughter for 5year wellness exam. She had an appointment with Dr. Strong.
Please note I give 5* to the Doctor and Stuff! They were very friendly, attentive and considerate.
I would still give only 1* for insurance related concerns. Just expect to do all the heavy lifting and calling your insurance yourself! My daughter has BC/​BS ever since she was born. Never had any issues with any of the previous offices and never had to pay anything out of pocket. I get to the office to be told that her 5 year well is covered by Blue Cross only up to $ 100. Everything on top i would have to pay out of my own pocket. I don’t mind paying but it was weird since i know we have great coverage. I ended up calling BC/​BS myself and spending 40minutes on the phone with them (can’t avoid it). To be told that the insurance covers 100% of wellness exam up to 7years of age. After 7 years, it covers up to $ 150 (not even $ 100!!!). At this point i will be scrutinizing any bill i receive from them (which i’ve never done before).
The question remains where did they get $ 100 from? And usually i don’t question billing… So I would have ended up paying extra (cause you pay before leaving office) on top of them getting the full payment from my insurance later.

We love this pediatric office! The whole experience is wonderful. They are very accommodating and helpful. Our primary doctor is Dr. Lily Strong and she is so great. We are so thankful we found this place!

My baby’s primary doctor is Dr. Straughn, but we have also seen Dr. Mitchell a couple of times. Both doctors, office staff, and nurses are AWESOME. Both doctors have wonderful, kind bedside manners. Everything is always explained to me in detail and I never feel rushed during her appointments. The wait time is also very acceptable for a busy doctor’s office: 5 – 10 minutes.
Bonus: They are open on Saturday mornings!

We found Dr. Liu and Dr Mitchell when they were on call at Texas Health Presby Dallas. Our baby had some small health issues at birth and they were helpful and thorough so even though they were about 20 miles from our house we decided to keep going to them. Both Dr. s are amazing (I am sure other Drs in their practice are just as wonderful), but since Dr Mitchell had seen our little one more, we stayed with him. He is the calmest person in the world, he is open to discussing things, and he doesnt rush you along. I would hands down recommend this practice to my friends and family. We just moved and are so sad to leave them!
