I have seen Dr. Godat for the the past 18 years, and would recommend him to anyone who needs a great doctor who spends extra time to get things right. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis prior to finding him and the surgery he performed was a night a day difference from what I experience with my prior Dr. He is extremely patient and will find the answer to your problems, even when your not in his office. He sincerely cares about his patients, and he always makes you feel as though your problem is his. His office staff is ALWAYS helpful and caring, especially Terry and Barbara who have been with him as long as I’ve been seeing him. You might expect some delays in your appt. if he’s called away for a delivery, but that’s with any doctor who is good and sees OB patients.

Dr. Godat was my Doctor for over 25 years and before him, his father. He delivered my one and only Son 25 years ago. I feel Dr. Godat is top notch in his field as you could not be in any better hands. I had a very difficult pregnancy and by all medical standards, should have died but with his extraordinary staff and collogues I made a full recovery. Dr. Godat has the best bedside manner and is soft spoken as I have never left is office feeling uneasy about anything. He always takes the time explain things and makes you feel like you are his only patient and he will always give you the information and treatment you need. He and his wife Jan are very spiritual and I have no doubts that all of his patients are equally important.
Before doing any type of procedure he ALWAYS takes the necessary precautions needed insure your safety during any type of procedure especially if you are a high risk case. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good OB/​GYN Doctor in the Dallas area. I moved to Austin and hated having to leave him as a Doctor as he took very good care of me for a very long time. As for his office staff, I have never had any problems with Terry as she has always been friendly and took the time to explain any question I had. Barbara his PA is wonderful and I assure you that any procedure Barbara does she is in very good communication with Dr. Godat. Rest assured that if anything is wrong with Lab work or testing you will hear from Dr. Godat personally by phone as he always communicates with his patients. I wish Dr. Godat and his Staff all the very best. As for Toni J. all I can say is you pay for what you get, if you want a good health care you pay for it, if you want poor health well you pay for that too.

Dr. Godat is an awesome doctor, but if you EVER have to deal with his office manager, Terry, you are in for a very different experience. This office also bills for any small minute detail that you discuss in the room even if these items are not resolved or responded to. Pay attention to your billing because they will bill prior to delivery which they are not supposed to do. They have the «ability» to bill for these things, but most reputable offices will not run your claims through the roof when you are a loyal patient of theirs just because «they can». Again Dr. Godat is an AWESOME doctor and I hate to leave his office for his rude office manager, but I refuse to allow them to take advantage of my insurance just because I have great insurance.
Billing–
They billed me during normal scheduled prenatal visits to ask questions that were pregnancy related. Most ob/​gyn offices bill at the end of your pregnancy, well so does this office. However, if you have questions of some sort RELATING to your current pregnancy they will bill your insurance for them as if they are diagnosing you with something! For example: I had breast tenderness and asked during my next appointment if it was normal and I was told yes I was fine. Next thing I know I was billed for a prenatal visit AND a «medical diagnosis» What a fraud! Stay clear I would not recommend this office because of their shady business practices. If you can get over the insurance scams they try to run on innocent first time mothers then Dr. Godat is a great doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mark Godat for over 24 years. He is the best doctor I have ever had. I would recommend him to anyone. He is patient, compassionate, caring and he takes time with all his patients. He answers all questions and does not rush you. He is extremely knowledgeable and the top of his field. I trust him with my life. He has delivered all three of my children and my first delivery was difficult as there were complications but he was the best. His staff are wonderful and friendly, especially Terry and Barbara and they always return my calls.
