Great Cuts

I had made an appointment for a national chain, drove up the DNT service road, happened upon some huge traffic stoppage, took a detour and went back to this shopping center, where there was another national chain that I had been to before but I really didn’t have much enthusiasm for. I decided to go up to where Fantastic Sam’s used to be and see if another barber shop /​hair salon had moved in. I believe God may have had something to do with this.
The window said Mens Haircuts $ 12.50. That’s cheap for these days. I like cheap. I went in for the cheap haircut. It’s a typical storefront hair salon. Nothing was special until I met Jenny. Jenny is awesome. She’s very nice and friendly, too. She brought me to her chair and she asked me how I wanted it cut, and I told her accordingly. Then she asked me if I wanted to do anything about the color. I forgot that someone I know had decided that I would be much handsomer if I let her take some of her hair dye and dye my gray temples, and I let her, which led her to believe it was fine to smear her hair dye over my entire head, which didn’t need hair dye in the first place. I told Jenny it was fine, it had been like that for two months, and it didn’t bother me, and Jenny’s like mmmmmkay… and Jenny started cutting, and as she cut off the top of my hair she revealed the nice, modern four-​tone brown silver orange and copper colors of my hair and I said OHMYGODI’VEBEENGOINGAROUNDLIKETHISFORTWOFREAKINGMO­NTHS.
So Jenny dyed my hair, the first professional hair dye job of my life, and hopefully my last, if I can keep the dye gremlin away from my hair. It’s a good dye job, if I know my dye jobs, which obviously I don’t since I was completely oblivious to the hair dyesaster that ocurred two months previous.
Jenny also gave me a great cut, she put pomade and hair spray in my hair (I guess it was pomade, what do I know about pomade, I know it came in a little jar like in Oh Brother Where Art Thou) and it looks great. She told me it was the best haircut ever and I believe her because Jenny is awesome.
Oh and Jenny gives the best shampoo head massage you will ever have. I might go in tomorrow for another shampoo head massage.

I’ve been going to Great Cuts for about two years, so I’m very familiar with the quality of the store’s services. The owner, Phuong, is cordial, friendly, fast, and talented. At $ 12.95 for a men’s cut, Great Cuts is a great value. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to get a haircut.
