By far the BEST pizza place I’ve been to in Dallas. Pizza is NY style and is absolutely delicious. Can take a while during their busier times, but that’s understandable. Brought many people here, and look forward to bringing more.

I ordered a large pizza from here, lacked sauce but good flavors. Not worth it for the price.

Simple, wood fired pizzas bringing you a piece of NY to Texas. We ordered the buffalo chicken, pepperoni pesto, and margherita with pepperoni drizzled in pesto. Conclusions:(1) It’s so easy to eat an entire«personal pizza» on your own. You start with the first slice, and two seconds later, you’ve devoured the entire pizza and you have no regrets.(2) Holy crap, the Oreo cheesecake. Heavens sake, don’t deny yourself this magical experience.(3) Phenomenal service. This waiter went above and beyond.

Grimaldi’s, a chain that started in New York, has a decent New York style pizza. My friend and I split a large pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage and we each ate 4 slices and were stuffed. I was disappointed that the Italian sausage was not authentic and was similar to the sausage at any chain pizza place. The tomato sauce, cheese and crust were pretty standard. Overall, it was a good pizza, nothing exceptional but not horrible either. A little pricey and I wish the sausage was better.

Walk into a little slice of NY here at Grimaldis. I love NY style pizza and freshly made cannolis. Our waitress Jasmine was very animated and friendly. We got beef meatballs and jalapeños on our pizza and it was fantastic!

WHATHAPPENED? I was such a huge fan of Grimaldi’s here in Dallas since I have relocated here from the north east and this was the one place that we could fine authentic tasting east coast pizza. Most others here were not authentic. Came back to this place last week after a long hiatus and the pizza seemed different. Was not the same good tasting crust. Also we all felt bloated after eating just 2 slices. I wonder what they might have changed in their recipe now that deviates from the east coast authenticity. Even their pizza box does not mention anything of NY. I will try again to see if this was just a fluke or a permanent change.

2016 Unilocal 100 Challenge Review #14 I am a pizza snob and I am not gonna keep you in suspense… it was certifiable. I stopped in for lunch and Steven was just awesome. This was my first time and my sister(twin) had a birthday freebie so her treat. We went with a simple pepperoni pizza which I haven’t had in a minute because I am such a deluxe girl, you know supreme this, Mediterranean chicken that. Such a simple pizza and it just shined so much. Everything was a perfect compliment. THin crust. Not too much bread. Sauce. Not too sweet. Not too much sauce or too little. Pepperoni. Just enough. Cheese. Just right. The large was a great size. We also had the spinach salad which was delicious. It was funny. They bought us a bowl. We split it and it was way more than it seemed so they packed the bowl. Very nice. Gotta have the ruffage to even out the pizza. Ended with a cannoli. It was cool. I am more of a cheesecake, brownie, ice cream kinda girl. It was so funny(again), Steven came by to get the cannoli plate and I was like I am gonna finish these chocolate chips off. He was like okay and left the plate. He brought me a small to-go container of the chocolate chips… lol…classic! He alsoo brought us two waters with lemon to go. We didn’t even ask but it was right on time! Bottom line, I will be back. Nearby parking garage. Patio is very enjoyable. TVs inside. Bathroom was clean, actually smelled good. Décor is typical Italian pizza café style. Thanks Steven, we’ll be back. Enjoyed your service! And the food was awesome.

Let me begin by saying my review rating is simply on the flavor of my meal since I ordered my meal to go. I ordered the kale and Romaine salad. This is an absolute must have!!! The flavor of the Savory with the sweet and tart is the absolute perfect combination. The lemon vinaigrette is the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant.

Very nice place. Easy to get to today during lunch time. We found parking easily(street parking, although a parking garage is nearby) as we got here early enough. We were greeting. And promptly seated. Build your own pizzas made in a brick-oven: red(red sauce), white(made using olive oil; is all cheese) and green(pesto). All thin crust but yummy. I’d like to taste more cheese in pizza. We had cannoli and it was all delish! Will def be coming back. Today this place was not too busy. We did have to wait for our drinks to be refilled(sad face).

By far, some of the worst pizza I’ve ever had and I’m honestly disappointed. The pizza was way over priced, I paid more for the toppings then I did the pizza and for a small personal pizza it’s the same price for toppings as their largest pizza(makes no sense) so I ordered a small personal pizza to go and paid 24 dollars for it with tip. I got meatballs, pepperoni and green peppers. Well the green peppers must of been very wet or the meatballs, because when the pizza arrived it was a soup! Literally fully of water and the worst part, aside from the taste of course, was that when I picked up a slice everything slide right off the pizza including the cheese into a wet soupy gop. The worst pizza experience every, and I’m from Boston and know good pizza! Grimaldi’s, never again!

BACON. Easily the 2nd best pizza I have had in Texas(Louie’s in Lower Greenville takes the crown as número uno). With that being said, I was a little skeptical at first. Grimaldi’s sits on a little corner on the outskirts of Uptown – right across the way from Public School On Tap. We can all agree that Uptown Dallas is definitely fu-fu, and I had doubts on whether or not this pace could dish out the perfect pizza pie. Yay, for alliteration. BACON. The wait staff was very attentive and hands on – constantly asking if we needed anything, but not in an annoying way. We had to wait half an hour for the rest of the party to arrive, but that changed our moods when were soon gruntled by the most amiable waitress. BACON. All I really want to talk about is the BACON. I decided on the Build-Your-Own; toppings consisting of chicken sausage, onion, fresh basil and BACON. So the BACON at Grimaldi’s is not your model bacon. I expected to bite into a slice and immediately taste that slightly chewy, saltiness of pig that I have grown to appreciate, but I was wrong. The saltiness was still present, but instead of a crisp, smoky tang, I instantly tasted more of a roasted pork chop flavor – very similar to the consistency of pork belly. DELICIOUSNESS! I did a jocund happy girl dance in my head, and was tempted to ask for a side of this life-altering BACON. That’s how marvelous it was! BACON. If you haven’t already, please make Grimaldi’s a priority. And don’t forget the BACON!

Second Grimaldi’s location I’ve been to, only difference is that I can imagine parking could be a bit difficult. On a Sunday late afternoon, I had to make a few circles around the building to find available street parking. Grimaldi’s was a great place to catch up with a girlfriend and share a delicious Margarita pizza! We just shared a medium and it was enough food. Service was kind of slow and we had a waiter change in between or meal, but no issues really!

We ordered the Brooklyn bridge pizza and Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was excellent and dressing was great. And pizza also was very delicious and big. my younger sister who came from Korea usually doesn’t eat the crust, but she loved the dough here.

Good thin crust pizza. Large servings. Sign up for the e club. You get a free large pizza for your birthday! The Only thing I don’t like is that you have to pay for toppings a la carte if you don’t get the specialty pizzas. The salads are great. My favorite is the Caesar salad. The small portion is enough for two people. The large, four. This Dallas location has great service. Albeit, I did come during the week an hour or so before closing so there wasn’t too many guests so our waitress was pretty attentive.

WOW is the only thing that comes to mind! The best pizza I think I’ve ever had. We got the white margarita pizza and it was so flavorful. The prices aren’t bad and the service was outstanding. Our second pizza took a little long to come out so a manager came over when it was ready and offered to take it off the bill without us even having to say anything. Thats customer service! I can’t wait to try their other locations.

Grimaldi’s is yet another great spot in this neighborhood that’s filled to the brim with good options for food. However, I think it’s a little overrated on Unilocal.Don’t get me wrong, it’s great(I’m still giving it 4 stars after all), but I don’t think it’s in the same tier as an Il Cane Rosso or an Olivella’s. The décor is like a hybrid between a nicer date night spot and a mafia-backed pizza parlor on the streets of NYC, complete with those red and white checkered table cloths. The menu is very simple: it’s pizza. Yes you get options for sauce, toppings, and size, but literally one side of the menu is wine and the other pizza(with a few salad options and a calzone to «balance»). The pizza itself is tasty. The only real problem is some of the greasier or water-filled toppings can cause the delicately thin, supposed to be crispy crust to get a little soggy. If you’ve done the rounds of pizza in Dallas(or if you’ve done a day of shopping in West Village), you won’t regret giving this place a shot.

Our favorite go-to pizza spot! We live in West Village and this is hands down, the best place to go to in the area. Even with a wait, they have a good bar to wait at– I suggest a glass of the educated guess or the petite petite! Amazing! This great part about this place is the food. The over style thin crust pizza is just delicious. We generally start with the house salad(small) which is plenty for 2 – 3! The pizza options are great and recently we got into the calzones(the personal is huge, definitely enough for leftovers). Personally, I love their pepperonis, so cute and small haha. I do wish they had pineapple as a topping, which the waiter suggested to write on a comment card but forgot– whoops! Always good service, food, and a good time.

I love this restaurant! I just wish they had more gluten free options. This restaurant stays decently busy most days of the week. They have a small patio on the side of the restaurant and a few tables set up out front of you bring your pup. They have a huge selection of pizzas. While I can’t eat any of them due to a food allergy they all smell amazing and from what I’m told they taste as good as they look and smell! I ordered the caprese salad with a side of grilled chicken breast. The caprese salad was awesome! Huge slices of tomato and mozzarella with a light drizzle of balsamic glaze and olive oil. Light but so flavorful! The grilled chicken was good for just a plain chicken. It was juicy with a light grill flavor. Service is decent here. The staff is very friendly and pretty quick to refill water and remove plates. Definitely a great place to come get pizza or just grab a glass of wine with friends.
