We are a 2nd generation dental family. This practice has served the Henderson Ave/​Lower Greenville communities since 1988.

Dr. Jeff Nguyen was born in Birmingham, AL and grew up in Dallas where he attended the St. Marks School of Texas for eleven years. He is a second generation dentist. Both of Dr. Nguyen’s parents are dentists in the DFW area, and have been in practice for over 20 years. After graduating from SMU, Dr. Nguyen was inspired by his parents to become a dentist and carry on the family tradition. His younger sister, Jennifer, is also starting dental school this Fall 2011 at USC.

Upon completing his dental education at USC, Dr. Nguyen returned home to his family and married his wife, Caroline. He is licensed in the state of Texas

I went in for my annual checkup and couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. My appointment started on time and the office was very clean and bright. They even had Netflix for their patients to watch during the procedure! Dr. Nguyen was more than friendly, efficient, professional, and continuously making sure I was comfortable and knew what was going on. She didn’t shame me even though I hadn’t been to the dentist in 2 years and don’t regularly floss. She just advised me of the benefits of flossing and said she was happy I had found a dentist and hoped to see me in 6 months. The results were great and she made sure I both saw pictures and understood what was going on with my teeth and gums. The cleaning was through and done with great care. I’m very happy to have found my regular dentist!

I arrived right at my appointment time, and after filling out some additional information, I was seen within 15 minutes of my arrival. My teeth were thoroughly clean by Mrs. Nguyen, and I was seen after by her husband, Dr. Nguyen. They both were really pleasant and nice. All work done was billed to my insurance, and they made sure to discuss what would be covered before doing any procedures. As an added bonus, they also have TVs in all of the exam rooms so you can watch Netflix while you’re at your appointment! Dr. Nguyen will definitely be my dentist as long as I’m living in Dallas!

Great dentist! I’m a little nervous when sitting in a dentist chair and Dr. Nguyen took his time to explain everything which was great in calming me down. I came in with a cracked tooth and was out in no time. I would highly recommend Dr. Nguyen to anyone.

I’m one of those terrified of the dentist people. This was, by far, the most pleasant dental experience I’ve ever had. The staff is very friendly and personable. Dr. Nguyen is patient and confident and I felt I could trust him from the minute I met him. The office is in a quaint little building That used to be a house and made the whole experience even that much more calming. I spent a lot of time researching dentists before I chose him and I could not be happier with my decision. My mouth is already in much better health.

I’ve been to many many dentists over the years as I’ve moved cities every year or so. Think this one has been the best. I’ve had other dentists who were also very nice and had fancy machines but I feel like Dr. Nguyen was the most thorough and meticulous. I actually went to another dentist first and got a ridiculous quote so went to Dr. Nguyen for a 2nd opinion since the other dentist seemed insincere and was recommending I get 9 or so crowns where I had cavities. Apart from root canals I’ve had in the past, this was the most heavy duty dentistry I had to get done in years and I’m glad I chose this doc.
After three visits I had all my cavities filled and did not have to get crowns. He explained to me I may need to get some in the future but don’t need it yet.
I also recommend Dr. Nguyen to those who aren’t comfortable with dental procedures. I’m a big wuss when it comes to shots and drills but felt he and his assistant did a really good job in making me feel comfortable and asked me repeatedly if I was doing ok.

I would without question recommend Henderson Family Dental. My 17 year old son who does not like dentists, is willing to go back without question. He had a great experience and found the staff friendly and helpful. The only downside was a 9am apt turned into 10:15am. Would have liked to have been seen sooner. I will recommend everyone looking.

I’m a big fan of Dr. Nguyen has been amazing with me. I came to him for the first time several months ago in search of a good dentist that would spend time cleaning my sensitive teeth and give me recommendations for care. He made sure to answer all of my questions, and got me set up a on plan that was within my insurance limits and still majorly helped with the issues I was having. I staff is also very professional and I never had a problem with scheduling. I don’t think I’ll go to another dentist as long as I’m in Dallas. Based on knowledge of his field, professionalism, courtesy, and compassion, Dr. Nguyen is the best dentist that I’ve been to.

Dr. Nguyen was very professional. He took his time and explaned everything to where I could understand it. I hate getting my teeth clean due to the discomfort, but he was very gentle and I could tell the difference right away! I also liked how his appliances/​dental equipment was up to date with modern technology. He is highly recommended!

Ok, I admit it, I hate going to the dentist. Aside from the drilling and scraping that goes on in your mouth, it’s so darn hard to get an appointment sometimes. Us 9−5ers have to take off early on weekdays to fit an appointment in. No worries here, HFD is open a couple of Saturdays a month and you can use ZocDoc to make appointments online.
Dr. Nguyen and his staff are very nice and professional. The cleaning is usually my least favorite part, but his hygienist, Caroline, was very gentle and took the time to explain what exactly she was doing to my teeth. Dr. Nguyen took pictures of my teeth and showed me on the TV screen how my teeth were doing. I didn’t have to worry about insurance as his staff took care of everything for me. Unfortunately I have to go back to have some fillings fixed but I’m sure Dr. Nguyen will make it as painless as possible.

I was having trouble finding a dentist after my old one was no longer in network on my insurance, so I did a little research and found Dr. Nguyen. Because it’s close to where I live, I was loving the convenience. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised with the office-​a very modern and relaxed environment. Like someone else already mentioned, he does not try to upsell products or toothbrushes, etc. He was very thorough with his explanation of his findings and treatment plan/​suggestions. I love the fact that he shows you exactly what he’s talking about, so that there is no confusion. I have already recommended him and will continue to do so to anyone who is in need of a new dentist!

Everyone in the office; Professional! Thorough! Friendly! Very helpful with insurance questions (takes Metlife). Beautiful, clean, offices. Up to date equipment and training. Explained everything in detail with pictures of my teeth on a large screen TV. Gave me options then left it up to me as to how to proceed with no pressure to do it their way.

I recently switched to Dr. Jeff Nguyen and have been very pleased. His attention to detail shows in the excellent quality in his work. I had all of my amalgam fillings replaced (they were leaking) and fixed all my cavities. I want to point out that Dr. Jeff does not try to up-​sell anything and everything to you, which I admire. In fact, he will avoid the procedure if unnecessary. The before and after walk-​throughs are also comforting. I once had a painful tooth (which my former dentist worked on), and Dr. Jeff made himself available to help alleviate the pain. He also follows-​up and checks on you to make sure everything has gone well. My former dentist was only 15 minutes away, but I now willingly drive 45 minutes (each way) to Henderson Family Dental. Highly recommended! A+

Last week I had bit into something hard, to my astonishment my filling had broken off. I called a friend who does Dental consulting and she gave me Dr. Nguyen’s name. I went to my appointment and found a really nice, clean office with all up to date technologies. Great flat screens in the dental bays that when they took my xrays I was able to see them automatically… impressive! Then Dr. N came into the room and explained that I did have a few cavities and that he would fix my filling that day. He explained my options and how we could do my fillings in stages if I preferred but since I was already there I chose to get them all done. He was super friendly, and very easy going. Not pushy or trying to add more to my treatment which is very important. I have been in the dental industry for 10 years now and it doesn’t matter how much you work in the dental world nobody likes to get a shot, but I will tell you with full confidence that he did an amazing job working on me. He an his assistant worked together seamlessly which made me extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend ANYONE to go to Dr. Nguyen he did a great job.

I was in Dallas on vacation and found myself having sensitivity in my teeth. I was referred to Dr. Jeff and his wife and hygienist, Caroline, by a friend and couldn’t be more pleased with their work. Caroline did an incredible cleaning and enthusiastically demonstrated better flossing technique and oral hygiene habits. Dr. Jeff found _​_​_​cavities, the number of which I am ashamed to share here, but handled them all painlessly and with a great deal of patience. I would definitely come back if I’m in town again!
