I have really enjoyed eating here since they opened last year. High quality dogs and great service. Try the Texas Tommy Dog & an order of their epic onion rings… Sooooo Good! — Hopkins

A little weary at first, it was 130 in the afternoon and we were the only ones in the place. Ordered the blta dog with fries. AMAZING. So fresh and delicious, best dog I’ve eaten since Chicago. The fries are made in house and they are great. They weren’t greasy or over seasoned. Staff was awesome and walked us through the whole menu. Will definitely be going back. My 6 year old loved her corn dog. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu.

My first gourmet hot experience! Worth it! I ordered a Texas Tommy Dog with a side of sweet potato fries. DELICIOS! What really set off my fries… when I got curious about the sauce on my mother in laws burger(The Jerry’s Original), it’s Thousand Island dressing! Man oh man! So much better than katsup! I can’t wait to come back!

Would loved to try a dog. Walked in and the only two people in the place were myself and the guy behind the counter. He never looked up from his phone. Went elsewhere.

Can’t vouch for the dogs, but the burger is TERrible. Cooked like a Burger King burger, but burned on one end and pink on the other. Fries are so doused in spice mix they’re choke-inducing.

Ordered the bavarian with sour crout. Great dog, althought a little light on the crout.

I was surprised to see this place not too far from me, so I tried it out on my way home. The tator tots were great(and much bigger than I was expecting!), although the mac and cheese hot dog wasn’t anything special. Next time I’m running around Lakewood, I’ll be sure to try a different hot dog and pick up some more tator tots!

Had ‘The Dog father sausage’. The sausage was seasoned well and juicy and the bread was nice and soft. The toppings of grilled tomatoes, onions, and peppers was tasty. The only bad thing about the meal was the very salty tater tots! They over seasoned them! Would eat here again.

Food — 3 Service — 4 Value — 3 We were hoping for some good hot dogs and burgers here, but came away thinking it was«just ok». On the positive side, the chili dog my wife ordered was not too salty, but we found the dog lacked«snap» and the wheat bun we wanted it on was dry. My Teriyaki Swiss Mushroom burger on a wheat bun also had a dry wheat bun so maybe that’s just how they do their wheat buns. The fries and tots were also«just ok» — nothing really special about either of them for us. Our search for the best burger and dog in the DFW area continues.

Let me start by saying I constantly check reviews for all types of things and rarely post myself. After tonight’s experience, I felt like I should warn future customers. Having recently moved to Dallas, I use Unilocal!as a reliable source for restaurants. After reading about Jerry’s, my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. As soon as we walked through the door I should have known it wasn’t going to be what we expected. The place was empty and the employees behind the counter just looked at us, let alone greet us. We ordered a corn dog and a philly style hot dog. The person taking our order acted like it was a hassle to help us. We sat down, where they had complimentary peanuts, which they shouldn’t even bother with because they were garbage. After 10+ minutes our order still wasn’t ready. How long can it take to grill a hot dog? Finally an employee starts yelling out a number, which we weren’t given but I assumed this was our order. Went up to the counter and of course there was no corn dog. I let him know and he reluctantly started cooking one. The hot dog we did get was a joke. I could have got a better quality dog at 7 – 11. It was tiny and dried out. They just pile on the toppings to disguise it. After another 10+ minutes of waiting, I went back up to the counter where I was asked«what do you want?» I asked about the missing corn dog and the employee forgot it was cooking and burnt it. So they said give them 2 minutes and they would bring it out. When I went back to the table I told my girlfriend when they bring it out I’d be willing to bet it was going to be cold in the middle because they were trying to rush it and sure enough it was damn near frozen in the center. This is a long winded review to say… STAYAWAY!!! Horrible customer service and worse food. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but here.

It’s not just a hot dog that you would make at home. They have numerous toppings on different type of hot dogs. They also have burgers and brats to choose from. Have had both the tater tots and onion rings and loved them both. It is easier to park and enter from the back.

I ordered the Chicago dog and fries with a dipping sauce. First off, the fries and garlic Parmesan sauce were awesome. Not frozen fries but hand cut, and that sauce really rocked it. The dog — men, the bun /dog ratio was off. Way too much bun going on there. But I’ve wanted to try them, now I have, and it was not the come to Jesus experience I was hoping for. But lately, it never is…

Very good hot dogs here. The flavor is definitely distinct due to the wood cooking. I tried the Tommy and Chicago, both good. I got the big size which meant quarter pounders. That translated to length not girth which I didn’t care for… I’d rather have both. I don’t like the dog falling out of the bun! Speaking of buns, these were akin to hoagies and not buns… or so it seemed for the Tommy. I like the opening top side so I can see everything I’m getting easily before I eat it. Service was great BTW. Nice guys. Flavor is right, just need a few tweaks here and there and I’d say it could easily be a 5

This All-American casual eatery is full of delicious items that aren’t particularly good for your waistline, but hella good for your taste buds! Although they are known for their dogs, they have got killer burgers as well. Check out their menu– they’ve got veggie dogs, vegan dogs, sausages, chicken sandwiches and multiple styles of burgers with the works on fixings! The reason their food is so good is because everything is made fresh… and on their wood-fired grilled which really steps up the flavor factor. … Add a side of sweet potato fries and some great service and there’s a solid recipe for a hearty, comforting lunch!

being greeted upon arrival is always a great start, very clean and a open kitchen we like, so a concept of whose doing what to your food is a must these days. My meal was cooked on the spot, so everything was very fresh. Lots to choose from on the menu, it’s worth a study before you hold up the line trying to read though everything standing there at the counter. They have TV’s to watch sports or whatever while eating and music in the background. I enjoyed the meal and environment, surely will be back when in the area for a quick calorie filled bite. I recommend it!

Jerry’s got a huge wiener and 7 Oz of [occasionally] delicious juicy patty. What’s not to like? Well, for me it was the wiener. I like big wiener’s, especially if they have decent girth, flavor and are juicy. Wiener’s here are flame grilled, The end product is a dry withered up wiener. Their version of a Chicago Dog is murderous. Seriously! Nothing, except the mustard and sports peppers, is representative of a Chicago Dog. I really wish that places like this that have a «Chicago Dog» on their menu would do their home work. Shheeesh! My first burger experience was pretty dang good. They are another place that chops the lettuce and dices the onions. However, if you ask for leaf and slice they will accommodate. The first patty I got here was a 7oz juicy, tasty, delicious burger. It was spot on. Next time I came it was over cooked. I frown on inconsistencies. Friendly staff. Small selection of beers. They have lots of FREE toppings. Speak up! They’re gonna hook you up. MEH for real.

I should have gone dog-only. Dog plus fries is just too much food. I chowed down on those fries though. They were hot and fresh and just right! I was hoping that the crispy onions on the dog I ordered would be like thin onion rings. It was more like those French’s fried onion things that people put on those weird onion casseroles during the holidays. I scraped them off. They have like a million toppings for your dog, if you’re into that.

Let’s start with the good. They have a ton of toppings most of which are complementary. Two of these dogs are plenty for most people. They have a whole slew of «specialty» dogs which come with all sorts of tasty toppings. I had the Chicago and LA dogs, of which I liked the Chicago one better. They grill the dogs to order so it does take about 10 minutes even when they’re not busy, which is fine since I prefer the food fresh. Now to dispense with the bad. The guy grilling my dog and toppings grabbed the outside of a garbage bin with his gloves and didn’t change them right before grabbing my bun and hot dog with them. Nasty. Honestly, the only reason I’m not giving them a lower rating is that I assume that this type of unsanitary behavior happens are a lot of «fast food» places so it’s not entirely unexpected, as sad as that is.

Best hot dog place I been to in Dallas. It’s been a long time since I actually found a place this good is Dallas. Menu selection is good. All their hot dogs sound and look good. So far I only have had the L. A Dog with jalapeño ranch with chili cheese fries. They have the coke machine where you can mix your drinks such as cherry or orange sprite and other flavors. I do plan to go back and try the hamburgers and the other hot dogs. I will be driving 15+ miles to go back their.
