Jim Lee Events & The Starlight Room

Went out of business. I’m out $ 9,000 (¹⁄₃ of my wedding budget). Haven’t received a refund yet AND I have to find a pay for a new caterer. So my wedding budget has essentially doubled. I’m essentially having to pay over $ 20,000 just for food thanks to this company.

DO NOT USE, they have started a new company in another country have left their clients, vendors AND employees high and dry here in the US! Do not fall for their «money saving» tactics of paying up front, they are in over their heads and can’t afford to pay everyone they owe. It’s sad because I think some of their employees are being taken advantage of as well… I was fortunate enough for some reason to be paid my refund but I’m writing this on behalf of so many people I work with being owed money by this company… :(

DO NOT USE!!! There should be a no star option! Friend is having a wedding at end of the month. His mom booked these folks for the rehearsal dinner. After not hearing anything turns out these clowns left the country and his family is out 15 large. Do not use these scum bags. It is currently June 10^th 2015 and his mother had a previous working relationship with these frauds by using them for her business events. Needless to say they are worthless rats.

If I could, I would give them a no star review. I am still waiting for my refund. I was contacted through Unilocal messages by another person who was owed money by them but for some reason, Jim Lee Events provided them a refund. Please pay attention to the dates on the reviews! He is definitely experiencing monetary issues and cannot pay his debts. Its now June and still no money!

I used Jim Lee for my Wedding on ⁴⁄₂₆. I planned so far in advance I kept having to reconfirm certain details with Sean. I was sure he was sick of me and ready for my Wedding to be over, but he was always very nice and professional.
The food and set up was perfect! I kept thinking they were giving me better stuff than what was on my origional menu. LOL
Acutally, one item was upgraded. I ordered a pretzel bite, but was told they ended up being over cooked so they gave me this delisious chicken wonton instead. It was better than the pretzel!
This was my first time ever to use a caterer and I almost wish I had another event so I could use Jim Lee Events again. It was that good.
The staff made sure me and my husband had a nice plate of food and acutally ate! They did not provide my cake, but they DID bring a cake cutter and server! Thank Goodness because I forgot to bring mine.
The staff worked hard and made it even more wonderful than I expected. The food was beyond my expectations and my guests have been raving about it since.
I highly recommend Jim Lee Events.

I discovered Jim Lee a couple years ago while planning an open house event for our new office space. I talked with various caterers and event planners before making the choice, and can not say enough what a great decision I made.
If you want a first class event, call Jim Lee. Our open house was a breeze to plan with them, their ideas and creativity are matchless. They were careful to stay within budget, but worked hard to make our event look like money was no object. All our clients and guests (over 200!) were impressed, and we have used them for everything from a simple networking breakfast to an after hours cocktail party ever since. The actual look and feel of the events is amazing, but even better than that is the customer service and attentiveness you get from everyone on staff.
In addition to the events they’ve done for me, I’ve attended events where they’ve been hired by social and charity organizations, and they never disappoint. Class all the way!
Definitely give them a call, whether it’s a corporate event or a fancy affaire… I think they also have a space available to rent out if you don’t have a place in mind already. Be sure to invite me to the party! :)
