Everything I’ve ever ordered from this joint has been delicious. The nice staff that deliver each order are always cordial & friendly. Every once in a while«Mr. Potato Head» is a bit of a smartass but who doesn’t like a good laugh from time to time. «Cowboy Jimmy» delivers an excellent attitude w/every order – even when the customer cheaps-out on the tip(basterds). «The Humanitarian Effort» is always hooking me up w/extra pepperchini’s so I don’t know what all these Canadians are crying about. They take care of me so I take care of them. I’ve never waited longer that 25 mins for my delivery because of that care. That’s the power of over-tipping.

I called and ordered a large Pepperoni with EXTRA peppercini’s and the guy said the delivery would be 45 minutes max. An hour later, I called asking where the order was and a lady answered saying the delivery guy had left 20 minutes ago with my pizza and had one stop before my place to deliver the pizza. It took another 10 minutes before the pizza arrived, which means the pizza was already in the delivery car for a minimum of 30 minutes, and it could have very well been longer. When the pizza arrived, it was cold, the pizza crust was soggy, and there were only 3 peppercini’s. We called to say how cold the pizza was and instead of them showing any compassion, the manager named Rob instead said he would never deliver to my home again because the pizza was hot and he knew it. The customer service was absolutely horrible and unaccepting. I order at least one pizza a week from here and all of the workers know me. It’s a terrible shame that me calling to say my pizza was cold resulted in me being told I would no longer receive their services or another pizza from them. This place clearly does not value customer loyalty and their just in this for a quick buck because they raised their prices about a year ago and it still didn’t stop me from ordering here. I’ll miss Eddie and all the rest of the workers, but tonight they showed their unprofessionalism towards my complaint and the disrespect will not get my service here again!

I love LA Gourmet! I just will NEVER order delivery from them again. It took 45 minutes to deliver one medium pizza two blocks away at 2:30 in the afternoon(aka off-peak hours). When the driver arrived –wearing a cutoff t-shirt in January he acted totally normal like I was crazy for thinking it shouldn’t take that long.

This place is awesome. The pizza is delicious and their baked ziti was really good as well. Their cheesecake was outstanding. It was delivered in a timely manner too :) I know this place is really popular since it’s open until after the bars on McKinney. I will be stopping in again :)

Called in to give directions on where to deliver into our building the quickest and fastest. Was told they would tell the driver. The driver calls me and I explain the directions and give cross streets. He was very nice over the phone, so I tried to make things easier by even meeting him out on the cross streets I mentioned. He had trouble so I had to run down to meet him at another cross street opposite of where I was at. I understand my tip was low for how much of a hassle the delivery was. For particular circumstances I was unable to provide tip, but did out of my own pocket. I understand it was a crappy tip. BUT the driver texting me PERSONALLY complaining about it was very unprofessional. Not only did it make me feel worse but a bit angry of the unprofessionalism.

Overpriced, mediocre pizza that stays in business primairly due to the ridiculously high volume it enjoys every weekend night, with lines easily out to the parking lot.

Don’t know about the pizza and I never will. Their delivery driver with the white car is a rude, obnoxious brain dead moron. Drove into the lot from the wrong way, cut me off to get a spot and then when I told him what I thought of his behavior, started giving me a hard time. Listen, you moron, don’t drive a car with an LA Gourmet pizza sign on it and expect people to let it slide. Next time you’re going to drive like an inconsiderate idiot take the sign off first.

The toppings are great, the olives don’t have spunk. I ordered they have two veggie pizzas and I combined them both. Too muck cheese. Order pizza with light cheese or extra crispy. You should be very detailed with your pizza request because the workers there seem to be very clueless but then again they’re not paid to be chefs. Place has potential no doubt, but my first time experience here was bad. One of the guys gave me free ranch but the ranch isn’t really ranch… It’s bad imitated stuff. umm. I Fratelli Pizza isn’t my idea of a omega but it is better than LA& less in prices. 17 $ for a small. 8 $ for a small at I Fratelli

Apparently you can’t trust the restaurant to uphold what the Unilocal page says. You cannot place orders through Unilocal, despite what the website/app says. Spoke with the manager, Robert, was so completely rude, absolutely had no consideration for the fact id placed an order that I believed to be valid(placed through Unilocal and received an email confirmation). Answered the phone«LAGOURMET, WEARECLOSED». This was one of my favorite pizza restaurants in the Area and I am completely done with them. Do not order from here.

LAGOURMET we meet again! I knew I had to be back and get some Malibu Barbie. Honestly, the fact that this bad boy comes out 15 minutes later boiling hot and burns your tongue because you’re so excited, impresses him. They make it fresh and it’s so tasty. Honestly, definitely better after some drinking but still love!

I own a business right across from the pizzeria. So this is a place I order or(used to order) from very frequently. Today to my surprise after 20 mins of waiting I picked up the pizza, brought it across the street and surprisingly on my first bite found a long dark hair in my pizza. To clarify it wasn’t on top of my pizza it was baked inside. I took it back and the employees didn’t look surprised at all. Almost like«what is the big deal if it has hair inside». Hmm. I had to ask for a refund to get my money back. When you order over the phone, they pick up with a New York pizzeria attitude. That’s all fine and good but being a New Yorker for about 26 years, I can handle the attitude but not the hair on my pizza. Ended up going to Chipotle next door.

Gourmet pizza prices at store bought quality. We got the«large» and it would be a small at most other places. I’ve literally never had pizza crust that was so underwhelming. I got the margarita pizza, and I’ve never had a margarita pizza with so few toppings. It was basically terrible crust and pizza sauce. I’m sad about hating this place because it is so convenient to my apartment, but I think I’ll go a bit further and hit up the better pizza joints— or, if I want bad pizza, I’ll go to Wal Mart or Little Ceasar’s. I think their pizza is probably better.

Their pizza is great– best when fresh and their delivery is pretty slow. So when my pizza arrived it was slightly warm. I actually had to microwave it. And the bruschetta was a little soggy. But that’s kinda the price we pay for being lazy and ordering delivery lol. The ppl that work there are always super friendly and polite. I went in one evening right at 10:30(their closing time) and they were still very happy to serve me, for take out of course :)

Yummy. Delivery is a bit slow and pizza isn’t always warm. But, I go sometimes for lunch. Great lunch specials and everything I’ve had is delish. My fav is the margherita pizza with extra aioli sauce! Fresh mozzarella balls. Mmmm. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it! Delivery is still slow. Pizza is always cold. And I had a free pizza just now from a screw up last time. It’s again cold. And they still charged me a $ 2.00 delivery fee when they are the ones that messed it up in the first place.

EXCELLENTPIZZA! Just had the Greek pizza with lamb gyro meat and it was amazing! Perfect thin, crisp crust and just the right amount of toppings although I did add some of the free roasted garlic they offer. When I don’t have to ask for extra anything on my pizza it means someone got the toppings juuuust right! So good, def try it!

Whats going on? How did we end up here? LA Gourmet Pizza is conveniently on McKinney Ave in the heart of Uptown, so after a night of drunken fun, you can stumble over and enjoy some pizza. However, I was sober when I came here late at night so my review won’t have that drunken bias factor. The pizza was good but unspectacular. It’s 4 dollars if you buy by the slice, and some slices are definitely bigger than others. There were only 4 options if you buy by the slice, and I ended up getting the pepperoni. It was OK, but I was sad that there was no sausage option. A couple of my friends bought a sausage pizza. It comes piping hot and the sausage was pretty good on it. However, the crust is extremely thin if you by an entire pizza. Like… anorexic this is abnormal thin. The place is pretty expensive but for convenience and taste, it does the job.

Is there anything better than going to LA Gourmet after a night out on the town? If there is, please let me know what it is. First off, any pizza joint will do well when its clientale is inebriated and hungry at 2AM. However, LA Gourmet is good while you’re sober too! The true test for good pizza IMHO. As you get to the counter, there are plenty of pizzas to pick from for a slice. If you want to be the hero for your group, you can tell them to box one of them up for you, and you will be forever loved by your group members. Don’t make a rookie mistake though, and ask for extra aioli(more on this later) Of the already made pizzas, my favorites are bbq chicken, chicken pesto, and pepperoni. Each one is delicious in its own right, but they all have very different flavor profiles. The bbq chicken uses bbq sauce in place of marinara, so it has a little more tang. The chicken pesto uses(you guessed it) pesto sauce and also has tomotoes on it. The pepperoni is your standard pepperoni. Essential to good pizza, the dough is made fresh so the crust has a good flavor. Okay, now for the kicker(sorry for taking your line Guy Fieri). The aioli is the bomb. When I first started going here, I referred to it as ranch, even though it didn’t quite taste like ranch to me. Then somone behind the counter called it aioli, but it doesn’t quite taste like aioli to me either. Let’s just call it ranch flavored aioli. This little dipping delight takes what is already a good pizza, and makes it great pizza. Do yourself a favor. The next time you’re out with your friends in uptown, stop that hangover right in its track, and conclude the night with a stop at LA Gourmet.
