LB Houston Park

I am very disappoints in their customer service and lack of communication. Showed up for an «open drill» after I called and when I got there they told me there was a cut off number. No one told me or communicated with me on phone when I called and when I go there I was told that they did not expect 16 people to show so they had to make a limit of 16. So I’m assuming they just made that up. It will be a very long time and maybe never that I will take another drill at LB Houston…

I work next to here and thought it was a «membership only» thing. I see people golfing all time as I drive by. Turns out, it’s a park, sorta. It’s a huge place nice and clean. Just not sure what this is. Golf, tennis court & park trail all together? Im confused…

I used the tennis facilities here are they are not bad. The place is a bit old and there are many stairs leading up to the pro shop/​check-​in area. Once through to the back where the courts are, you head back downhill to the courts themselves. There are 16 courts total.
The area is surrounded by woods so it is nice and quiet. The courts are blue and in decent shape and there are lots of grassy areas for spectators and shade. The parking lot is small and we witnessed many people parking on the lawn due to both lack of space and shade.

This is a great trail to take your bike. I have visited this trail many times, the trail connects to other trails and if you keep going you will get a great work out. Additionally, if you follow to the end of the trail then you will reach downtown Las Colinas. Pretty awesome and clean.

The weather is warming up and LB Houston Park is the perfect place to get some fresh air and exercise. It’s huge, clean, has great facilities, and has a ton of workout options. Hiking/​biking trails, tennis courts, benches and wide open green spaces.
We found ourselves here while in search of the best tennis courts in the area. Unilocal reviews led us here and we were not disappointed. A sweet older couple welcomed us on this early Sunday evening. For around $ 3/​person we gained an hour and a half access to a beautiful reserved tennis court. Freshly painted, dry (despite the rain drizzle earlier in the morning) and just overall well kept facility. The bathrooms are indoor and immaculate (a convenient relief you don’t usually find at other parks), and there’s a shop in the office that has just about everything: demo-​raquets for rental or purchase, tennis attire; snacks & refreshments; accessories; you name it! They will even restring your raquet right there!
Sure, there are many free courts in Dallas, but this one is worth the (very small) fee. It’s safe, clean, and top-​notch. Will certainly be our court of choice. One small tip: reserve your court to be on the safe side. They have over 20 courts, but you never know how busy it can get on the weekends/​evenings.

A small park with some nice trails for bike riding and walking. They also have a few tennis courts. A good place to do some exercising.

There are several parts of LB Houston Park, and I’m sure that some of them are fine. However, both times that we walked the nature trail off of Wildwood Road, we ran into questionable (sex in the bushes) and criminal (drug transactions) activities. This part of the park is not policed in any way and I don’t recommend going here.

A great quiet park with lots of trails for trail bikes (non motorized) & walking the dogs and in the middle of a big city !

With spring right around the corner, I’ve been thinking about the places I want to hit up when the weather gets really nice. One of my favorite places for mountain bike riding is LB Houston park. With nearly 6 miles of off-​road trails, you can get lost underneath the canopy of some of the biggest trees in Dallas. If you’re looking to escape the city within the city then I highly recommend walking or biking some of the trails at LB Houston.
The trails offer easy to difficult riding, but all trails are very well marked so you don’t have to worry about getting in a pickle. Being from Austin, this place is just what I need to remind me of the outdoors and a relatively central location that’s easy to find.
There is also LB Houston golf course (which I haven’t played) and a Tennis Club (never been) at this park location, and both offer lessons, etc. The prize of LB Houston are the trails, though, which are very well maintained.
