Dr. Basilico had been my doctor for 15 years, I have found him to be one of the most knowledgable doctors I have had the experience to work with. He has never let me down and has turned out to be more accurate in his diagnosis of health issues than other specialist I have consulted over the years. He truly cares about you and he has always available when I have needed him. You could not find a better Doctor. I split time in California and Texas but will always return to him for any care I need.

I found Dr. Basilico by chance, he was one of the closest doctors to where I lived at the time and was covered by my health care provider, so the initial choice was based on convenience. I’m not someone who goes to the doctor often, so when I do I usually have a list of things to discuss despite the fact that I am pretty healthy. On my first visit I had more face time than I was used to getting from a doctor. My whole life, it was long wait in the waiting room, followed by a long wait in the examination room, followed by less than 5 minutes of attention(which you were lucky to get if you were in really bad shape). I felt like Dr. Basilico was willing to listen to what I had to say because his office did not seem to be particularly busy at the time. After a few years I have come to learn that this is just the way he is. He will sit and listen as long as you are willing to talk. Not just about medical issues, about life in general and anything else you want to talk about(don’t take advantage of this). It isn’t uncommon to get a half hour to an hour of his time. Like I mentioned earlier, I do not get to the doctor often but when I have gone for physicals or other issues it has been extremely easy to schedule(Saturday appointments are usually easy to get). I’m not sure if his dedication comes more from his experience with medical care in a different culture(he was a doctor in Argentina before he came here and after he moved he had to go back to school again just to get the same status he had in his native country) or if he is just someone who really cares about his patients. Probably both. In any case, the man works ridiculous hours and he gives more attention to his patients(many of whom are not affluent) than several wealthy people I know get from their private plans that are way too expensive for the general public(and who are usually complaining about how their doctors barely spend any time with them).
