At Lifeworks Recovery each counselor works with you and your family on a one-​on-​one basis to help you understand and uncover the reasons for your addiction, and the harm addiction has created. Lifeworks Recovery is a professional counseling practice and outpatient center located in Dallas, TX, that provides individual, marriage/​couple, and family therapy, in addition to group counseling services. We offer treatment for issues of depression, addiction, eating disorders, trauma/​PTSD, co-​addiction, codependency, life changes issues, infidelity, love addiction, money, pornography/​internet addiction, wealth in families, betrayal, substance abuse, self-​esteem, and other life issues. We emphasize healing for the entire family system. It isn’t just the addict, alcoholic or drug addict that is affected and needs help. The spouses and children of the addict are naturally and deeply affected. They often experience trauma, betrayal, abandonment, and abuse. It is common for family members to feel alone and neglected as the addict gets help. Lifeworks Recovery’s counselors are trained to understand the partners and children’s needs, and to identify and treat coexisting issues of trauma and neglect.
