This used to be a great barber shop. Lately not so much. I walked in one Saturday and I wasn’t even sure I was in the right neighborhood let alone the right shop. I felt like I was deep in the ghetto, not in the middle of the Park Cities. I came in Friday and it hadn’t changed, unfortunately. I hate to let this one go, but sadly, my barber shop is just not the same. The trash talk and cursing is just too much. It’s offensive and uncomfortable. I’m surprised the owner allows this kind of behavior. So sad this neighborhood staple has turned out like this and from talking to others, I’m not alone in these thoughts. I just want my barber shop back! I guess it’s not meant to be and that’s too bad.

Great haircut for a great price. Very friendly barbers and the guy who cut my hair was able to figure out all the random nuances about my oddly shaped head and hair patterns within a minute. Great cut, great price, great experience.

Chris has been my barber for years now and I highly recommend him. I always get the same fade and my haircut is easy but for some reason he always does it perfect, wich other barbers ive tried have a hard time doing

To be honest, I initially only came in here because a friend of mine got a chair at the shop. Since then I’ve come to know some of the other staff and they are super sweet. While Chris worked his magic on my boys(I love his precision and super clean edges), one of the manicurist(kay Kay) was kind enough to paint my daughters nails while we waited. I love the small town family feel of the place.

Where else can you go to get a manicure that lasts for weeks and a pedicure that lasts for a month? All 4 ladies in the back– Melissa, KK, Kathy and Rodicka do their best to fit a last minute client in, as well as stay busy all day. Fun relaxed atmosphere too. Great gossip and lots of laughs! They have great jewelry to look at in the back too… great prices! Joseph, the barber, is my kids choice for getting a good haircut. He is very patient with them and doesnt cut their hair too short – a problem sometimes at other places. i would highly recommend this business :)

The only place in town where you can get a great mani/pedi and find out where to buy the yoga pants your daughter-in-law wants for her birthday, a rec on a new sushi restaurant, or dating advice. Best ever! Call for an appointment today!

Been going here for about a year now. Ivan does a great shave. Old school straight razor… This is a real barber shop. If you want a great straight razor shave and haircut there is no place better in Dallas.

Lovers Lane Barbershop is an institution. From the barbers in the front area to the manicurists in the back. «Red» and Flo Mickulec owned and ran the shop for years and now their daughter«KK» and fellow manicurist Melissa run the shop, many children have received their first hair cut and manicure here. Old fashioned barbers who KNOW how to cut hair. I even know a family from Kaufman that drives all the way into Dallas to visit LLBS monthly. The backroom is where the nail area is located, there are now 3 manicurists, KK, Melissa, and Rodica. You can walk in for haircuts but make sure to call for nail appointments, they can be hard to get, sometimes you can get lucky. Also parking can be a hassle so plan to arrive early for your appointment in case you have to circle for a spot.

This is a jewel in Dallas. It is a step back in time. You walk into a barber shop where clients have been getting their hair cut for 50 years to get to the nail shop. This is not a spa by name but by action. Everyone knows your name, asks about your family, shares your joys and your tears as you share theirs. There is little turnover in staff. You get great manicures and pedicures and the extras are the feeling of community spirit. I have been going there for 14+ years and I am picky about cleanliness. I know lots of men(many were boys when they first went there) that get their hair cut there and i did have a period of time that for medical reasons I was unable to wash my hair and I would pop in and get my hair washed and dried.
