Marquis at Turtle Creek

Would highly recommend. My wife and I have lived here for less than six months, however, our experience thus far has been fantastic. Our apartment is newly renovated; there is a small, private puppy park for our dogs; the pool is very private and quiet and overall the apartment complex has a secluded and classy feel to it. The staff is always kind and quick to resolve any issues that come up in individual apartments or in the complex as a whole. In addition to the apartment complex amenities, the property is located near all of the restaurants and bars on Oak Lawn, Cedar Springs and Lemmon Avenue, as well as being a short trip to Uptown! Despite it’s proximity to all of these attractions, it still manages to have a small neighborhood feel to it.

I was living here for a year when my lease came up for renewal. It was at this time I learned that all of the units were undergoing a renovation. I was already very happy with my apartment, but chose to move to a renovated unit on the first floor with walk-​out access to the pool (easiest move of my life). I could not be more thrilled. It has beautiful hard-​wood floors, granite countertops and stainless-​steel appliances.
I also love the charm and character of the building. A lot of the newer apartment buildings in Dallas all look the same to me, but the Marquis at Turtle Creek has a timeless European architecture. Even more, they are constantly performing some sort of upgrade to the building. When I first moved in a year ago, they had just remodeled the lobby and hallways. Then, they got all new furniture at the pool and repainted the exterior. After that, they redid the landscaping out front and are planning to put in a new front door. Now, they just added an outdoor kitchen area at the pool and built a sun deck to cover the pool equipment (formerly a bit of an eye-​sore). The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the elevators. They could use a facelift, but I am told that is in the works.
I would also like to add that the location could not be more ideal. It is tucked away in the Turtle Creek neighborhood, so it is nice and quiet, but it is also walking distance to the West Village, the Katy Trail, and Oak Lawn. I actually walk to work every day, bike to the gym and seldom have to use my car.
Next, the residents are super friendly. They range from young professionals to retirement age, but all are courteous and nice. I play the piano, and when I moved in was sure to write a note to my immediate neighbors with my phone number in case it ever became bothersome. One of them wrote back with a thank you note and a bottle of wine! Everyone else I have met in passing and they have all said that they could not even hear it unless they were in the hallway.
Lastly, the service is outstanding. Maintenance requests are always fulfilled promptly. They even went as far as to install a wifi thermostat that I purchased along with some light switches/​dimmers without hesitation. And the leasing staff could not be friendlier and more accommodating. Lauren is exceedingly nice and always very helpful. Nikki is the community director and could not be more patient and professional. When I was trying to decide whether to move to a different unit or stay in my old one, she answered all of my questions (there were many) and showed me every other unit available multiple times before I made up my mind. She is simply amazing at her job and will do everything in her power to ensure the residents are happy.
Needless to say, I would highly recommend the Marquis at Turtle Creek to anyone!

My husband, Dog and I live in a 2 bedroom apartment on the front of the building and have been tenants for 5 months. I walk the area virtually everyday with my little dog. I recommend the Marquis because it is elegant like a Parisian building. It is a quiet place and the apartments are spacious. The place is remodeling all the apartments serially as tenants move out. There are 4 floors and maybe 90 apartments but some days I may only see 2 people. If you are social they have mixers with food and drinks all the time. There is a dipping pool and BBQ for tenants. The lobby has a coffee machine and coffees. We even have a fireplace.
The hallway outside my apartment is almost cold on warm days. You can email maintenance issues and they are speedy in responding.
This a dog lovers place. There is a jar of milk bone treats in the lobby supplied by management. They select a pet of the month each month. That pet gets stuff from a pet supply place. They have even had mixers that include the dogs.
Turtle creek is beautiful and the Katy trail is 2 blocks away. I loved my car parked inside during the sleet and snow. You can walk to a dozen restaurants, bars, dry cleaners, the post office, pharmacy and grocery. A GREAT place to call home!

WOULD recommend. My husband and I have lived here for 5 years and will be going on our sixth with our newborn baby coming soon. The best features of this community are: the location, quiet environment, a smaller community where you know majority of the people in the building, newly renovated units, parking garage, quiet-​private pool area and staff (especially Nicole/​Nikki).
Of course, no community is perfect and you will have to have patience with this older building in regards to the gate to parking garage and the elevators. Again, they have updated every community space and are currently renovating all the units. The benefits out weight the less than perfect aspects. Still, we WOULD recommend this community!

(RENT HERE) Impressed With The Variety Of Floor Plans & The Staff Knowing Knowledge Of The Area.

I would not recommend living in this apartment complex. They profess to maintain the place and they do not. We have had the dishwasher go out twice and the disposal fail twice. Each time we went en entire weekend unable ton use our kitchen sink, as this was not a priority. They profess to love pets and they obviously do not. Our dog was evicted because the neighbor below us could hear her «nails in the carpet» when she walked and ran. Once we were warned we had to keep he crated almost all the time except leashing her to go out. Next, Mr. Dog-​Lover called the police several times, because he could hear her, hear the dryer running and hear us walking on the floor. The management never asked our input and served us with an eviction notice for the dog, with the threat of seizing her and putting her in the dog pound if she was not removed in 24 hours. They claimed they had the right to have her eunthanized if we did not comply. Really dog friendly place. Fortunately we are temporary in this awful place, but I really feel sorry for other pet owners who think they are getting a great place to live.
