Massage Envy – Casa Linda

I booked a massage and facial for last night and I have to say the experience was great. The massage was firm working out a lot of knots and the facial was excellent. This morning I feel relaxed and 2 inches taller and my skin is glowing from the Murad facial. On March 20^th my review was less than stellar… ME won me over as a fan again. Last time I noticed they didnt have many varieties of lotions and it appears they have restocked. They were prompt getting me into my room. I really liked the fact that they set up my massage in the same room I had my facial so I was able to stay on the bed and relax. Great experience. Thanks for addressing whatever issues were previously going on here. I will be back.

My husband and I love coming here. The staff is wonderful and so accommodating to our needs!

Lan is amazing! I have been a member for many years but started using this location about a year ago. Uptown is closer to me but I like this appointment because its easy to get an appointment and parking is easier. Therapists have always been decent and I always have had a good experience. I went last night and got Lan! Oh my lord! She is amazing! She had techniques I had never experienced before! AMAZING! I already booked by next appointment for next week!

I had a wonderful experience here! My massage therapist, Carmella, was AWESOME. She gave a wonderful massage and didn’t talk during the massage (which was perfect!). The front desk was very courteous and professional.

Still loving this place after several years. Cynthia on staff is professional and personable. Today, called me back, after I had made an appointment with someone else, just to check if I could come in early so I could get my favorite tech for my massage. Just that extra attention and thoughtful customer service that is so lacking almost everywhere makes a big difference with me.
I hate going somewhere and the staff acts like they’re doing you a favor by letting you in, let alone helping you and being nice. It’s down to earth but isn’t lacking anywhere. Not snooty and stuffy like a lot of spas. Clean, inviting and relaxing. Best massage ever from Melchior. Best facial is still Linda hands-​down and I’ve had many in several different regions and establishments.
I’ve only been to one other ME, and it was good too, but this one’s convenient location, easy parking and staff keep me coming back.

BEST PLACE TO RELIEVE SOME STRESS! I have now been a message envy member for about a year now. Their membership program is fantastic! I always feel welcome when I walk into message envy @ casa Linda. After trying numerous locations and numerous different therapists. I’ve found the one who knows exactly what a deep tissue massage is! I highly recommend going to Nadia if you’re needing a deep tissue massage. Great customer service! Would definitely recommend this place :)

They will steal your sessions if you get ahead and want to cancel. I moved and kept my membership in good faith, but the local salon never has anyone available to help me. I called today and they told me they would confiscate my 8 sessions within a month after billing ceased.
They are frauds, and are being sued in a class action across the country
They refuse to give you the owner’s contact info when you ask. Shady outfit and I will file against them with the state atty’s office for fraud

I love this place! I’ve been a member of Massage Envy for 4 years but just recently started using Casa Linda location. I tried out a couple of masseuses and finally found Mary! She is amazing. She’s the only masseuse I’ve ever had that will spend the time to dig in to all of my trigger points. She is very detailed and I leave there feeling like a new person. Laura is also great as well. It’s always a relaxing experience and the front office staff is always more than helpful as well. I love that they give you a bottle of water at the end. I’ve tried 5 massage envy locations and this one is by far the best. It’s a steal for the monthly rate I pay!!!

It’s too bad I can’t give a ZERO star rating. I’ve had a membership with Massage Envy for several years now, and the Casa Linda location is normally pretty good. However, a few months ago I booked an appointment and was paired with a therapist named Patty.
During my session, Patty talked non-​stop. She went on to tell me that someone complained about her making racist remarks about the Jewish people, and that she spit while she talked. You know what she did then? She began to talk badly about the Jewish people, and spit while she talked! The very same things that she JUST told me someone complained about!
After the session I also complained, and I asked to NEVER be scheduled with her. They said that they noted my account and life went on… until this past weekend. I scheduled a 2 hour massage, and didn’t think to have them check my account to be sure that I wasn’t paired with Patty. When I went in, the woman came to take me to the room looked familiar, but I wasn’t sure. (She didn’t introduce herself) That is until halfway through the session when she made comments about the Jewish people, and SPAT on me! I mean WTF!!!
I called and spoke to one of the front desk agents and eventually spoke to the manager, Crystal. She apologized and offered 30 minutes to my account. What a joke! I eventually contacted the regional directors and was emailed back promptly. They said that they would contact the location for me to discuss the matter.
I eventually got an email from the owner, WIlson Chan, who apologized for the incident and said that Patty would be on probation for 3 months. The problem I have with this is that this therapist has had at least 3 complaints (One from whoever complained before me, and twice from me) about her racist remarks and spitting, and she continues to shoot her mouth off. On top of all this, during the session she said that she was a lead/​trainer. If that’s the type of person that is leading/​training the other therapists I want nothing to do with this location ever again.
So fair warning, if you visit this location, ask not to be paired with Patty. Unless you like hearing racist remarks, and being spit on.

Lots of negative reviews about this location, but I haven’t had the same experiences. I am hoping I don’t. I have a therapist at this location that I like a whole lot therefore, my experience is always great!

I been coming to this location for awhile and the massages have been ok. Today was completely different. Steve was the best. I did not have any problem areas today but he treated me like every area needed special attention. He was very professional and paid attention to every area. At the end I felt completely relaxed where most times I am still tense. Steve is an asset to this location and I will be asking for him next time.

Great massage every time. Christyna is the best. Really listens to your needs and enjoys her job.
Massage Envy offers fantastic prices. You just can’t get this quality of a massage for this cost anywhere.
I stick by my five stars for Christyna, but would rate the atmosphere at ME a 3. The music piped in during the massage is quite loud. Much more than background music.
Also, the walls are very thin, so any conversations or laughing in other rooms are loud and clear. Sometimes this can be entertaining when it’s a couples massage that you can hear.

Still love coming here. The women up front know me by name and are always friendly and helpful. My massage therapist, Patty, is awesome. I come every other week and I always get a great massage.

I have been enjoying the services of this Massage Envy every week for three years now and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with this spa. This location is easy to get to and although it is close to home I would drive much further to it if I needed to for their services. I arrive at my appointment time and am greeted at the front desk by three or four of the friendliest smiling business assistants. They always make me feel welcome and at home. My relaxing wait is only minutes before Rae takes me back for my massage. Rae is nice and friendly and is a wonderful massage therapist.
My advice is to give their services a try!!!

My girlfriend recently went to this location for a massage. She asked that certain areas be focused on, and also purchased the upgrades for her feet and deep tissue massage.
When she came out, I could tell immediately that it had been an awful massage. They had not focused on any of the areas that she had asked for, and the upgrades ate into the massage time, so the massage was only 30 minutes. No one had told her this was the case, otherwise she would not have paid extra for them.
When they asked her how it was when checking out, she said it was the worst massage she had ever had for the above reasons. The receptionist said that she would let the manager (Vanessa) know and then had the guts to charge full price with no mention of offering another massage or credit or anything. I was blown away.
And it gets worse, I have tried on over 5 occasions to get ahold of Vanessa the manager, and left many messages with not one call back. I am absolutely blown away by this awful customer service.
Whatever you do, DO NOT get a massage at this location. Go elsewhere! it is worth a bit more money for a massage that actually relaxes you.

I don’t like writing negative reviews at all; but this place needs one. I sure hope they are checking these posts out. I signed up for the 12 month membership, they call it a membership but it’s a contract actually. I still don’t understand the whole thing. Part of it is my fault. After a relaxing massage I was approached about the membership. I purchased it without really understanding it — totally my fault. So, I am charged every month whether I get a massage or not O_​o No one calls you to schedule a massage. the person that sold me the membership (contract) did NOT speak clearly. Not at all. Even when I called back another day to have it explained by someone else. She didn’t speak clearly either! UGH. I’m giving them 2 stars because as customer service staff they should have better communication skills. Massage Envy needs to step up and do better.

The customer service staff at the Casa Linda location is really bad. They truly have no understanding on to how to advise the products/​services they sell and they do not know the meaning of customer service. I have been going to the Casa Linda location for close to two years. I really like Linda for facials and had good experiences with the massage therapists. However, I have always dreaded setting up appointments for services with their uninformed, unexperienced and aloof service reps. But since their prices were reasonable and liked the massages/​facials, I put up with it. I always made sure I was on time and did not cancel an appointments. However, I had work issue last week and called 2:50 hours ahead of my appointment to cancel. I explained my situation to the service rep and I was told that I was going to be charged because I was 10 minutes over their three hour cancellation period. I tried to nicely reason with the service representative and she continued answering in robotic fashion over and over again that this was their policy and this was nothing against me but they have to charge me. I got so frustrated that I asked to speak to the service manager and was told he/​she was not in. By then, I was even more annoyed and I asked to cancel my membership. I was told that this had to be done in person and I needded to fill out the necessary paperwork to get out of my membership. Out of frustration I ended up hanging up on them.
Needless to say the Casa Massage Envy location does not understand how to service customers. Sadly I will truly miss Linda for my facials but I can’t handle dealing with their terrible customer service reps and I will need to take my business elsewhere. It would have been so easy for them to say, we let you cancel this time because you are a loyal customer and you are always on time, but please know we have a three hour cancellation policiy and I will need to charge next time if you are not able to cancel in the three hour limit. In this way I would have been very thankful for their ability to accomodate me and would have felt appreciated as customer. If in the future, I would have been late to cancel, I would have been totally ok with paying the extra charge. A truly stupid way for them of doing business and losing a loyal customers. At the end of the day, a customer values the overall experience and if service is part big part of it. I truly recommend for the Casa Linda location to train their service staff better on the services/​prodcuts they sell, empower them to have some flexibility in making decisions and teach them how to value customers!

Bought my hubby a gift certificate for Christmas and he had his massage today. His masseuse was very good, but the facility was not what we were expecting. If you’re looking for a bargain-​priced massage (obtained only with membership) and not concerned with atmosphere or that spa-​like experience, then you may like Massage Envy. His first concern upon arrival was the teenage-​like reception staff who are silly and don’t seem to have the answer to any questions. His initial appointment had been canceled by the spa and rescheduled and with that inconvenience he was promised a 90 minute massage, instead of his scheduled 60. Trying to discuss this with the staff and an add-​on he had scheduled was news to them, nor did they seem to care. In the end, he was only on the table for 50 minutes and was told the 90 minutes included his registration and initial discussion plan with his masseuse (?) Next, the table was short and uncomfortable for his 6’1″ frame. And, lastly, the place is very noisy with people talking right outside your room, chatty masseuse, etc. Just not the relaxing experience we were hoping for.

Sigh. I hate to have to come and write a negative review, but the experience I just had definitely warrants one.
I’ve been coming here on 3 month memberships for the past year. (They try to get you to do a 12 month, but there’s no financial incentive to do 12 vs 3).
My 3 month membership expired on Feb 26. Though I mistakenly thought it was on the END of February. (My fault for not stapling a note on my forehead)
I came in on Feb 27^th and the attendant told me it had just expired and she would have a supervisor call to me see if she could override that and just give me my last massage.
No call from Supervisor.
Came in on 29^th… asked for supervisor, not avail…“we’ll have her call you“
No call from Supervisor
I call on March 2… still no supervisor, however the attendant, «nicely» told me there was absolutely nothing she could do for me because «the system» said it was expired.
Look, I understand the reason policies exist. And honestly I was at fault for missing my deadline by one day.
But I’m a business owner. I deal with customers all the time. And this is DEFINITELY bad customer service policy that can only harm them.
When take extra steps to ensure that loyal customers are happy, EVEN IF they make a little mistake, you solidify customers for life.
Not only did they lose a customer for life, but I was so put off by their lack of cooperation that it encouraged me to stop what I was doing and write this negative review… mainly so they see it and understand what a Service-​Flub this is.
Social Media makes having EXCELLENT customer service much more imperative. I know that if I don’t treat my people right they now have a voice as well.
So bottomline, I had a good experience at this place UNTIL it came to this. I’m not bitter, I’m not angry. I’m disappointed and feel the company needs to know about it.
Looking forward to finding a new place that appreciates my business.

THERAPISTS WON“T SHUT UP!
This would be many of the therapists. They want to chit chat during the massage. Well I am there for silence and a massage to relax. There should be no talking past the initial first few minutes to get acquainted and discuss the procedure. Perhaps a mention of changing pressure or a «my leg is sore there» as initiated from the client.
UNSOLICITED ADVICE
If I tell you that I have a pre-​existing condition like a neck problem, or joint in my arm, believe me, I have been to doctors about it. So please stop trying to educate me about my chronic neck problem I have had for 8 years. I tell you what I have and you work on it. You are a massage therapist and if you do a good job, I will come back to you and will thoroughly enjoy your services. But don’t provide unsolicited and uneducated advice unless I ask.
Some of the staff provide good massages (and others stink it up big time). But for me no matter how good the massage if, they talk, it ruins it. But there are some good therapists there, I even found one masseuse who really knows how to target certain problems. Some have the gift, others do not.
MUMBLERS
The girls who answer the phone mumble and do not enunciate their words. I can never understand what they are saying. mumble ramble 90 miles an hour.
another positive is the quick cancellation and location. If they would avoid these other mumbling and talking issues, I could very well bump it up to 4 stars.

I scheduled an appt for a cranial sacral massage thinking it would provide a better masseur… didn’t quite work out as planned. I’m giving this three stars because finding a masseuse you like is like trying to find a hairdresser. At least women feel this way.
I asked for the head massage specifically and even added half hour to the massage time. I expressed interest in this on the paperwork, in the room with the masseuse and still left feeling like I was ignored. My back was a mess and she went to town on it… but if she had done the head FIRST, like I asked… the rest of me would have been more relaxed.
The cranial sacral part wasn’t impressive either… I’ve had a better head massage at hair salon. For an overall massage she was good, but I think its crap that I didn’t get what I wanted most!
Sigh… where is the one with the angels touch? To bad… this place is so close to me!

I’ve been a regular member here for about 9 months and have a regular masseuse that is outstanding. The service is excellent and they always call to remind me that I have an appointment — lest I forget and get charged for missing it.
However, the massages are so nice, I rarely forget about my scheduled appointments.

It’s a shame their customer service is so poor, because I’ve received the best deep-​tissue of my life here.
I used to go to this Massage Envy when I lived nearby. Moved to LA, and have continued to get my massage services in the Los Angeles area. Every once in a while, the folks at Casa Linda Massage Envy call me to remind me I’ve got some unused massage credits. So, when I called to book an appointment — thinking I’d called the local LA center, it turned out to be the Dallas, TX one…
I didn’t know!
I didn’t realize the mistake until the morning of my massage — I called to confirm my appointment, since they didn’t call me, I just wanted to be sure what time. Then I realized I was calling TEXAS, not LOS ANGELES. I explained the situation and apologized, and cancelled, saying I had booked in the wrong state, and I would call the local LA franchise, where I originally intended to be, to see if they could squeeze me in. They said that they were going to CHARGE ME for the full massage because I didn’t give them 2 hours notice. — It would have been PLENTY of time (3 hrs in advance), had it not been for the fact that I accidentally booked in the WRONG TIME ZONE!
I asked to speak with the manager, but they said the manager wasn’t on site, and they said they had no choice but to charge me because it was their policy. — me: «even if I end up being seen at another Massage Envy today?» — them: «yes.»
I’m thankful that: a) Massage Envy in Glendale was able to squeeze me in last-​minute, and b) I have such a good credit card company, they reversed the refuted charges immediately, without question.
Massage Envy in general is pretty awesome, and you can’t beat their prices, but in a service industry in a shitty economy, you’ve gotta have better customer service than that!
