Paninis Plus

So sad to hear that this place closed! I loved coming here for lunch. I hope the owner finds a way to open at another location and give it a second shot!

Unfortunately when I called today to find out the day’s soups the message said that the restaurant has permanently closed because they didn’t get enough business. Such a bummer because their food was fantastic. The recording also said if you have any Groupons, Amazon coupons, etc to contact that company for a refund.

So delicious! I got a groupon for $ 8 for $ 15 and came here for lunch on a Saturday. I got the hummus veggie wrap and it was so yummy! I tried their zucchini slaw and my sister had their corn slaw as a side. I personally really liked their corn slaw better. It’s a very cute restaurant with very friendly service. Their food presentation was amazing as well. Will def come back!

Found this place via Groupon, thought I’d give it a shot on one searing hot weekend.
I ordered the Seared Tuna Lettuce Wrap (pun unintended), and tried the «Zen» beverage (carrots, ginger, and apple smoothie drink).
The tuna was DELISH.
And especially the wasabi (but not-​so-​traditional-​wasabi) type sauce that the waitress brought with it on the side.
The lettuce wasn’t iceberg — it was BUTTER LETTUCE! Yum. Soft and crunchy and perfectly balanced without that raw-​veggie sting you get in your nose when you bite into freshy-​washed iceberg lettuce.
It was stuffed with roasted veggies and an assortment of raw but shredded veggies.
The only gripe I had with this dish was it wasn’t *quite* a wrap — really, there was no true way to wrap this thing and make it to your mouth without falling to pieces.
But it was delish, and I know how to use a knife and fork :).
I would also recommend asking for a little less soy sauce if you’re the sodium-​conscious, because it was a tad salty for me.
The Zen was very awesome. With awesomesauce on top.
I make my own smoothies at home on a regular basis, and I get pretty creative with my ingredients sometimes.
But whatever they did with this Zen drink was the *perfect* combo. Definitely a must-​try.
Chef also came out to check if everyone was happy with the food.

The décor, on the other hand, was a real disappointment.
It didn’t serve the food well at all. It felt more like an abandoned cafeteria that got kinda robbed, and then was cleaned up a bit.
The food, as I said, was pretty awesome. But the plates and foodware it was served on? Plastic to-​go cups (even though I was dining in), semi-​plastic feeling dining ware, and almost an IHOP-​type service with a little more plastic instead of glass.
It felt cheap.
And it felt like a true disservice to the high quality of food here.
Would I come again? Maybe.
If I do, it’ll be for the food, and not necessarily the whole dining experience because of the spartan environment.

My girlfriend and I decided to come here on a whim and I’m glad we did.
I got the steak panini with zucchini slaw and she got the Purple Pig with corn. Mine was good but hers was amazing, I’ll definitely be getting the Purple Pig next time we come in.
The zucchini slaw was really good and I think the better of the two sides.
Overall a great place and I’ll definitely be back!

First time visit for a bunch of panini fans and we will definitely be back! The Purple Pig was fantastic – tender smoked pulled pork on a soft grilled wheat roll with a lightly sweet chipotle sauce and mild pico. Seriously one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a while. Loved the zucchini and carrot slaw as a side – nice spice – and sampled the Southwest Corn Salad. If you’re adventurous at all skip the chips and go for one of these sides. The Grilled Veggie Panini and shrimp bisque got raves as did the Chicken Ranch Wrap and the Sirloin Steak Panini.

We (all 4 of us) really enjoyed this place. We had the «pick 2».
One ½ turkey bacon panini, shrimp bisque soup and corn and black bean salad. ($ 10) The soup was not as hot as I like but it was absolutely delicious.

One ham and cheese panini with apple chunks ($ 6.80). For the picky kid (whom ate it all)
One steak and cheese panini with corn and blank bean salad ($ 8.90) my husband was pretty impressed.
We also had the black bean hummus which was tasty as well. Nothing was over seasoned and everything was fresh. Even getting husband panini to go produced a tasty crisp panini, not a soggy mess.
We also tried the crème brûlée and it was really good as well. The perfect mini size.
The owner seemed very nice. We came here to support the school PTA but would come back anytime. Happy it’s close to where we live.
Give it a try I’m sure you will find something to please everyone.

Came to try this place thanks to an Amazon local deal and so glad I did. The Strawberry salad is amazing. Loved the veggie flatbread and kids enjoyed their chicken ranch flatbread & ham and cheese panini! Will definitely be back!

This place is dang good. We were greeted immediately by a nice gentleman, and our orders were placed right away. The food came out very quickly. You can seriously taste the freshness of this food. The ingredients are fantastic. It’s very very savory, and would recommend to everyone!

Paninis Plus has paninis, soup, salads and mini desserts. It reminds me of a deli shop inside a building. The inside looks like a Chinese restaurant but with barely any decorations. I was the only one there and it seemed pretty dead.
What got me here was the check in deal. You get a free dessert if you check in. The kind girl at the front suggested some paninis and flatbreads. I eventually got the purple pig. It has pulled pork, pico, raspberry chipotle sauce and something else. As for the side I got the zucchini slaw and crème brûlée for the dessert. The panini had lots of meat and little pico. The bread that was used is from La Spiga Bakery and it was delicious. The bread was probably the best and made the sandwich top notch. As for the panini itself… well it has a lot of meat and I didn’t taste much of the sauces. The meat did have a nice texture and was quiet tender. I am not a huge meat fan so I wasn’t as pleased but like I said the bread did it all. The outside of the panini was caramelized and added a sweet flavor. The zucchini slaw wasn’t what I expected. I was told that it would be sweet but it wasn’t anything near being sweet. It had a black pepper tangy taste and I couldn’t tell if I was eating cucumbers or zucchini. When I was asked if everything was ok I told them that I didn’t like the zucchini slaw. They immediately exchanged it for ruffle chips. These aren’t healthy chips but the simple oily ruffle chips The crème brûlée was just ok but not the best I’ve had.
Now if the owner is reading this please use gloves when handling food. The customers don’t know if you washed your hands or not. Honestly, seeing your food being touched with bare hands isn’t a pleasing sight or appetizing as well. The girl that helped me out was the food runner/​server/​cashier. She was very nice and had good hospitality.

Great place! Service was excellent and food was fresh and tasty. My husband and I had lunch there for the first time. The lady at the front gave us lots of great descriptions of the food to help us decide what the order. I love all the healthy options. I ordered the $ 10 mix it up deal where you get to choose 2 half sized items of either panini, wrap and/​or salad. It includes a side item and a drink. I went with the apple Cranberry pecan salad and the purple pig panini with the zucchini slaw. My husband ordered the Castro panini with diced apple side.
The food was delicious! The dressing for the salad was tangy and just the right amount of sweet. The purple pig had a raspberry chipotle sauce that was super yummy. My husband’s Castro panini had the perfect amount of mustard and pickle. He eats Cuban Paninis at other places and this one was by far the best one. My favorite thing was actually the zucchini Carrot slaw side. Finally a healthy side that is satisfying! It was crisp, crunchy and tangy with a apple cider vinaigrette.

Pleasant surprise. We stopped in on a Friday night (not wanting to wait at a sit down restaurant). Owner was helpful explaining the menu and options. I went for the half buffalo chicken wrap and shrimp bisque. The soup was good (made there) and nice and hot. Buffalo wrap had good flavor and crunch. The corn and black bean salad (side option) was so tasty. Fresh and spicy! Three options for tea (all unsweetened with many sweetening options).
I will definitely be back to try some more!

I really wanted to like this place. In love the concept. The menu is diverse. I came in for a take out order right before they closed (I didn’t realize this at the time). The food was pretty quick, I waited less then 5 minutes, for 2 orders and 2 desserts. Everyone was really nice, so I give the service an A. The décor is basic and simple, but in a good way. There is more opportunity to sit down and enjoy a nice meal, better then I expected, as I was expecting it to more look like other fast casual restaurants.
However, I found the food lacking. My husband and I split The Castro and buffalo chicken flatbread. The castro had a good portion of meat which I liked. However, it was just a little bit bland. There didn’t seem to have much seasoning and I didn’t taste the mustard at all. The texture of the bread was good though and there was plenty of cheese. The buffalo chicken flatbread had good flavor, but it was super soggy. We ate half immediately and half the next morning. It was soggy immediately and didn’t hold together in the morning. I think both items needed to be toasted longer, but especially this one. The serving sizes were good. The two sandwiches with sides actually lasted us two meals. The chips were good, but I really liked the zucchini slaw. Its nice, crisp and fresh and really refreshing just to see a lighted side on a menu.
The desserts were really good. We had the key lime pie and the crème brûlée. Both were really good and I love little desserts, so I definitely recommend these. However, since I got a to go order, they put these in the same bag with the warm sandwiches. They were warm when I got home and I had to leave them in the fridge for awhile before we could eat them. I recommend separating cold items from warm for to go orders.
Overall I like the concept and I may be back for a quick, reasonable priced meal. I do appreciate anyone who puts calories on their menus. However, as a place seemingly focused on healthy options, I would like to see a few smaller options and more items under 500 calories.

I love that there is a healthier place to venture out to that is nearby. I always drove by this place and wondered about it. I decided to check it out the other day.
This place supports local farms, and everything is fresh! They offer paninis with their bread from La Spiga, lettuce wraps, flatbread wraps, salads and soups of the day. I decided to go with the $ 10 lunch combo where you can mix it up with half portions. I decided to order half chicken and bacon flatbread and then the southwest chicken salad. The wrap was really good, it had flavor, and I really liked the salad. The chicken on the salad was REALLY GOOD. Overall, I was impressed as the staff was friendly, and they offer a variety.
I’ll definitely come back as prices are all decent. They also have nutrition info on the menu.

Update: I’ve been here a few more times, even ordered dinner to-​go and each time the food was great. I can’t stress the chicken pesto panini enough. The owner is there every time I go in and always checks to make sure everything is okay. Place remains awesome.

The food here is great. Quantities just right for the price and the service was fast. Definitely recommend this place to have a quick and delicious meal.

My first visit was awesome. Greeted by super friendly staff (Hope?) who walked me through the menu and made sure I knew what I was ordering. I ordered a ½ bbq chicken panini with a cup of chicken noodle soup. For the side I ordered chips (they accidentally gave me the zucchini slaw and when I saw it I said, that’s okay! I want this! He also came back with chips, which are home made!) Zucchini slaw was light weight and delicious. The bbq chicken panini was good, however the bread was a little soggy. Chicken noodle soup was good, roasted chicken with lots of flavor in it. Perfect portions and a good price.
I will definitely be back, lots of other options to chose from!

Great little Panini place. My only suggestion would be more panini choices. I loved that they had several soup options (4 that I can remember) and offer a Mix It Up Combo, which includes two half orders of anything, plus a side and drink for $ 10 (tax included). I had the Chicken Pesto Panini, Lobster Bisque, Slaw and the Passionberry Tea. Everything was delicious.
The slaw is a healthier option, which is nice, made with zucchini, carrots and an apple cider vinaigrette. The Lobster Bisque was so good, I’d probably go back just for that. The bits of lobster were smaller, which I prefer, and it was very creamy.
My husband had the Cuban Panini and Chicken Noodle Soup (substituted as his side) for $ 10.48. He said that both items were very good.
I love that they have mini dessert option too at a low price of $ 2.75 each (crème brûlée, key lime pie, chocolate mousse). We were too full to try them this time, but we will definitely be back.
This place is BYOB as well.
