Grassroots marketing at its finest. Today a coworker was handed a menu for Café Paris in the Patriot Tower building(which is across the street from us). The excitement in the office grew, as several people were anxious to leave their desk and see what«Paris» was all about. Down the elevator. Across the street. Through the revolving door. And– there we were. It’s a typical downtown café– lacking a feeling of individuality and trudging through the generic-ness that plagues downtown business areas. However, I give them points for actually having croissants, which makes sense given the name. A full-service kitchen in the back will prepare anything from scrambled eggs to teriyaki chicken for you. It was an eclectic menu to say the least. While others opted for the cheap 2.75 deal– 2 eggs, bacon, and toast. I just went with a pastry. Which I’m slightly regretting at this moment, because the office smells of breakfast, and my pastry is so boring– it has no smell at all. So that is the mystery of Café Paris. Case closed.
