Parkit Market

The burger was awesome! You won’t be disappointed. I’ve also had the chicken salad sandwich which was really good too. The sandwich was $ 6 and a little small but I will definitely be back for another burger.
They have a sign in the parking lot stating they were voted one of the best burgers in Dallas. I’d agree.

I’ve always wanted to try the «best burger in town «since I first moved here back in 2012. So, today
Instead of passing by again, I decided to quit my wondering and give it a try. I won’t lie their cheeseburger is pretty good. I can’t wait to go back for the Frito Pie…

Love this little store! It’s like stepping back into the 60’s — the Deli has wonderful sandwiches —
the staff (which are made up of family) are the nicest & most attentive to all customers!

I have to admit: that is one tasty burger!
Someone’s grandma took my order for a swiss jalapeño burger and served it up hot and fresh, with some of the freshest veggies (iceberg lettuce leaf, tomato slice and onion) that I have ever had on a burger that was not made at home.
I also had the chili, which was unremarkable, but the burger more than made up for the Hormel-​tasting cup of meh.
They have a full list of sandwiches, which I will be back to try if I can resist getting another burger.

Adorable little liquor store, great selection and prices. Not extensive, but compact with good options in all price ranges.

I recently discovered that the Parkit Market’s deli serves a barbecue sandwich, and although I wasn’t expecting much, I was determined to eat it.
First Attempt:
I know it’s just a mom-​and-​pop operation here, but the service was still excruciatingly slow. I ordered their Homemade B.B.Q. on a Bun, only to be told that he didn’t have barbecue today. Sadly, I had to settle for a Ham, Salami, and Cheese Sub.
This was the tiniest little sandwich I’ve eaten in a while, even though it cost me $ 4.79 plus tax. The sub bun was still cold, meaning that they most likely refrigerate their bread. If I’m going to pay five bucks for a sandwich, at least give me a fresh bun. Needless to say, the sandwich was nothing special and really isn’t worth describing in detail.
My wife’s Chicken Bacon Cheese sandwich was equally as bad. Hers was a «hot sandwich,» which apparently meant using the microwave to heat the chicken, and then again to melt the cheese. It was incredible dry by the time all was said and done.
Second Attempt:
This time I ended up with the «Mom» in the mom-​and-​pop duo. She was much friendlier and dolled out much faster service than I’d received from Pop. I once again ordered their Homemade B.B.Q. on a Bun, and I was in luck today, at least as far as availability goes.
I unwrapped my sandwich at home, and it looked absolutely disgusting. It was more like a glob of shredded beef (I hoped), akin to a Sloppy Joe or a Manwich. The meat, if you can even call it that, was greasy and extremely mushy with way too much salt. There was a hint of spiciness in the meat, though I’m not sure about the source. I couldn’t bring myself to eat more than a few bites before tossing it in the trash.
My entire ordeal with the Parkit Market ended up being a complete waste of time, energy, and money.

While stopping by for my Lenten tradition of grabbing homemade egg salad sandwiches for lunch — I learned several things about Parkit Market. It’s family owned, a 92 year old mother of the owner hand makes the sandwiches and salads daily and it’s THE place to get kegs in Dallas based on a review from a handful of strappy frat boys piling $ 1200 worth of kegs in an expensive pickup truck. I also noticed that they had several canned selections of brewski from the Lakewood Brewing Co. Moral of this story? So for the sandwiches, stay for the beer.

Easy charm is the Parkit Market.
It’s Saturday night and that undeniable molecule of excitement and splendor is arching in the air. Departing Desperados … salty lime delight on my tongue, I get lost in promises of a bright future from the limelight of the Parkit Market window. Being a Saturday night, I had a high expectation to select the most perfect drink for maneuvering to the next party. Hmmm, this looks to be an average place, but as I shop, the man behind the counter transforms into a helpful, soulful, and fun man. He assures me the bargain bin wines are solid. As I read the labels for truth, he is correct, they are fabulous wines marked down to less than $ 5. Hmmm, but I thirst for beer, and am feeling sentimental for my ancestors and choose an ice cold Natural Light, as was my grandmothers beer of choice. Realizing I wasted about 10 minutes of the good man behind the counter’s time, I figured he would be taken aback and annoyed by my purchase of a lone Natta’ girl, but instead he rings me up with a gentile caress of the cash register and delicately wraps my wholesome can of heritage like a rare jewel and says, «fine choice, please come back again.»! YES Parkit Market, I am yours.

Every time I plan a party, Parkit Market is in the mix. A keg with cups, ice, tap, and trash can comes to about $ 145, which is well worth it. Parkit market makes it really convenient, and they’ll load up the keg in your car for you, pre-​tapped. They also sell ping pong balls for your keg-​related festivities. They also usually give you 2 – 3 days to return your stuff, just in case you’re feeling groggy on Sunday.
Here are some tips for survival:
1. They have 5-​hour energy at the checkout. Buy a couple and you’ll be much appreciated late-​night.
2. If it’s a big one, get a second keg. Parkit Market almost always has extras, and it’s as little as $ 85 (assuming you’re willing to sneak a Coors original into the fray) for the second one because you don’t have to get a second tap, trash can, cups, or ice.
3. Parkit Market has awesome sandwiches; I always grab one as an easy dinner since I’m usually running around trying to throw the shindig together.
I realize that this review is mostly about the keg offerings. But hey, other than that it’s a convenience store. They have normal stuff.

So… when I walked into PM I kinda felt like I’d found a bit of a gem. This is a no-​nonsense, no frills place that always has a football game playing and always kinda feels like coming home. Haven’t checked out the deli or the keg beer, but if I ever need a keg, I’m definitely coming here.
The guys behind the counter are always friendly but not creepy friendly, and I always seem to get in and out of there pretty quick even when there’s a bit of a line. Decent prices on everything. Love this place.

As many of the previous posts have stated «THIS IS THE BEST PLACE IN DALLAS TO GET KEG BEER». With that said, they have a great selection of kegs. For special beer go online to their website see what they have and call ahead to get it delivered to the store. They can usually get anything in a few days. They have all the gear for your CO2 needs as well. I home brew beer and I always get my CO2 from Parkit Market. If you are waiting around for a keg, get a sandwich. They are just like mom used to make. Good stuff all around.

I seems as if everyone who has lived in Dallas for any length of time at all knows that if you want a keg, you get that keg at the Parkit Market. I don’t know about their keg service. What I know about is their lunch counter. I am always looking for little lunch counters to try. The sandwiches at Parkit Market are good and cheap. I don’t know that I have ever had «regular» all-​American white Sandwich Bread that was as fresh as I have gotten at Parkit Market. Good quality. Cheap. Fresh. Made fast. Works for me…

I used to live in the apartment complex right behind the Markit. So obviously I was there daily. Whether to feed my tobacco addiction or to buy a Diet Dr. Pepper or a Lottery ticket, those guys were there for all my needless needs.
I was on a first name basis with the tall guy who always wore a hat (sorry buddy, bad memory… THANK YOU COLLEGE!). I once tried to buy a lottery ticket on my debit card *please hold the laughter* I thought since it was debit it was like cash… it was my first few months on my own… stop it. Anyways, he laughed and said he couldn’t do it. He gave me one anyway and promised if I won to split the winnings with him. OK!!! Sad, I didn’t win.
My roomie and I threw a party… trust me. This is the place to get your kegs… they have anything you want… in a keg.
When we moved… I went to say goodbye to those guys. I almost felt like I was leaving for another planet.
Great place, show the love. These little stores are so much better than your 7 – 11 and Kwik Mart needs… they’re the PARKIT GUYS!

i don’t know if they don’t like me or i did something to them one time that i don’t remember… but they are pretty much dicks when i go in there… which is like every day.
i was talking to a friend the other day and this randomly came up. she said the same thing. and i was like «but everyone loves parkit market»… and they do. hell, i still go there in spite of it.
maybe they just think i’m a douchebag. i guess its possible, but i don’t own any shirts that look like they have lots of trees and vines on them… with crosses.

Lemme just tell you about Parkit Market. Every time we drove by Parkit Market my dad would tell us the same story about how it was THE place to get kegs and you nary could find such nice people and blah blah blah. This went on for about 4 months, just until he realized everyone in the car made fun of him about telling the same story 10 dozen times. Poor dad.
So, when time came for us to have our first big party at our new house, what did we do? Get a keg from where? Parkit Market.
They were super easy to work with, had a HUGE keg selection and even helped us load it into the truck. I had to deliver the keg back to the P’ Market alone and they were super nice and chivalrous and helped me lift it out of the bed of my dad’s truck.
On the website you can see the collection of available types of kegs. Now we’re just busy dreaming about our next party (Octoberfest with a few German pony kegs and brats?) and getting to do business with the Parkit Market folks again.

This place is like my own little grocery store, i use it just about on the daily. It’s family owned, they all work there, and they couldn’t be nicer people. I’m from near by, and when i first started coming hear again after college, the guy said «i remember you, you used to try to buy beer here in high school», and he was correct, but let’s move on.
It’s on a very small scale, but they have anything you could get at a grocery store (outside of prodcue), and it’s a lot quicker. They make all kinds of homemade sandwiches at the awesome deli in the back. To list a few that i have had, and will have again… Turkey, Tuna, Meatball, and the burgers there are very solid. Also, check the sign on the way in, they’ve always got some sort of lunch special. They have cheaper beer prices than anyone else in the neighborhood, esp the kegs. And they take care of everything when you get your keg from them.
The same family owns that whole strip center. There is also a liquor store, floral shop, cleaners and a place to get your haircut. Basically, you could live there.

If you need a keg of beer, this is the place to get it. They have a large selection of keg beers for all your party needs. They also will deliver it, but it is $ 50 or something like that so just go pick it up yourself.
