If you want your car serviced by incompetent 15 year olds, then this is the perfect place for you. When they say trust the boys, they really mean boys.
A man named Chris who wants to believe that he’s a good manager, is rude as hell and passive aggressive. Literally this man was storming around and had a bad attitude.
During a routine oil change, they managed to melt my Honda brake light and claimed that they’ve never seen an occurrence like it. They did honor to replace it (as I would expect nothing less).
When I came back to have my light replaced, once again I had the pleasure of talking with lovely Chris. I waited and allowed the brake light to be replaced. I then complained because the brake light was replaced, but the adhesive foam on the brake light was still on and it was not put on seamlessly. I had to wait another 15 minutes while Chris fixed the kindergartener’s work who didn’t take the foam off. All the while Chris was rude complaining about 50 degree weather.
I will NEVER bring my car here again. You might as well pay a little more and get some real service. i was upset enough that I was inconvenienced and had to bring my car back, but the cherry on the top was Chris’ attitude. He should stay in the back where he doesn’t have to deal with customers because he is unable to act professional and will probably throw a tantrum like a 2 year old like he did with me.

Had an «appointment» at 1pm for a brake inspection. By 2:30 they had finally put my car on the lift and taken tires off. Then, the «technician» TOOK A LUNCH BREAK!!! WHAAAAAAT? By 3pm I had had enough and had to ask them what was going on. Oooooo they didnt like that! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. NEVER USE THIS LOCATION — IF YOU MUST USE PEP BOYS.

After purchasing my tires from Pep Boys a few months ago, I noticed that my tire pressure light had turned on. I went in and Greg checked my tire pressure and put air in my tires in a matter of a few minutes and I was on my way. Thank you Greg! Also it is always nice to go into a business and have the employees know their inventory, not always the case, but at Pep Boys on Forest they are happy to help you find what you need and get you back on the road again.

Great service and experience after dealing with flash flood weather, delaying my appointments by 1 ½ hours. Special thanks to the gentleman who attended to my car today, I ran in after dealing with the high water during the crazy flash flood rain, I believe I ran over a limb causing a cover under my car to unscrew and drag while I drove. The gentleman did a quick fix with instructions of what to do for a real fix and I was on my way. Huge thanks!

Came in for an oil change, tire rotation, alignment, and replace a HID headlight. The alignment machine was not working, and they noticed my brakes lights were not working. 2 hours later everything was complete. One of the guys in the front had to come help with the HID light since it costs a lot of money. But I was satisfied with the job at hand. Could have been a little quicker, but ok with time. I should have been offered a discount since the alignment couldn’t be done.
Tip. get the rewards card (free) so you can get free tire rotation when doing oil changes and other coupons.

Bought a battery here and asked them to install it. Watched 4 workers stand around and do virtually nothing for an hour and a half. I had enough and asked the manager to put my battery in the trunk and I would take it home and install it. He explained that two of the workers were in training and the other two were working on other cars. That’s not what I witnessed. I will never shop here again.

Great service to replace a headlight. Only $ 11.90 and they installed it free. I was in and out in 10 minutes on a Sunday morning. I had come in on Saturday but the wait was long, so Randolph asked if I could come back the next morning. Blaine was the one who helped me today. Both friendly and professional. Will be back!

I came into pep boys a week ago for a routine oil and tire replacement. 2,000 dollars worth of external damage was done to my car, and Randolph, the service manager at the store off forest lane in Dallas, said the damage was already there. Even though he acknowledged that on video the car door worked perfect the whole time it was there. To make things even better nobody told me there was damage to my door, I found out when I tried to open it. Randolph also left me standing there for two hours without an apology. So now since he lied through his teeth to me about damage done to my car I get to enjoy another week of crawling in through my passenger door until the area manager can look at the camera. If I don’t get the money for repairs soon pep boys will be hearing from my lawyer.

this review is 100% for mr Randolph moore! when i came in with my mom today it was for just a oil change but he had a three hour wait because it was so busy! not only did he make sure to smile and be courteous to every single customer irrate or otherwise that walked though the door but he made sure to keep us up dated on the progress of our car! this guy was great i would go back on a busy day if i knew he was there running the front desk show!

Randolph, the service manager, is an OG. He takes care of every customer with style and class. I’ve been bringing my ’03 Jetta here for years and I’ve never had a single issue with them.

Wasted hours of our time. We came in for an oil change, tire rotation and inspection. They charged $ 45 to investigate the check engine light — which was only on because of a loose gas cap. They FORGOT to rotate the tires. They couldn’t do the inspection because they «reset the computer» and it can’t be inspected now until we drive 150 miles. Arrived at 8:00am and was there for over 3 hours for this sup-​par service. Don’t waste your time.

I took my SUV into this Pep Boys location for a simple routine 4-​wheel alignment a few months ago. I was first in line when they opened and was told it would take 1 ½ hours tops. 5 hours later my vehicle had still not been put on the alignment rack. I noticed another vehicle whose owner had come in some 2 hours after me up on the alignment rack. I pointed it out the the now previous manager «Bruno» who realized they accidentally put 2 cars ahead of me and completely forgot about my truck.
Long story short, they tried to hastily do my alignment and in the process they stripped both of the bolts on my tie-​rods in an effort to adjust them so the alignment was within specifications. They used an air compressor which stripped the bolts, then I watched them physically beating a wrench with a pipe trying to free the stuck bolts. 3 men were taking turns hitting the wrench in a downward motion with a large pipe. They also heavily scratched my factory wheels and when I pointed out the damage they refused to admit that they had caused it.
I was given a slight discount and left Pep Boys. I immediately noticed my truck pulling to the right. I drove it to my mechanic who put my truck up on the lift and showed my how bad the damage was. In their attempt to «align» my truck they had not only stripped the bolts on the tie rods but had bent the drivers side tie rod so much that it could not be salvaged. The cost to repair the damage and re-​align my truck was $ 691.00. This was ON TOP of the $ 290.00 I paid Pep Boys TO TOTALLY SCREW UP AND DAMAGE MY VEHICLE!
I went in for a «preventative maintenance service» thats should have cost $ 99 plus tax and ended up spending over $ 1000.00 dollars.
Pep Boys would not reimburse me for the repairs made at my mechanic even when I produced the receipts. Bruno insisted that the work had to be completed by Pep Boys. How on earth do they expect me to trust them with that repair after they caused so much damage over a simple alignment. They are entirely incompetent and should not be trusted with any vehicle.
…and for the record, in the 7hrs total I spent in the waiting room, I overheard Bruno screw over SEVERAL elderly residents of Northhaven Park.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!

Can’t say good things, I went there because Bruno has provided me with great service, but I found out he’s not there anymore!.. and Randy or Radall, the guy I spoke to is as bad as the rest, the place is a mess, the only person worth of consideration is Josephine at the store… really dissapointed, just went back to firestone.

Car was brought in at 8:00 appointment. No major service, but my car is still not ready and it is 5:50 pm!!’

I made an appointment for an oil change and then had to wait over an hour for them to just find the time to pop the hood and pretend like they were actually working on my car. It’s really disheartening sitting in a waiting room for hours while 4 shop workers are just stranding around cracking jokes. It’s safe to say that I will never come back to this location.

They have raondom things and random prices. The workers are not helpful but at least friendly. They car service people take FOREVER to doanything. An oil change takes like 3 hours and the prices are not cheap for the amount of time wasted.
