Pickles & Ice Cream Maternity Apparel

I have never been into this store, but went for the first time today. I was looking for a designer pair of jeans. I was explaining to the shop owner how I was struggling to find clothes that are trendy and on point. She proceeded to tell me her «pregnancy spiel» about how cute and trendy doesn’t sell and that’s why she doesn’t keep it in her store. I was telling her I have fancy events soon coming up and I needed a really dressy item. She proceeded to tell me most women don’t want these items and they go with a black dress, and she only keeps fancy items during the holiday. These are formal events and a knit dress isn’t going to cover it, (and the items in her store weren’t going to cut it) She pulled me some jeans, and was somewhat helpful but then extremely pushy. I thought she was plain rude. I found a pair of jeans and made an excuse why I couldn’t buy them, but the reason I didn’t was because of her attitude towards me. I asked if they carried seven jeans or another brand and she curtly informed me that she doesn’t carry them in the store and they only carry them at pea in the pod. She ignored me on the way out even though I politely said goodbye. I was ready to spend a good chunk of change on the most expensive clothing in her store. Way to treat first time customers, and turn them off from your store! I have two dear friends that are pregnant, and have already told them to not waste their time. Word of mouth is very important. Women need support, and a friendly attitude, and someone who is helpful, not a pushy and rude shop owner. Won’t be going back!
