History

Established in 1996.

Potpourri of Silk is a Dallas family business which was established in 1996.

The founders passion began at the young age of 9 with her mothers direction.

Her passion and her mother’s dream for cuisine never subsided during her career as a graphic designer and art director at a local university.

In 1996 she decided to start her own bakery providing wedding and special event cakes for the Dallas — Fort Worth clientele. As the business matured, the site at 317 N. Zang Blvd was purchased and established as Potpourri of Silk.

During the years her passion for the culinary arts was instilled into her son which lead him to attend culinary school at Texas Culinary Academy and graduating with a degree in the culinary arts and specializing in French cuisine. After working in French restaurants in Florida, Dallas and Montréal it was then decided to combine their experiences to introduce a new concept for Potpourri of Silk.
