Established in 1998.

German-​born owner, a Master Cabinet Maker by trade, emigrated to Canada in 1998, where he opened his first store. This is his first US retail location. Strong European commitment to natural products, the furniture and décor items represent natural materials, organic oils on wood pieces, no synthetic chemicals, and 100% certified organic bed and bedding exclusively available in US through Natural by Design.

After several years, he began to see that most of his customers although affluent and buying luxury furnishings for their expensive homes were still unhappy. He realized a common characteristic many of these busy, successful people had in addition to stress was a lack of sleep. He wondered which caused the other and how bed design mattered when it came to getting a good night’s sleep.

His quest lead him to the Austrian Institute for Sleep Psychology where he became a certified holistic sleep coach. It’s this work today that he finds most fulfilling because of the huge benefits his clients realize in their health and their happiness. It’s a difference you can actually see in their faces.
