Hopefully by now you’ve had Cane’s before, and you either like the food or you don’t. At first, this was a negative experience. When I pulled into the drive thru there was already a car at the window, so I figured it would only be a matter of minutes until that delicious chicken was kicking my starvation’s ass. I made my order, pulled behind, and enjoyed the song that was on the radio, and imagined all the Cane’s sauce that would soon be in my life. During the next song, I decided I would mix some ketchup into the Cane’s sauce, because it could use a little sweetness, and I didn’t know whether or not they had barbecue sauce. The theme of my thoughts during the third song revolved around whether I would start eating on the way home, which is about 25 minutes away, or if I should wait until I get there so I could really focus on how delicious my food was. When the fourth song started, I realized a fourth song was starting, and it had been almost 20 minutes. I kept seeing the driver’s arm in front of me come out of the window argumentatively, then finally saw food exchanged. There were at least 4 cars behind me now, and if every order took this long, I thought about letting the guy in the back know that he should probably use his phone to start a movie on Netflix. Finally the car in front of me left and I pulled up. I was greeted by a young blonde lady, whose name I unfortunately don’t recall, with an exasperated look on her face. She immediately apologized for the wait and I told her it was okay, although I was a little annoyed, but I knew that it wasn’t her fault. She repeated my order and I confirmed it, then right as she was going to give me the total she said, «You know what, I’m just going to give it to you. It’s ridiculous how long you had to wait.» I hadn’t asked for this, but the fact that she took the initiative to attempt to remedy the bad experience that I had made me very appreciative. Also, she gave me like 7 Cane’s sauces, so it was a really good day. This location is in an area I’m often in, surrounded by other fast food restaurants I could go to, but after the service I received, I’ll probably be coming here every time I get hangry. I don’t expect to get free food every time(or ever) again, but the fact that they cared enough about customer service to comp a meal for extended wait time makes me loyal. Also, in case you were wondering, I decided to only eat half my fries on the way home. TL;DR Great food, sometimes slow, but great service.

Their«Cane’s» sauce is really good. This location recently opened and is currently pretty crowded. It will likely die down with a little bit of time. I really like their bread and their chicken fingers are good. The more I eat their Cane’s sauce the more addicting it seems to be. It is not the fastest fast food, but the quality is high.

A new Cane’s just opened at the corner of Forest and North Central Expressway and it’s a very convenient location if you live around here. All the other Cane’s locations are 10 or more minutes away and Cane’s needs to be more like McDonald’s or Starbucks with one on almost every corner. Dare I say that Cane’s is better than Chick-Fil-A?! It’s different for sure, but between the two I would go with Cane’s especially since they are open on Sundays. If you’ve never been before, Cane’s has fried chicken strips, crinkle fries, sandwiches, and toast. Their chicken is always golden and crispy. The best part has to be the Cane’s dipping sauce. My boyfriend and I went to christen this Cane’s about a week after it opened and the service was excellent. The food was excellent. However, I will say that I went to the drive thru a few days later and it was extremely slow. I’ll chalk it up as new store kinks. Overall, the food is just as good as all the established locations and I know that the speed of drive thru service will improve with time.
