Patients who come to Southwest Cardiothoracic Surgeons will have access to two of the country’s leading, board-​certified, cardiothoracic surgeons who specialize in specific, high-​level surgical procedures. Dr. Todd Dewey and Dr. Mitchell Magee are committed to utilizing minimally invasive technologies whenever possible for better long-​term outcomes and quality of life for their patients. Dr. Dewey specializes in the treatment of valvular related heart disease, cardiac transplantation, mechanical assist devices, and complex coronary artery disease. Dr. Magee is the first surgeon in North Texas to perform minimally invasive laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgeries for cancers of the lung, esophagus and mediastinum. His practice focuses on general thoracic surgery with a specialization in thoracic oncology and minimally invasive surgery.
